Type 2 diabetes jokes

Common Questions and Answers about Type 2 diabetes jokes

Avatar n tn Most have absolutely no idea what type 1 diabetes is, for all of the media publicity is about type 2 diabetes, which has different causes and treatments. I find that most people are fascinated to learn that type 1 is an autoimmune disease, and that it is related to other autoimmune diseases like thyroid disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and Lupus.
Avatar m tn Hi, I am planning to marry a beautiful girl who has type 1 diabetes. I love her dearly and her diabetes does not change that. She was diagonosed when she was 3. She has to take Insulin injections every day twice. My question is that can we have kids in future and will there be any complications in future. I am willing to walk extra mile with her. I want to help her but she is very sensitive when it comes to diabetes. I can't think of loosing her because of any complications becuase of diabetes.
Avatar n tn Are we gonna make it like Rocky? Tingling 2 the Revenge? My suggestion on how to sleep....is already known! Ok, I don't want to transform all of you in a bunch of drug addicted, but have you tried a tranquillizer just once? Just to see whether your tingling diminishes the moment you calm down? @rnneeedshelp: as my "colleague" has written, you are anxious over the symptoms, not the opposite, and the same is for all of us.
Avatar n tn So, really even if a person DOES have pre-diabetes, there are at least 3 possible outcomes (1) remain in pre-diabetes while making lifestyle changes, (2) gradually develop Type 2, or possibly develop Type 1 (this is much less common). Folks who choose to work on lifestyle could end up with "non diabetic" numbers, tho' that doesn't necessarily mean they've eliminated the risks.
Avatar n tn It's funny my first search seemed to pop up many websites which looked like the websites just cut and pasted the same information. It wasn't too helpful other than me making jokes to myself about my reproductive system being in fashion"strand of pearls" (ovarian cysts). Then I ranted on myspace trying to bring awareness, and then I watched youtube videos. The youtube videos where helpful at that time because I felt that I was not alone.
1058524 tn?1285190840 He got a chuckle. Funny how doctors love to laugh at corny jokes. I have found myself getting lonely here, and there. One friend was kind enough to explain talking to me that I made them feel awkward. So they avoid me. *sigh* I've known my friend for many, many years...heck friends I have known since I was a child, seem so distant now. I'm not contagious! SHOUTING: "You can run, but you can't hide! Soon I will have my super powers, my cape, and I will find you friends!
Avatar n tn I like to take Readers Digest and read all the funny jokes and the adventure rescues. I'm doing the iced fresh brewed green tea with cranberry juice and a little sweetener of a few stevia drops. And sometimes a lemon wedge added. It's good. Yes and if you don't like cranberry juice, the pills are good. It's too bad that you can't go by the CA125 numbers. I knew a lady that had the same situation. They always treated her with disease showing up by Cat Scan.
Avatar f tn Research suggests that stiff person syndrome is also an autoimmune disorder, and people with the syndrome often have autoimmune disorders such as type 1 diabetes or thyroiditis. Stiff person syndrome affects both males and females and may begin at any age, although diagnosis during childhood is rare. It is not known exactly how many people suffer from it.
Avatar f tn Medically, she has struggled with anxiety 40+ years (monitored by a general physician) and has developed Type II diabetes and hypertension from poor diet and inactivity. My mom's sleep and eating patterns are erratic. She stays up until 5-7a in the morning before going to bed and will sleep during the day getting up at 2p or even as late as 4p. She will eat her breakfast, lunch and dinner over the course of 5 hours, sometimes less.
Avatar m tn I know for a fact that at earlier stages, they absolutely did. Type one diabetes is quite different. you have no choice if your body doesn't function properly. This does not mean I don't have compassion for those in the throes of addiction. I do. And it does get to the point that someone is physically addicted and 'just stopping' is very difficult. But it's a progressive disease and I will never believe that some didn't 'do it to themselves.
899531 tn?1241881150 Have they done any hormonal tests to determine the type of tumor it is? Just knowing the size is one thing, but er, some can be treated with medication first to reduce the size and the pain. Has this surgeon done more than 500 in a lifetime and 50 in a year? Has he a LOT of experience with macroadenomas? In the case of a tumor that you know that has invaded the optic chasm, I would suggest to anyone that I know to get the most experienced surgeon they can get and travel if need be.
Avatar n tn Like 65-70 minutes after drinking the drink instead of an hour? There are many members of my family with diabetes, should I be worried? Thanks!

