Common Questions and Answers about Workout music bpm

workout

Avatar m tn This is probably a question best answered by your doctor. There are other factors that enter into an answer, such as age, conditioning etc. That being said, I found when taking the type of drugs you are taking that I had difficulty getting my heart rate above 110 bpm. I used what rehab workers called 'perception of difficulty'. Basically, I worked out until I felt a degree of fatigue that was uncomfortable, and backed off a bit.
Avatar m tn ve read lots of info that says exercise can trigger an AFib attack, but in my case, I can actually terminate an attack with a short but vigorous aerobic activity (20 min stairclimber typically). Following the workout, I sit down and wait for the conversion which almost always comes in the next 15 minutes.
Avatar m tn For the vast majority of my runs I experience tachycardia in the range of 240 bpm to 250 bpm. I am 31 years old and should have a maximum HR of ~185. My resting HR is 45 bpm. Some background: Run 1: 5 miles, Max HR 247, Average HR 208, 34F, pace 7:54. Run 2: 3.7 miles, MAX HR 253, Average HR 200 (it leveled off at 160 BPM after I stopped at the 2.5 mile point) 45F Run 3: 5 miles, Max HR 210, Average HR 165, leveled off at 165 during first six minutes, without me having to stop. 37F.
Avatar m tn Is a 200bpm heart rate during a workout dangerous for a sixteen year old drummer, student, writer and many more from Sydney (Yours Truly?) Furthermore, how common is it statistically to have a heart attack due to a thromboembolism save everything else? Hamed Khatiz.
Avatar f tn I bought a heart rate monitor in January and noticed my heart rate when sitting tends to be around 44 bpm. When walking around it is around 55 bpm. When I exercise I can get it up to around 165, but when I lie down it often drops to between 36 and 39 bpm. During the past few months I have had no symptoms. For the past week and a half I have been extremely tired and weak. I have only missed one workout because of my fatigue but today it was very hard to get through it.
Avatar n tn My maximal after running is around 170 bpm and it reduces rapidly to 100 bpm when I stop, where it stays constant. It takes several hours to return to my resting rate of 60 bpm and may not return to normal until the following day. Should I be concerned as I have read that poor recovery rate is linked to mortality.
1088397 tn?1256777349 I frequently check it and it is usually between 140-180 BPM. This is when I am resting..I have yet to check it when I have been active. Is this normal? Or should I be concerned?
Avatar m tn Music was and still is my savior! Glad to see you moving forward with a positive attitude!
Avatar m tn My HR after my intense, but brief 20 min workout was 100 bpm. This was taken a good 20-30 min since I worked out. Seemed high. My normal, resting HR is 50 ish. I never check my HR after my workout but happened to take my BP and on the BP monitor it also reads your HR. Maybe it's always this high after my workouts? How long does it take to get back to your resting HR after a workout? As I type this, it's down to 75. So it seems to be getting there.
483733 tn?1326798446 s why the 5 mile walk is nice because you have the option to do the workout with just the music and no instruction (she must have gotten a few "suggestions" after a few of her dvds lol)
Avatar f tn Within in 1 minute post exercise your heart rate should be down to 150 bpm or less. At 5 minutes post workout you should be 120 bpm or less. If you are not at these levels, decrease the intensity of your workout and then gradually increase as your fitness level improves. You can determine if you're fitness level is improving by monitoring how quickly you return to resting heart rate after a workout.
Avatar n tn PALPITATIONS I used to work out a few days a week for 30 - 45 minutes at a stretch with an elevated HR of 130 - 170 bpm, can I safely return to this routine? What triggered the holter requirement was an episode I had after a very intense 45 minute work out where my heart rate stayed elevated for about 20 minutes, I called 911 after 10 minutes and went into ER. I was released after blood work and ekg were normal.
Avatar f tn Me, I like taking bubble baths, reading a book, drinking a hot beverage, writing, listening to music, talking with my husband, hanging out with my friends, etc :)
Avatar f tn my pulse is 160 bpm n im laying in bed, does this mean im pregnant? i have taken HPT'S and they say neg. my LMP was Jan 23rd..Help please!!
Avatar f tn I am 30 years old, consider myself in good shape, and workout regularly. For the last two years I have had a strange feeling, which I can only describe as possible palpitations. It was the worst when I had originally felt and noticed it. The feeling comes and goes, where I didn't feel it for months and when it comes back it can happen 100 times in an hour. I feel like it is an impulse that starts in my chest and ends in my throat where it is the most noticeable.
Avatar m tn This past weekend I did a relay run and my heart rate monitor recorded my heart rate going to 226bpm then dropped to 30 bpm then averaged out to about 60-70 bpm during a extreme hill run during a race. When this happens the first 5 minutes I get tired but when I push through it after the first few minutes, all of the sudden it seems like I am not even tired and I can run forever. I have noticed it a few times while running and alot on the elliptical. Has anyone seen anything like this?
7941162 tn?1395603116 Someone once told me music is 350mg of painkiller, and it’s true. The music takes your mind off the achy legs, the tightening of your chest, the anxiety you feel for the pills. Look, you want the withdrawal symptoms to go away faster? Well it isn’t going to happen, unless you get out of the bed, off the chat rooms and sweat it out. Go to the gym, park, anywhere you can get a good workout and sweat. These toxins we have all put into our bodies need to come out.
Avatar f tn You can stay motivated! Be realistic. You may dream of running the Boston Marathon or climbing Mount Everest. But if your current fitness level would more comparable to a sloth's, you might be setting yourself up for failure. If your goals aren't attainable, they ain't gonna happen. Maybe it's simpler than marathons and mountains--a smaller dress size or going three flights of stairs without gasping.

