797340 tn?1240507697 I have been doing cardio rehab for 4 years. I listen to my own music(ipod) because I usually don't like the music the rehab management offers. My ipod includes music from U2, Beatles, Stones, CCR, Eagles, Mellencamp, Van Morrison and other great rock artists. However, I will often switch to the wonderful voice of Anita Baker or the awesome flute played by Puerto Rican jazz artist Nestor Torres. Lately I have been focusing on the incredible melodies of the Japanese jazz pianist Keiko Matsui.

454863 tn?1208306979 And for the first time, I actually dont want to be a rock star. Its weird, music has always been my outlet, but now it sometimes turns bad. I dont know, has anyone else ever dealt with this?
Avatar m tn I deeply encourage people, even those not into rock to listen to this. Simply go to Youtube.com and search the songs I named and even watch the videos. It helps me so much and like this site, lets me know that theyre are others going through the same thing. I MEAN IT!!! Check em out, you'll be impressed. If you really like the music than search "Behind the Pain" which is a documentary in 4 parts, which you can view all, that talk about his struggle with drugs.
884770 tn?1244472251 I though maybe it would be nice if all those who had music help them through the w/d period and after that maybe sharing songs with those of us who are in need of something, anything....may help. I'm working on a few that have got me to day two...Its a start, right?
Avatar f tn There is NO way I can narrow this down to one choice!!! LOL I have a very wide range of music that I love listening to-from heavy rock like Panterra, disco-Blondie, and classical Mozart. I'm not a huge fan of country music-I will admit to liking a few songs, like Carrie Underwood's-Before He Cheats (title????).
Avatar f tn I use shoutcast and listen to mother nature sounds or meditation music for the relaxing propperties
1156346 tn?1294166094 What is it about music that can really move you. Has anyone heard of Kid Rock? Ever hear his song "Roll On" Oh my gosh does that song move me. I swear that song is just like my life with the addiction as he sings it. He grew up not to far from me less than an hour drive. I know all to well what he went thru growing up in Michigan. I want to know what are some favorite songs that have moved everybody else.
15290316 tn?1447023108 Look, us addicts are excellent clock-watchers. So I spent the first parts of my 200mg/day Oxycontin cold turkey WD taking the OTC remedies and supplements while watching the clock just waiting for something to take the misery away. Sure, I had read the advice to keep busy. I tried watching TV, but I couldn't focus on anything. Late in day 2, I finally decided to take a hot bath. I had read to do it, but I thought I felt too awful. SERIOUSLY. Do it!!!! Better yet, live in that tub.
1536705 tn?1324329047 Im just wondering if playing music to your bump benefits or relaxes baby at all? Ive heard playing classical music has a calming effect on the baby....we've started playing music to our bump, some classical but others our some nursery ryhmes and songs we enjoy...has anybody ever experienced or heard of stories of the benefits?
Avatar f tn My husband and I took our 5 boys to play basketball, run track, and climb the rock wall. As for me I took a wonderful hot shower, sat in the lounge, watched TV and tried to style my new hair cut. That was enough workout for me. I had a good time, and I really needed it. One of these days I may even attempt a more traditional workout.
