Avatar n tn My husband has been prescibed the the 9.5 exelon patch but we still have a supply of the 4.6 patches. With them being so expensive can I use two of the 4.6 patches at the same time until we run out?
Avatar n tn She has since tested negative for H Pylori, and has been taken off Razadyne(24 mg ) for memory problems, put on Exelon (6mg patch), then taken off it after two weeks and more nausea. She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Still puzzling and frustrating. doctors are stumped (still) and I am feeling worthless because I cannot help her kick the nausea or find the cause. Really looking for help here. Any will be gratefully accepted.

She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Recently, she started back on the lower dose of Razadyne. Her neurologist doesn't think the medicine is the cause of the nausea, though it could be aggrivating whatever is causing it.
Avatar f tn Mother had been experiencing dreams, nightmares really centering on the things she fears the most - abandoment, loss of control of her money, being pushed down the stairs, etc. These dreams were very real to her and she would then argue with her husband about why he said he wanted to do these things to her. He, of course, knew nothing of these "conversations and situations" she thought were so real.

Avatar f tn Then whatever they say something is going on and you need to seek more answers for him, ask for another opinion, ,as he has had a diagnosis of early Alzheimers maybe this is part of it, there is a new med coming up called Rember', it should help a lot of people Google it to get the latest information, it is on the 3rd year of Trials , hopefully be on the market in a couple and passed by the FDA ..
Avatar f tn I actually had to use percs to taper from the patch and then taper the percs. The patch is a really strong med...really strong. Please do your research before traveling down that path.

Avatar f tn Hi Was wondering if you can help me, my grandfather has developed a rash he has had it on and off for the past year and a half now, it started as a small patch on his face and has gradually progressed to all over his face back and head, it is big and red and very itchy he says its like his skin is crawling, he has been to the drs and seen a specialist who still cannot explain what it is, his skin has seem to have gone really hard and sort of leathery where the rash is, its driving him mad and h
Avatar f tn I blindly went along with my doctor prescribing the Fentanyl patch along with other meds for BT pain. I realized the Fentanyl had a lot of negative things for me (like increase in sugar intake, nodding off when I stopped doing anything, no short term memory.) Do a search on Fentanyl here and see what people have gone through with it. Personally I think it should only be used for end of life pain. If you have reason to think you won't ever come off it, then it would be okay.
Avatar f tn no his rash like patch is not in the diaper area, its on his forehead and nose. just that one little blister looking bump was on his penis.
Avatar f tn Butrans is new to the US market this year. The active ingredient is buprenorphrine which is also used to detox addicts off opiates under the brand names Subutex and Suboxone. Suboxone contains an additional ingredient that blocks most of the effects of additional opiates making it a poor choice for pain management since breakthrough meds won't work. Bupe is a very strong, synthetic partial-agonist opiod.
Avatar f tn This seems to be my answer for why things had not healed as they should have! What do you have for a patch? MY head did not stop leaking until they removed ALL of the synthetic patch and used my own tissue! Good luck!
Avatar f tn Hello, All your symptoms are the side effects of the birth control ortho evra patch. The Ortho Evra birth control patch releases a high amount of estrogen into the bloodstream—60% more than from birth control pills—which is known to increase the risk for blood clots. These blood clots occlude the blood vessels as thrombi and if they get dislodged and occlude the blood vessels at some other site, they are called emboli.
Avatar f tn Enough of the old patch was not removed and because of continued leaks I had to have a forth surgery for my head and he made sure to get out all of the synthetic patch and then used my tissue and sealed it really really well. My head only healed right once I had my own tissue. I did not know I had EDS or POTS before all of this and it was a 3+ year process with a lot of surgeries ( I also had shunt surgery to try and reduce spinal fluid pressure so that my patch could heal).
Avatar f tn When you can't sleep from the withdrawals, I've been told that Trazadone is a good choice for sleep because it isn't a controlled substance, etc. What is the story with this medication?
Avatar f tn re feeling often end up overmedicated, which leads to accumulating side effects that are hard to distinguish from the effects of the illness. It is odd that Paxil, for example, would be prescribed to somebody who isn't extremely articulate about what they're experiencing, since it is a very difficult and very strong medication with many possible side effects and is very difficult to stop taking without significant withdrawal.