Avatar m tn Yesterday I tried doing a fairly low cardio workout, I was just doing leg presses, hamstrings, calfs, etc. All with a couple minute break inbetween and no cardio at all. On my second set of machine squats (about 5 mins into workout), I felt dizzy, my heart felt like it was gonna rip out of my chest and I had tunnel vision. I sat down and checked my pulse, it was around 185. I then went to the BP machine after I felt better and my vitals were 90/70 and HR at 130.
Avatar m tn I'm 26 y/o 135lbs and I wear contacts. I clean solution daily. I work out on my stationary bike for 120 minutes at a speed of 8mph-11mph. It doesn't seem like a hard exercise and my heart rate only goes up to 110 bpm when I'm over 10mph and around 85-90 at less then 10mph. After my exercise I have red eyes or bloodshot eyes. It's really just my right eye. It's hardly noticeable in my left eye. Here is a picture of my right eye. http://www.tripandglide.net/bloodshot.
Avatar n tn Hello, I've had labyrithitis for the past five weeks. The dizziness has been pretty mild but I've had very poor hearing in my right ear and tinnitus on-and-off. My question is: am I OK to wear headphones at the gym? I really want to go later but can't get through a workout without some music to keep me entertained. What about if I keep the volume quite low?
Avatar n tn hi i have the same problem my resting heart rate is 48 bpm and my max is 204bpm i am 19 years old andi can keep my heart rate between 185bpm to max for 3 hours of hard exercise i am unsure if this is bad or a good thing
Avatar m tn Do you have hobbies? I'm just now diving into what I love to do. Run? I like to workout when craving or loud music. I also like to write when I'm craving if not on her atleast in a journal just a distraction. I'm not sure about meetings, I'm going to my first on Tues. I hope you find something that works.
Avatar m tn However, if I lift weights for 40 mins or so, I feel OK during the workout, but get a really tight pressure in my chest later in the day and my oxygen saturation seems to drop in the evening. Interestingly, my heart rate is much higher when boxing (170-180bpm) as opposed to weight lifting (120-140 bpm). I am also extremely focused on proper breathing when weightlifting to avoid really high blood pressure.
Avatar m tn Eating very unhealthy foods and drinking to much alcohol. My question is when I get home form working out. My resting heart rate is 92 bpm. Should I be concerned ? Will this improve ?
