uroxatral

Avatar n tn I have been experiencing retrograde ejaculation from taking Flomax and Uroxatral for several years. Will normal ejaculation return if I stop the medication? How long will it take?
Avatar m tn I have had an ultrasound of the prostate which checked out fine and have been tested for chlamydia and gonorhea, which both came back negative. I am currently taking uroxatral and avodart daily, and am curious as to why I am still having symptoms. Is it possible of being overmedicated? Or is there something that has been missed? If so what other possibilities are there?
Avatar f tn There is another class of medications, such as Uroxatral, which can help shrink your prostate and improve your symptoms. the results of this class of medications, however, often take many weeks before they make a major differences. Ultimately, flomax and drugs like uroxatral can be combined to give maximal medical therapy for BPH. Sometimes men continue to have problems and may be candidates for surgical intervention to improve symptoms.

Avatar m tn Also, I am not in any pain at all during the day in any part of my body so that's why the problem is so strange because it's just the single symptom...
Avatar m tn I’ve been on Ciprofloxacin (antibiotic), followed by Sulfamethoxyzole (antibiotic) plus Naproxen (anti-inflammatory). Currently I’m on Uroxatral, to help relax my bladder muscles to ease emptying, and further aid my prostate healing. These medications may be helping, but to be thorough I also had ultrasounds of my bladder and testes and doppler (vascular study) of my penis.
Avatar m tn The dripping after urinating is something that often occurs as we get older and is not related to a urinary tract infections. You may have to wait a few seconds longer at the urinal or consider taking a medication such as Uroxatral for the rest of your life to try and control this. If you have had scrotal trauma to initiate this whole chain of events, then the issue may be strictly one of persistent inflammation, but then why did the antibiotic work at all? Talk further with your urologist. S.
Avatar m tn I have been on 40mg of celexa for the past 3 to 4 years. The doctor prescribed it to me because I was going through a depression and decided that I wanted to take this medication. I haven't seen this doctor nor am I able to since I am out of college, where I saw my doctor. 3 weeks ago I stopped taking it cold because I ran out. I didn't think anything of it since I was feeling fine. The past 3 days I have been feeling bad.
Avatar n tn I am still seeing a doc and will keep you up to date.
Avatar n tn Now that your bladder has recompensated, you might actually be able to empty using an alpha blocker such as Uroxatral or Flomax, but I would not recommend doing that in the long term as you are skating on the edge of decompensating again. I would recommend that you have a prostatectomy and then be followed for adequacy of emptying and urinary tract infections.

1255483 tn?1269348351 I tried to look it up on the internet but the best thing to do is to definitely ask your GYN before you try to get pregnant on any medication. I was taking kolanopins for anxiety and was told that there was no way that I would be able to take it while pregnant. They might be able to give you a different medication that is safe during pregnancy.
Avatar n tn I agree with your urologist that when patients have symptoms such as yours we often pursue them vigorously without any good result and then they spontaneously go away with a variable amount of time. If your discomfort is primarily external on the skin of your penis, it is unlikely that it is prostadynia or prostatitis. There is nothing in what you describe to suggest that his is herpes.
Avatar f tn hi before I got pregnant I was taking depkote and trazadone. my doctor said after my first trimester I could start taking my medication again because the baby's organs are fully formed. I'm still worried about taking the medication. does this sound right to you?
Avatar f tn not necessarily. my doc just had me find a vitamin that didng make me sick that had folic acid in it.
Avatar f tn Hope you find a peaceful place and work out if the medication is the best for you. Did you tell your doctor that you had stopped taking it before?
Avatar f tn I was on diclectin for my morning sickness and i stopped taking it when the morning sickness past and that was a few weeks ago im almost 14 weeks if i do feel really sick to my stomach tis sometimes when im going to bed ill take one
Avatar f tn t just unilaterally stop taking them. Tell your doctor what you are taking, and ask about the effects of each one on pregnancy. He or she will be able to advise you on what is dangerous and what is not, and will be able to prescribe alternatives if they exist. Don't do this on your own.
