Can an STI be asymptomatic for 5 months then present as a frequent need to urinate then subsequent pain in my testicle? There is no urethra discharge, no pain when urinating, just the need to urinate and testicular pain. It doesn't make sense that I had a possible prostate problem and constant need to urinate followed by testicular pain and then a negative UTI test, it only makes me think that an STI is responsible?

I feel very healthy, no GI issues or problems at all, no bloating, no gas, no pain, but something certainly changed in the last 10 days. Taking Venlafaxine seems to be the cause of most people's problems. Anybody reading this forum have the white spec problem and does not take Venlafaxine?

Understand..sorry pain is bad stuff.... what are you doing about the pain, can you doctor prescribe something that will help?

Dear Andy, so you stopped this med. right? Does anyone know? I haven't looked up this med yet, you had trouble w side effects? Are you on other medication? NAMI has support groups.

She tells me that the lowest dose of XL is 75mg. She has put me on 37.5mg daily Venlafaxine. I tried this as 150mg dose, and it was not the same at all as Effexor. Is there any alternative. I know Venlafaxine, is supposed to be the same as Effexor, but I don't think it is - at least my body said it was different!! I am now wondering what the next step is for me. What is the difference between Effexor XL and Venlafaxine. How do I reduce from 37.5mg Venlafaxine?

I stopped taking Venlafaxine almost 1 year ago. My Pharmacist helped me with the "weaning" process, so things were okay for a while. I have been on 75 mg of Venlafaxine for about 2 years. I cut the dosage in half for about 2 weeks and them stopped altogether. Unfortunately I didn't do much research before discontinuing so I didn't really know what to expect. I have been experiencing nausea, stomach cramps, loss of appetite, some loss of bladder control, headache, weakness, sleepiness. It has now been about 4 days since I stopped taking the 35.7 mg dose. This is the first time I have posted a comment/question on here but I often come here to read posts. I was recently put on 150mg of Venlafaxine once daily in combination with 1mg Lorazepam as needed. I am responding quickly to the Venlafaxine ER and have only had a few bumps throughout the day that required half of the 1mg Lorazepam. My problem is sleeping? I'm so worried about the addictive qualities of Lorazepam that I am hesitant to take it to help me sleep.

Trust me, all the name brand antidepressant meds are just as expensive. The active ingredient in Effexor is Venlafaxine, which is avalible in a Generic, but it is not in the XR form. The XR is short for "extended release." Only the Effexor has this time release form of Venlafaxine delivery. I have found this time release form to be much more effective than the generic Venlafaxine which has no such delivery system.

I usually take Effexor (venlafaxine) tablets. When i picked up my prescription last time I was given Viepax instead of Effexor. Presumably these are a cheaper generic version but are the ingredients identical? Eloise.