458384 tn?1295724256 5 million with coronary heart disease, and 8 million with type 2 diabetes. Studies show the dangers of a sedentary life. One study compared inactive people with those who walked briskly almost every day. Researchers found that those who didn't walk took twice as many sick days in 4 months as those who walked. Over time, you should work up to the standard recommendation of five times a week for at least 30 minutes.

Avatar f tn Thought maybe genetics. I am 38, 5'0 and 110lbs and I also have type 2 diabetes which doesn't fit and i have a good diet.
Avatar n tn But would like to hear your thoughts on the diabetes thing. I will bring it up to my doc next time. My dad did have type II diabetes and I def have some components of the metabolic syndrome -- high cholesterol, high ldl, low hdl, high triglicerides, above normal bp. Oh, my doc will probably put me on Lipitor later this month. I could probably avoid it by going on a better diet and exercising more regularly but for whatever reason haven't had the discipline lately. Maybe that will come.
Avatar f tn I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis which is an autoimmune disease of the thyroid that causes hypothyroidism. I have type 2 diabetes. I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I am on medications for my Hashimoto's, diabetes, blood pressure and cholesterol. My numbers are all good and everything is within a healthy range and the doctor seems satisfied with my numbers and blood tests.
Avatar f tn Every few years they get worse and go away. Now they have stayed. Have had 3 MRI's 2 came out negative this last one is positive for demyelinating. Had a spinal tap came out negative. My Neuro DR said I should not worry and go one with my life. My question I have taken steriod shots in my spine before the spinal tap could it have caused the test to come out wrong? My memory and facial numbness, leg numbness, and arm numbness and walking troubles are driving my crazy!

Avatar n tn After reading more about it I learned that there is a type of Hypoglycemia that does not show up with lower glucose levels. I have tried for two days now to give her natural juices, or honey when her mood changes and aplle juice seemed to really help. Grape juice and honey did not have much effect. I am hopeful though that this is her problem, and not diabetes, or any other scary syndrome and that I will able to report good results.
Avatar n tn It was the 4 of us. So anyways i would appreciate any input from others going through this type of thing.
973741 tn?1342346373 20 and often are boarding a bus to the competition soon after. They eat lunch around 10:30 am (because they are at school so dang early, this is 4 hours into their school day)--- They get to the competition and have a brief time and then must perform athletically. We really struggle with this. I've packed a peanut butter sandwich, a turkey sandwich, found out beef jerky wasn't a good idea, nuts, etc.
1077548 tn?1263138267 As yourself, my mother passed away (July 19, 2007) from Congestive Heart Failure and diabetes and my family and I though she was going to make it. The doctors told us she was going to be fine and she died in my arms unable to breath. As yourself, my mom and I talked about death all the time. She was not afraid of death and I'm not afraid to die. She even made jokes, but I never wanted to accepted that my mother is gone! I will never, never be the same. I will never accept that my mom is dead.
Avatar n tn I got over it somewhat but in September, 2011, I became ill with the same type symptoms and my doctor did tests which confirmed reactivation of the EBV. Additionally, I have pneumonia and was hospitalized for a few days for that. While the pneumonia symptoms are some better, I am still battling the EBV symptoms.
Avatar n tn Just re-read my write - did forget to add Diabetes Type I (15 years now) and just had a bone marrow infusion on Friday (12th) to bring constantly low iron (level 5) to better levels; terrible, terrible cramping lately. Told that swollen liver outer arteries are rubbing against other organs, at times, causing them to rupture / bleed; hence blood loss adds to low iron levels. Hopefully i will at least have my bone marrow restart making iron. Thanks again for passing along what you've learned.
