280234 tn?1532986249 I was wondering if any other young adults have been diagnosed with colon polyps? I'm a 34/f who was recently diagnosed with a 1.1 cm "Tubulovillous adenoma" during a colonoscopy (was seeing blood/mucous in stool for about 6 months). The lab report came back that it was benign, and my GI doctor said follow up with him in 3 years. From what my GI doctor told me, and what I've read about these, they are considered precancerous. Following up in 3 years makes me nervous.

Avatar f tn How old is your son? Are these baby teeth or adult teeth? I wouldn't pull any adult teeth unless absolutely necessary. Yes, the wisdom teeth could potentially fill in that space but there are complications with that. As the wisdom teeth come in, they don't move sideways into the space but rather, they tilt in and lean in sideways which causes problems with the jaw bone.
Avatar f tn You start feeling nausea and often accompanied by vomiting early in the pregnancy ...
Avatar m tn The condition is studied and described in two clinical forms. The first (the rarer among the two), occurs in children and young adults presenting with severe anaemia, with superficial involvement limited to the mucosa and a nodular pattern. The second occurs in adults with symptoms of chronic inflammation and motility issues. Management is similar in both cases consisting of anti-inflammatory/ immune suppressive therapy and prognosis is variable.
Avatar m tn Our (Type 1) juvenile diabetic 25 year old athletic marathon running/bike riding daughter with good sugar and cholestrol levels most of her life had a massive heart attack recently. Has anyone studied the effects of "insulin" in young adults to see if there is any correlation between insulin and heart attacks in young adults?
Avatar n tn I have read various articles on the internet since then and all of them talk about high blood pressure in young adults occurring due to bad diet, lack of exercise etc which does not fit. Also articles saying that blood pressure medicine not likely to be efffective on young adults. How serious is this situation and what should he do?
Avatar f tn (posting about this on the forum was like me posting about shingles on above my hip) No one could guess that because my age. (shocker it can occur in young adults too), and nobdy could make it go away either. I had to wait for 4+ hours at a free clinic but it was worth getting the right meds. As quoted from that article I linked: "When to see your doctor Consult your doctor immediately if you notice blood in your vomit or begin vomiting blood.
Avatar f tn I’ve read before that low grade lymphomas are common in young adults but then also read that low grade cancer s in young people are incredibly rare at the same time so I’m a bit confused by that. As you know I’ve had swollen nodes for well over a year now (nearing a year and a half) and I’m just concerned about low grade lymphomas. According to this article ; https://www.aafp.org/afp/2002/1201/p2103.
1284078 tn?1271587111 My doctor is now going to refer me back to my old renal consultant as they just dont know what to do with me, as you know it is unusual in adults and frankly i think i am probably the only person they have ever seen with it (i live on a small island so thats not that far fetched) What gets me is that i have had a few years without any problems and i guess i got my hopes up that it was finally over. It is nice to know that i am not the only one out there going through this.
Avatar n tn If the endoscopy, including examination of your daughter’s stomach, was clear, it is highly unlikely that her upper intestinal tract is the source of the mucous. A rarely occurring exception, in children and adults, is a condition called Eosinophilic Esophagitis, in which the esophagus can appear grossly normal on endoscopy. This condition is usually accompanied by swallowing difficulty and not just vomiting.
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm 21 years old, male at around 65 kgs. My girlfriend is of the age (more on this later) I just have a few questions regarding pneumonia, and how easily (or difficult) it is transmitted in healthy young adults. Context: My girlfriend's aunt recently got hospitalized due to pneumonia, and my girlfriend has been taking care of her for about 3 days now. Now this may sound stupid and selfish, but my concern is her and me catching pneumonia too.
Avatar f tn Check out the book Breaking the Vicious Cycle...it helps tremendously...from there you can branch out...I used this 12 years ago...now I run Marathons with no meds...there are a lot of things I have learned about managing this disease with diet along the way...but now I eat almost anything I want...and supplement with various natural things such as Omega 3, Food based probiotic vitamins, etc...
Avatar n tn No, hepc in an equal opportunity virus. It is transmitted from blood to blood contact. The number one mode of transmission is IV Drug use so most children are not exposed to that. Blood transfusion was another common form of transmission, however, all blood is now screened for for hep b & c. I won't say they catch 100% of infected blood but it's pretty close to that. In my opinion, children are less likely to be exposed to hepc. There is a very small (5%?
Avatar n tn I don't know anything specifically about pediatric migraines and I'm not a doctor... but, I have heard of adults who get migraines that usually will occur in the middle of the night or first thing in the morning, migraines that wake them up. I have heard people refer to these as "alarm clock" headaches... I have read of adults who will get them at around the exact same time in the early morning, hence the "alarm clock headache" name.
Avatar f tn I have a young 1 year old male cat named Mocha. He was neutered a week ago today but he just started vomiting. He still has a light appetite but he's been like that ever since we've had him. He has acted normal ever since the surgery. he's even been more energetic since then, but today he has been very drowsy, laid back, and sick... Is this normal?
Avatar m tn Why is there such a large deviation or difference of opinion in different doctors on whether or not amblyopia can or cannot be treated in adults? Is it still because studies such as those conducted by McGill University (tetris) are relatively new?
1093351 tn?1317810854 Fluctuations of calcium is a red flag.
