Avatar f tn The heal faster book is pretty much as it says, but discusses topics like how to best communicate w/health care pros, establishing a support network, relaxation/prayer (which is helpful in any procedure, including going to the dentist!), and--relevant to me--determining whether you are a high or low information person. Lots makes me most comfortable!

773214 tn?1295135069 Once I gain some energy from this first trimester I would really like to start some sort of work out routine but I was wondering if any of you used a particular dvd or anything. I have been looking online and I am confused on which one to go with after reading the customer reviews, etc...I am not a hardcore type of girl but I don't want something TOO easy either....any recommendations? Once the weather gets nicer I will try to get outside and walk.

483733 tn?1326798446 s why the 5 mile walk is nice because you have the option to do the workout with just the music and no instruction (she must have gotten a few "suggestions" after a few of her dvds lol)

Avatar m tn Frank, My neighbor whi is a Caption in the LA Fire Department invited me over one day to try out the P90X workout routine. We did the Plyometrics one that day and it was pretty awesome workout. I'm in pretty good shape and was a rower in college. Um that was 20 some years ago though but I wanted to get somewhat close to being in the shape I was.
7941162 tn?1395603116 Someone once told me music is 350mg of painkiller, and it’s true. The music takes your mind off the achy legs, the tightening of your chest, the anxiety you feel for the pills. Look, you want the withdrawal symptoms to go away faster? Well it isn’t going to happen, unless you get out of the bed, off the chat rooms and sweat it out. Go to the gym, park, anywhere you can get a good workout and sweat. These toxins we have all put into our bodies need to come out.
Avatar f tn You can stay motivated! Be realistic. You may dream of running the Boston Marathon or climbing Mount Everest. But if your current fitness level would more comparable to a sloth's, you might be setting yourself up for failure. If your goals aren't attainable, they ain't gonna happen. Maybe it's simpler than marathons and mountains--a smaller dress size or going three flights of stairs without gasping.

Avatar f tn I've had insomnia issues for a while now so nights are dreaded. I can usually fall asleep just fine but will wake up after a few hours and just not be able to go back to sleep and then when I finally do its not restful sleep, I just toss and turn until my husband leaves for work. So then I end up sleeping pretty much the whole day away and I don't feel productive at all.
Avatar n tn Hello, I've had labyrithitis for the past five weeks. The dizziness has been pretty mild but I've had very poor hearing in my right ear and tinnitus on-and-off. My question is: am I OK to wear headphones at the gym? I really want to go later but can't get through a workout without some music to keep me entertained. What about if I keep the volume quite low?
Avatar m tn Do you have hobbies? I'm just now diving into what I love to do. Run? I like to workout when craving or loud music. I also like to write when I'm craving if not on her atleast in a journal just a distraction. I'm not sure about meetings, I'm going to my first on Tues. I hope you find something that works.
797340 tn?1240507697 I have been doing cardio rehab for 4 years. I listen to my own music(ipod) because I usually don't like the music the rehab management offers. My ipod includes music from U2, Beatles, Stones, CCR, Eagles, Mellencamp, Van Morrison and other great rock artists. However, I will often switch to the wonderful voice of Anita Baker or the awesome flute played by Puerto Rican jazz artist Nestor Torres. Lately I have been focusing on the incredible melodies of the Japanese jazz pianist Keiko Matsui.

Avatar f tn workout to up beat happy music so u will be relaxed n look forward to it!
435139 tn?1255460391 i might use it without the music because what happened with the twins was their mother always pushed the music on when she would lie them down since they were first born and then everytime the music would go off they would wake up...so during naps a lot of times you'll have to sneak back in their room and push the button so they dont wake up LOL and im not sure i want to be up and down that often...

Avatar f tn The one I bought had suggestions of what workouts to do with your baby wrapped on you. There are many workout options for mothers. Maybe you can do video workouts when your baby is sleeping. About baby workouts, all I do with my 6 month old is make sure she is active. I have a walker for her so I place her in it for a while. She walks around a lot in it. I also put her on the floor where she rolls everywhere.

Which there are a few different ones, about 20 minutes each. there's also Core Rhythms, which is your Zumba type dance. And they have the FULL workout (38 minutes) right on youtube....For free! I have a laptop so i can put it on a shelf on my entertainment center in the living room and Poof! Instant private aerobic dance class. Plus you don't have to buy tons of dvds.
