Avatar m tn I was on tiazac 360mg for a couple of years for high blood pressure.I started having palpitations, skipped beats. The longer I was on it the worse it got. It finally got to where I was having some beats so strong and violent.I told my cardiologist and asked to change medication or a lower dose.He told me to go back to my family doctor who prescribed it originally. As it was 6 weeks to see him, I decided to stop the tiazac. After a few days the symptoms went away.
Avatar f tn I took tiazac about 7 days and have not had any since last wed would any of it still be in my system
Avatar f tn ok they say I have PVCs i have no clue!!!! I stopped the tiazac after about 7 days and my blood pressure has gone lower than when i was on it and i am still very dizzy.........heart rate is in the 70s to 100s..My dr said go ahead and start the coreg, and to take it only when things are over a 100.Well my pharmasist told me that coreg is a drug that needs to be taken daiely not as needed so im so confused.
Avatar f tn Hi I was on Tiazac for about 6 ot 7 days and i skipped a few days of it,i have been feeling extremely dizzy and i saw my heart dr yesterday and he told me to stop the tiazac and he is puttting me on Coreg 6.
Avatar n tn Rymthol 325 mg and Tiazac 180 mg. I converted from this episode shortly after arriving home. Had one more episode the following day lasting for about 1/2 hr. Diagnosis after episodes and all the testing was a-fib in an otherwise health heart Since that time, I have had only one episode -- recently for about 15 minutes. I just went into see my cardiologist for my annual EKG and check-up. He wants to do a Nuclear stress test.
Avatar f tn The cardiologist thinks my problem is because my diastolic BP increases with exercise. So, he put me on Tiazac 240 mg OD. The first few days, it made me more short of breath to the point that I couldn't walk across the room without stopping. And my cough got worse. It is a little better now(2 weeks later) but still worse than prior to starting the drug. My BP runs around 120/97 so it obviously is not enough. My BP was lower before taking this medication. Does this sound normal?
Avatar f tn Currently I am taking Diltiazem 420 mg daily and Isosorbide 90 mg. daily. Because the risk of spasms is greater during the early hour of the morning when waking up, I split the 90 mg. of isosorbide taking 30 mg in the afternoon and then 60 mg before going to bed.
Avatar f tn My medication tiazac makes me feel sooooooooo dizzy im wondering if i coujld stop taling it,I have missed the last two days i know it stays in the body for several days, but wondering if i might have ill effects from stopping it i see my dr tommorow,i take it for heartrate,,has anyone stopped it before i think dr will need to find me another med
Avatar m tn i have been on monopril for many years for high BP- and was OK to take the hep c Tx. however while on Tx my BP rose again, and they added tiazac as well. BP is now maintaining well, and 42 weeks into 48 everyy things looks as if it is working well.
Avatar f tn t take this anymore. I have heart palpitations because of the reflux and I am taking Tiazac xc to help control them but it doesn't work that well. I have been sleeping sitting up on my couch for at least a year. I don't feel like I have been receiving good care from my doctors that's why I haven't been back. Everytime I go see the doctor it is a total waste of time and nobody seems to be able to help me. I have small children to care for and I'm always sick.
Avatar f tn Depakote ER, Remeron, antipsychotic for short time, Hydrochlorothiazide, Atenenol, Trileptal, Luvox, Synthroid, Tiazac, Lipiter, insulin and some others. I have struggled most of this time with uncontrolable diarreahea. Eventually I started taking Imodium AD which helped to some extent. After a colonoscopy and tests for anything that shouldn't exist in the colon, ie: parasites etc.
Avatar f tn It's unbelievable that I made so many mistakes just writing down my problems, the worst is I forgot I entered this and entered again tonight. I've been having problems for 7 years until diagnosed. I'm not sure how this site works. This cognitive problems is not good. Questions is this a problem of MG, drugs, alzheimer's, a stroke or depression. I haven't called the my nerulogist yet. He said to call if I saw double. Concerning county mental health, why county?
Avatar m tn Berntd, is the medication you are taking Tiazac? If you check the side-effects of the medication, constipation in some is mentioned. You may want to check back with your doc.
Avatar n tn is it possible that my heart rate might revert to normal rhythm on its own (before the ablation)? If so, under what circumstances might this happen? Also, is there a way that I could help it along (particular exercises, foods, etc.)?
Avatar m tn I am fairly convinced these are esophageal spasms wonder why we haven’t tried Muscle-relaxing drugs including nitrate medications, such as isosorbide (Isordil), nifedipine (Procardia), diltiazem (Cardizem, Tiazac, others) or dicyclomine (Bentyl). I also wonder about Hyoscyamine Sulfate and what about this Heller Myotomy surgery (I’m desperate). In December 2012, I had an EGD done and was told it looks excellent, no ill effects of the acid reflux disease and esophagus looks good.
Avatar m tn In 19 study subjects, administration of a single 5 mg dose of amlodipine during treatment with telaprevir (750 mg every 8 hours for 7 days) increased the amlodipine peak plasma concentration (Cmax) and systemic exposure (AUC) by an average of 27% and 179%, respectively, compared to administration alone. No data are available for boceprevir; however, a similar interaction is expected.
Avatar m tn It is equally unknown whether MG can cause silent PID or only with symptoms like low abdominal pain. Regardless of cause, for most PID the symptoms are mild, not sufficiento to be any kind of "medical emergency".
Avatar m tn I continue to have burning at the base of my scrotum and penis 9 months after contact. I thought that MG could spread to other parts of the body especially through oral sex.
Avatar f tn But my problem is some of my other symptoms are not related to MG. I have problems walking, my giat is wide, I have a Babinski reflex, I have horrible involuntary muscle movements in my legs at night and problems with disfunctional bowel and bladder problems. My doctor ran another blood test and it showed twice a very high fatty acid level or VLCFA. But DNA test did not show ALD. My doctor started me on Zanaflex for the leg muscle problems when she thought I had ALD.
Avatar n tn Hi there. Ocular MG is a disease of the neuromuscular junction resulting in muscle weakness and fatigability. This is an autoimmune disease where anomalous antibodies are produced against the acetylcholine receptors in voluntary muscles. The most common presentation is double vision and eyelid drooping or ptosis wherea the pupil is spared. Diplopia is seen when MG affects a single extraocular muscle in one eye, limiting eye movement and leading to double vision.
Avatar n tn So in addition to my regular daily meds (Tiazac and Acebutolol), I take an Ativan as soon as a bad SVT starts. Just being able to do something -- even just taking a pill -- to try and make the event better seems to help a lot. I do the vagal maneuvres also, which help some of the time.
Avatar m tn Furosemide 40 mg and spironolactone 25 mg. Should I take both at once or take both the same day at different times or discontinue one? Did anyone can share your experience?
Avatar f tn ECG, 24hr Holter, MIBI and Echo, during MIBI it was determined though that I do have excercise induced LBBB. Was put on BP meds 180mg once a day Tiazac, had helped a bit, chest pressure is less, heart rate has diminished at times - but not consistant. Blood work all fine except verry low ferritin, I've been taking 900mg iron daily. I was also tested for pheocromocytoma (tumor in adrenal glands) will get results tomorrow.
