observation if another biopsy done in 04/09 shows increase in positive cores to 3 or more or if any one core shows 50%+ positive for cancer? Also, is there any current opinion regarding use of Avodart or Proscar while in Watchful Waiting mode? I understand there would be a likely reduction in PSA, but that new PSA baseline be established and return to monitoring of PSA velocity. Not sure what, if any, benefit this would provide.
I had quite severe BHP and taking proscar and cardura. Had always difficulty urinating. I tried saw palmetto and it made me unable to urinate at all. I had to go to hospital.
Can you get a second opinion? lol I know you think this is a hair that is stuck but what if it is an actual hair follicle that is infected? It's really probably best if you get it looked at I'm sorry to say. You don't want to be digging at the area that is already inflamed and painful.

Nobody knows what a cyst will do unfortunately or how much it will grow. Doctors usually use 5 cm as the starting point for recommending surgery and do not think about it when they are smaller, so finding it earlier when it was smaller does not do much but lead to a lot of annoying follow up exams to re-check it.

I have noticed each Dr doing surgery for Chiari approaches it differently too....so talk with your Dr to see how he wants to deal with it.

I'm 24 and used to be an outgoing, energetic and happy person. My wife now says to me, "You aren't the same person I married!".
