Which is better uroxatral or flomax

Common Questions and Answers about Which is better uroxatral or flomax

uroxatral

Avatar n tn I have been experiencing retrograde ejaculation from taking Flomax and Uroxatral for several years. Will normal ejaculation return if I stop the medication? How long will it take?
Avatar n tn I can't use Flomax or other alpha blockers due to side effects -- disturbed sleep. Uroxatral even caused me to sleepwalk 15 feet from a nap on the sofa one evening, waking when I fell flat on my face in the next room! Separately, due to a Vitamin D deficiency my doc found, he put me on 50,000 units Vitamin D per week for 8 weeks, followed by biweekly doses. And guess what...the Vitamin D almost instantly "cured" the BPH.
Avatar n tn Now that your bladder has recompensated, you might actually be able to empty using an alpha blocker such as Uroxatral or Flomax, but I would not recommend doing that in the long term as you are skating on the edge of decompensating again. I would recommend that you have a prostatectomy and then be followed for adequacy of emptying and urinary tract infections.
Avatar m tn My blood pressure is normal, cholesterol is normal, no diabetes, I am not overweight, no drugs, no alcohol and no psychological conditions. I asked my urologist if there is anything else we could try and he told me that I will have to live with it. That made me a little angry. I am not so easily deterred. I am considering another urologist. On top of everything else, the prostatitis symptoms are coing back. Difficulty urinating and lower back pain.
Avatar m tn I have been using finesteride instead of flomax for the last 4 month.
Avatar n tn Which of these Rx medications is effective for increasing urine flow, but less interfering with normal ejaculation: Uroxatral or Silodosin?
1580703 tn?1651904887 if you google Flomax forum there's a discus thrower who reported loss of strength on it. my left eye which was going blind from bell's is now weaker.
Avatar n tn My question is really about my father; he is 78 years old in general good health. He takes 5 mg blood pressure med and he takes Flomax daily. When he first started taking Flomax; which he needs to be able to urinate or as he says to keep his plumbing working, anyway, he would have dizzy spells. His doctor said this was normal, a side effect of Flomax. But now lately he has been passing out; I think that is unusual for any medication and I'm worried there may be something else going on.
Avatar m tn Hi, Thanks for writing in. Prostatitis is usually not a side effect of use of flomax, indeed it can happen due to BPH, for which flomax is used as treatment. It would be better to get prostrate examination done by a urologist and take opinion for surgery for resolving these symptoms. Choice of antibiotics depends upon the kind of organism affecting the prostrate. Best.
Avatar m tn I am currently taking uroxatral and avodart daily, and am curious as to why I am still having symptoms. Is it possible of being overmedicated? Or is there something that has been missed? If so what other possibilities are there?

Avatar f tn I always wanted to know which is better breastfeeding or formula I trade breastfeeding with my last so when he was born but it was uncomfortable and I felt like I was going to suffocate him but with this pregnancy I want to try doing the whole breastfeeding but I guess I'm just nervous and scared cuz I don't want my breast to suffocate the baby but then when you also breastfeed does that mean you have to give up coffee or anything with caffeine
Avatar n tn Your body is made to give birth to any baby. It is very extremely rare when the baby is too big and your weight gain doesn't have anything to do with the baby's size sometimes. Think about long term before you jump to conclusions because if you ever want a vaginal birth after your c section it may be harder because it's a vbac. And like stated above unless it's medically necessary you're going to have a hard time finding a doctor who will do an elective one.
Avatar f tn I'm considering water birthing, or a C-Section. Which is better? I'm scared of needles and surgery and stuff, but I almost bled to death with my first child (I was only 13) and he was all natural in a hospital. I'm wondering which would you recommend?
Avatar m tn I did not associate it with flomax until recently. Is it harmful if I stop taking the flomax and is this the cause of my retro? This discussion is related to Retrograde Ejaculation from Flomax......permanent or not?.
