Avatar n tn Exelon patch is on back order from the manufacturer until October 24. What alternatives are there?
Avatar n tn My husband has been prescibed the the 9.5 exelon patch but we still have a supply of the 4.6 patches. With them being so expensive can I use two of the 4.6 patches at the same time until we run out?
Avatar n tn She has since tested negative for H Pylori, and has been taken off Razadyne(24 mg ) for memory problems, put on Exelon (6mg patch), then taken off it after two weeks and more nausea. She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Still puzzling and frustrating. doctors are stumped (still) and I am feeling worthless because I cannot help her kick the nausea or find the cause. Really looking for help here. Any will be gratefully accepted.
Avatar f tn t calming her down any, and she did not refil the prescription. 2 months later she had another bad dream and the doctor was notified. He then prescribed exelon. My question: If she does not have Alzheimer's disease, why would he prescribe either of these medicines for her? If this is dimentia, aren't there other drugs out there for that or even drugs that have a claming effect? From what I have read about excelon, I am not sure if it is compatible with her heart medication.

She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Recently, she started back on the lower dose of Razadyne. Her neurologist doesn't think the medicine is the cause of the nausea, though it could be aggrivating whatever is causing it.

1386676 tn?1280247305 I just find the pain releif from the patches is pathetic about 3 out of 10 considering the nhs pay 15 uk pounds for each 75mcg patch !!! for about the same price £16.50 they cud issue me with 150 10mg I/R morphine tablets every 3 days ffs!!! Not that i wuould ask for that much its just for price comparrison !!! very exspensive way of drug dilivery the patch is in my opinion considering atleast the last 50% of the drug WILL NOT be released from the patch transdermally !!!
Avatar m tn can i combine 225mg. of effexor xr with exelon or dexamphetamine to help my sedated or lethargic condition?
Avatar n tn It would be helpful if the Exelon Patch advertisers didn't feel it was necessary to have their information on continual scroll. There is a reason why I don't read rolling credits at the end of a movie, too. They usually roll too fast to read and simply hurt my head and can trigger migraines. Most of the time I don't see rolling adds, but when I do, I'm put off. Uh...I did not search for anything that would have had anything to do with this particular advertiser.
Avatar f tn I feel at such a loss in trying to help my Mother. I've gone back to Neurologist and am awaiting his advise, but he doesn't appear to be emphathetic to this issue. Her GP defers to the neurologist. My 81 yr old Mother in middle to late stage Alzheimer's. She is not on any anti-anxiety med except for Paxil which was prescribed about a month ago. She gets aggitated during the day at times and especially sundowners time.
Avatar f tn I am not aware as I have searched and searched and searched for other options for the patch at a cheaper price but I am looking now again just in case. Just wanted to provide this to you so you could take a look at it and see if it is a viable option for you or not. __________________________________________________________ Zyban also referred to as Wellbutrin, is a prescription medication and you need to consult a physician before taking it.
Avatar f tn HOWEVER those with EDS tend to reject the patch if it is not our own tissue and by rejecting the patch our bodies can over produce CSF in an effort to flush the foreign body out OR we spring a leak.....
82861 tn?1333453911 One of the most common questions that pops up here is from people who have difficulty keeping the fentanyl patch in place. Lost and ruined patches can be a terrible problem for both the patient and the doctor. We all know early refills of any pain medication are problematic no matter what the reason. I have used the Nexcare brand bandages for years as covers for the fentanyl patch. They were the only bandages that kept the patch in place for the full 3 days.
Avatar n tn Never had a problem until now. He started with temp memory loss and the doctor put him on 2 Exelon Patches per day to help him with the memory loss and also he now on Oxcarbazepine 300 mg. My question is with him taking these two type of medications he is still having seizure and cant sleep. Me as a mother do know what to think and do to help him. Can someone help me with this.
645390 tn?1338555377 Do you think that maybe she misunderstood you? I'm on Copaxone and it cost about the same price. My copay is $15.00/month, my insurance covers the rest. I would call your insurance company and ask them how much it will be. If your insurance doesn't deal with shared solutions try calling Pression RX.
Avatar f tn hi im a senior beauty therapist with years experience doing spray tanning its totally fine to use fake tan/spray tan but make sure the room well ventilated also i would ask for patch test first as the change in hormones can make the tan come out orange or patchy or not take at all im using a gradual tanner and its nice :)
Avatar f tn my dr prescribed it for me in a patch, but it cost $150.00 for a months supply, and i just can't afford it. if you have good prescription insurance, you might ask your dr for that.
Avatar f tn Or, go there on a day that you are taking your meds still and have them watch you take the Percocet and they should have been able to see the patch you had on that day...and then sit there wait for the test to be done if it's in an in house one... I would have still insisted on seeing your PM as they could have discounted your price for the appt. to see them that day.. Without insurance, how are you going to pay for your medications???
Avatar m tn Is there a muscle relaxant patch (I'm thinking like a flexeril patch, etc.) If not, is there a muscle relaxant cream.
Avatar f tn I'm not sure what to tell ya about the post-pregnancy belly as it's the price most women pay to have beautiful babies. BUT! The hair loss is actually from having your child. When you got pregnant you may have noticed your belly, arms, legs, even the hair on your head got thicker and fuller. It actually isn't getting either of those. When you're pregnant your body tells your hair to stay put. It usually goes through a grow/shed cycle, and this slows or stops when pregnant.
Avatar n tn t change the patch exactly on time he has withdrawls (chills, cramps, nausa ect) He hates feeling like he is so dependant on the patch. They also just raised the price from $7 dollars a month to $95 which will be a serious financial problem. I told him we will make it work but he feels there are a lot of reasons to get off the patch.
Avatar f tn So sorry to hear about your sleep problems. I discovered that I sleep so much better on a plain old blow-up camping bed. The one I use is the store brand sold at Wal-Mart. The single costs about $11.00 and the electric pump cost $25.00. Since I sweat like crazy when I sleep, I had to double up on the quilted mattress covers. I blow it up to a comfortable firmness ( about 7 on an 1-to-10 scale) and I usually sleep comfortably.
