Avatar n tn Left eye, as it had no stigmatism like the Rt. eye. Post-op, Large PV detachment, left peripheral problems, distorted vision in L.eye and sharp, knife like pain in the upper lid. Getting no satisfaction to my post-op problems, I saw a new MD who diagnosed the Large PVD. I was not crazy. The new eyeMD stated he saw this Large PVD another time and the man suffered 2 years before it finally settled to the bottom. He was a kind doctor. He also DX a stigmatism in the surgical eye.

Avatar f tn First time he had the wrong address and I was unaware that he was ridding me. Very nearsighted pre-op. Left eye done with right eye to follow, 2 weeks later. Told surgeon I still wanted to use my glasses but wanted to see clear to sew, clean the house, drive at night and read street signs and read to grandchildren. I had great faith in this doctor. I am worse off. Blurry vision, eye watering, large PVD's. etc. etc. He would not acknowledge these problems.
Avatar m tn I am experiencing the same problem. I am 8 days post op of prk surgery I dont have any discomfort but my vision is very blurry I can't drive or focus on anything.
Avatar f tn s Medhelp Forum. I was not given any information pre-op or post-op other than the lens information thus my call for your help now. Thank You.
Avatar n tn In fact, pressure was fine after the op, but a week later shot up above 30. Doctor said i am responsive to Tobradex. Changed to Cravit and Lotemax and Azarga, and 4 days later came down to 21. A further 2 weeks later which is now, still at 21? Is this alright? Told to continue with Azarga and review in 3 weeks. Interestingly, my left eye also measured 21 today. 2. Doctor also looked at mt left retina and said she found an old tear that had healed by itself? Scary. Is it possible?
Avatar f tn The tobradex is completely out of your system after 6 days. But your symptoms are very disturbing. I would return for another exam or seek a second opinion with another ophthalmologist.
Avatar n tn I had an eye infection(eye redness) and my doctor pescribed me Tobradex for 5 days. The eye redness is gone now but I'm having problem now on my right eye Problems are blurred vision ,eye pain upon eye movement and a sensitivity to light. I searched on Google and found in many articles that the eye blurriness is one of the side effects of using Tobradex. My question is there anyone had the same problem of blurry vision? what precautions to take ? Is your eye is now ok?
Avatar f tn I have an Optic: 6mm Length: 13mm Alcon AcrySof IQ lens. I can see the edge of it and it is very irritating. I read that sometimes a larger lens can be placed to treat the negative dysphotopsia (is that the right name?). I wonder: what are the sizes available and is there a larger than 6mm lens?
Avatar m tn I'm seriously considering using a surgeon that wants to implant a 3 piece alcon IOL because the 1 piece doesn't come in a power low enough for me to be corrected to his target of -.5 The lens power is +4.5 I've heard that 1 piece IOLs are easier to implant than 1 piece. True or not? A 1 piece alcon with a +6 power is what the other surgeon I'm considering wants to use which will correct me to approx. - 1.
Avatar n tn I was told that the eye itself looked very good...no infection/abrasions noted. I was put on Tobradex drops for pain management. I have not noticed any improvement with my eye since using the drops. I'm wanting to know if I should be seen by an opthamologist. Does an opthamologist treat problems associated with the eyelids/muscles when the eye appears to be healthy?
Avatar n tn I had eye surgery a month ago on 7/24/09. My doctor(opthamologist) pescibed tobradex to be used 4X daily. I put these eye drops in as directd. I have been using them now for a month. How long do I have to use this medicine? I am also using a tobradex ointment at bedtime. Can you plesae let me know? Frank.

Avatar f tn Both lower lids become puffy, a little bit itchy, red, wrinkled and visibly dry. I went to ophthalmologist and was prescribed Tobradex (antibiotic/corticosteroid). This medication helped after I used it for a couple of weeks. I stopped using it, and everything was fine for a while, my lower eyelids were back to normal, without that awful wrinkles and puffiness and redness. But in about 10-14 days the problem started again. I again used Tobradex for about 3-4 days.
Avatar f tn I have been noticeing small clear bubbles forming on the inside of my lowere eyelid . I have several of them , i had some tobradex drops and used them but nothing is makeing them go away , has anyone had this problem ???
Avatar n tn Are steroids such as Maxitrol or Tobradex *supposed* to help with eye burning caused by dry eye or can it make your symptoms worse? I'm dealing with allergic conjunctivitis (again!) and dealing with burning eyes. thanks!
1932338 tn?1349220398 I know Targeting Plano is common and also my goal, but seeing the IOL Master results shows me that my Surgeon (and me) have a decision to make between an Alcon SN60WF that Targets either of the three following choices: Target choices: 23.5 IOL with Refraction -0.1 24 IOL with Refraction -0.46 24.5 IOL with Refraction -0.82 I realize there is a 0.50 margin of error in targeting post-op uncorr. refraction, and was told one does NOT want to end up in the Hyperoptic (+) range.
Avatar n tn Would you recommend an 19 mo. old infant to use Tobradex for a chalazion? We just got a rx but we are not sure this is safe for an infant under two years old. The side effects for long term use mention glaucoma and vision problems? Should I be concerned about this?
Avatar n tn He put me on flax seed oil, allegra, restasis, sterilid and qtips, moisturizing eyedrops and tobradex. At one point he did tell me to slow down on the tobradex but I couldn't handle having such bloodshot eyes so he's allowed me to continue usage for the past year and a half while monitoring my IOP levels. I decided to try to wean myself off of tobradex again, but despite my bloodshot eyes he said that he didn't think I was experiencing rebound symptoms from the steroids.
Avatar n tn I am one week post-op for cataract surgery and I am still experienceing the same double vision in my eye that was present before the lens implant. Surgeon made mention of monocular (sp?) vision and has set me up for new glasses in two weeks. Is this too soon or should I postpone to see if the double vision clears ? I also currently have a slab-off type prescription in my other eye which he feels might not be needed in new glasses.
Avatar n tn My 93 yr. old mom was given Tobradex for an eye infection and has not been the same since. She had no med. hist. other than moderate dementia. After the 1st dose of tobradex, she became difficult to arrouse and because of this, slightly dehydrated. She also had immediate increased difficulty in swallowing. Approx. 3 weeks after dc of ointment, she was in the hospital due to build up of upper resp. fluid.
