I know a couple of other people who have gout with no rise in uric acid. So yes, it probably is best to just go ahead and get treated if your doctor agrees. I assume you've probably already been to the doctor by now. Hope it's cleared up. That pain can be brutal!

It was the FDA that stepped in to see if the drug was safe and was instrumental in getting better study results and getting the drug off the market. It was the FDA that issued a Warning Letter to the manufacturer of Vioxx, telling the company to stop certain marketing practices due to "false, lacking in fair balance, or otherwise misleading" claims which violated the Federal Food, Drugs and Cosmetic Act. That is the role of the FDA.

I was given vioxx years ago, read the warnings about heart attacks and such, and threw them all in the trash! Not much later it was pulled from the market. I am BP1, but have hit clinical depression. I think they put me on a AD because of this and I'm pregnant and they don't want to put me on too high of a dose of Lamictal. Lamictal, I've been on it on and off for a couple yrs. It never really helped much with depression for me. So maybe all I needed all along was a AD. I've taken as high of a dose as 400mg of lamictal when not pregnant. It helps with the mania for short periods of time, but then I always have to up my dose.

Paxil should be taken off the market no question!!! I don't agree with the answer you got from the doctor at all. I weened off paxil over a years time and am now on day 49 paxil free. Not realizing the strange things that have happened to me over the past year was from the paxil withdrawal I didn't really investigate on line until I completely stopped on January 21, 2008 and by February 12, 2008 the proverbial s## hit the fan.
there are a lot of people that pay big bucks to getoff methadone in a softer ez way ...I wish I new one as I have said many times b/4 its not so much the withdrawal that makes methadone so hard to get off of but the post withdrawal....this is not an ez drug to break free from you can use short acting opiates to get past the initial withdrawal but its the next few months that they will not help with.....

A valve was damaged, also one chanber of my heart.
My problem is that I wasn't diagnosed as a "heart attack", but rather a "pulmonary embolism", and the lawyers representing me in my vioxx lawsuit say it has to be a heart attack, not a PE.
Isn't a heart attack part of a PE? Rather, did I suffer a heart attack as well as a pulmonary embolism?

There must be a very good reason for your oncologist to have taken you off Tamoxifen, the side effects depend much on each person some don't ever get a side effect and others can not even walk or move without horrible pain.
Your breast cancer was a grade 1, right breast, hormone sensitive and apparently a lymph node involvement, my cancer was the same but no lymph node involvement.
Ultram was bad news for me after Darvocet was taken off the market. It is not a narcotic pain reliever but if you take a SSRI antidepressant it can cause a horrible reaction called seratonin syndrome. Will our doctors and the powers that be ever smart up with what is being doled out and how much? With the age of computers and big Big Brother insurance companies watching every move it seems not.

If you are talking about the recall of certain lots of Tylenol PM gel caps, that recall was over a year ago. If the meds were purchased at a retail outlet those lots would have been removed from the shelves.

i have a list of the antihistimines, they all seem to say not to be used to enlarged prostate, (the saldane has been taken off US market due to serious/fatal side effects) including the saldane. Which ones would you say say are better for somone with enlarged prostate?
i only have dust allergy which effects my breathing/air passage swelling and it is relieved by antihistamines.
what would you suggest? can i use a type of inhaler?
