Avatar f tn The cardiologist thinks my problem is because my diastolic BP increases with exercise. So, he put me on Tiazac 240 mg OD. The first few days, it made me more short of breath to the point that I couldn't walk across the room without stopping. And my cough got worse. It is a little better now(2 weeks later) but still worse than prior to starting the drug. My BP runs around 120/97 so it obviously is not enough. My BP was lower before taking this medication. Does this sound normal?
Avatar m tn I was on tiazac 360mg for a couple of years for high blood pressure.I started having palpitations, skipped beats. The longer I was on it the worse it got. It finally got to where I was having some beats so strong and violent.I told my cardiologist and asked to change medication or a lower dose.He told me to go back to my family doctor who prescribed it originally. As it was 6 weeks to see him, I decided to stop the tiazac. After a few days the symptoms went away.
Avatar f tn t take this anymore. I have heart palpitations because of the reflux and I am taking Tiazac xc to help control them but it doesn't work that well. I have been sleeping sitting up on my couch for at least a year. I don't feel like I have been receiving good care from my doctors that's why I haven't been back. Everytime I go see the doctor it is a total waste of time and nobody seems to be able to help me. I have small children to care for and I'm always sick.
Avatar n tn Still hiked, xc ski, backpacked. Got rid of them with taurine, l-carnitine, l-arginine (500 mg each/day), 2 weeks to see improvement, gone in 4 weeks.
Avatar n tn My husband has been addicted to Vicodin for many years, switching to Oxycontin a few years ago. He has been trying to cut back for years but is still taking 240 mg a day minimum. What is the likelyhood that he can actually cut back slowly. He doesn't have any will power that I can see.
Avatar f tn I took tiazac about 7 days and have not had any since last wed would any of it still be in my system
Avatar f tn ok they say I have PVCs i have no clue!!!! I stopped the tiazac after about 7 days and my blood pressure has gone lower than when i was on it and i am still very dizzy.........heart rate is in the 70s to 100s..My dr said go ahead and start the coreg, and to take it only when things are over a 100.Well my pharmasist told me that coreg is a drug that needs to be taken daiely not as needed so im so confused.
Avatar f tn Hi I was on Tiazac for about 6 ot 7 days and i skipped a few days of it,i have been feeling extremely dizzy and i saw my heart dr yesterday and he told me to stop the tiazac and he is puttting me on Coreg 6.
Avatar n tn is it possible that my heart rate might revert to normal rhythm on its own (before the ablation)? If so, under what circumstances might this happen? Also, is there a way that I could help it along (particular exercises, foods, etc.)?
1755625 tn?1421447637 I started with Tecfidera but had an allergic reaction to it. You start with 120 mg and then go to 240 mg. I was OK with the 120 mg but once I changed to 240 mg, my face and eyes swelled up. I looked like I was in a bar room brawl without the bruises. My Dr. has now changed me to Plegridy. I am just hoping that I don't have another allergic reaction to it. Best of luck to you.
1765684 tn?1333819168 m in a phase III trial, BI 20133 (240 mg, 120 mg or placebo) and interferon/ribavirin. I was DET under 25 at week 12. At week 18 I was UND (just got that result from last week). Of course I have no idea when I became UND because the PCR was only done at weeks 12 and 18. There are three EOT times, 24 weeks, 36 weeks and 48 weeks. I won't know if I'm finishing at 36 or 48 until January 20. Darned sure I won't be finishing at 24 weeks due to my week 12 result.
Avatar n tn can i take propafenone 150mg at the same time i take cardizem cd 240 mg caps /sr 24hr?
Avatar m tn m kind of pale for FL, but not like a ghost or anything. I run XC, but have been taking a break for a couple of months in the offseason. I can't quite remember when this started, but it's happened for quite some time now, though I don't recall if I noticed it during the XC season).
Avatar n tn I was started on verapamil 120 mg then advised to increase the dose to 240 mg. At 240 mg, I experienced severe palpitations which woke me up at night, caused shortness of breath, and fullness in my neck. When I decreased the dose to 120 mg, the palpitations resolved. I saw my cardiologist's PA who said that I should try a beta blocker, but she didn't notice any rhythm disturbances when she listened to my heart (I didn't have symptoms at the time).
Avatar n tn Rymthol 325 mg and Tiazac 180 mg. I converted from this episode shortly after arriving home. Had one more episode the following day lasting for about 1/2 hr. Diagnosis after episodes and all the testing was a-fib in an otherwise health heart Since that time, I have had only one episode -- recently for about 15 minutes. I just went into see my cardiologist for my annual EKG and check-up. He wants to do a Nuclear stress test.
Avatar m tn I have not tried the 3 grain or 180 mg pill, but I felt a hugh difference between the 120 mg pill and the 240 mg pill. Two 120 mg pills made me feel normal, whereas 1 240 mg pill made me feel severely hypo. I don't understand this, and would be grateful for your thoughts. Also, someone said that, when you switch from one brand of NDT to another, you need a period of adjustment and may do worse at first.
Avatar m tn My mother is 70 years old. In the past year there have been many significant changes in her health for the worst. I've gone through 2 family doctors and 2 neurologists and none can explain what is wrong with her. First I'd like to tell you what medication she is currently taking then I'll tell you what's wrong with her. A) Verapamil 240 mg B) clonozepam 1 mg C) simvastatin 20 mg D) levothiroxin 50 mcg E) Benicar 40 mg F) ramapril 10 mg.
Avatar m tn Both are under total control with medications (Glucotrol XL 10 mg and Metformin 1000 mg 2 times daily, Also Benicar 10 mg and duriatic pill 25 mg ) I never dink nor smoke and I have no evident health problems .
Avatar f tn Two weeks ago my Cardio doctor changed my medication from Cardizem LA to Diltiazem CD. I know it's the generic brand of Cardizem. Anyway he raised my dosage from 240 mg. to 300 mg. For a whole week I had some terrible side effects. I blacked out once while sitting at my computer and then I came close to blacking out on a daily basis. I also felt off balance. I ended up going to my primary doctor, not for this, but for something else. I guess it was a follow up appointment.
Avatar f tn Awesome thankies rockrose you got long to go xc
688143 tn?1228580875 Yes, you (and anyone else willing to) can attempt to help me, as I desperately NEED and WANT it - Thank you! For starters, how did you go C/T from 240+ mg per day!!!! Was that your first attempt? Why did you go c/t and not attempt to wean or taper yourself off or try other meds to help? Or did you not HAVE a choice? Etc.
778037 tn?1377986200 The initial dose is 80 mg Inderal daily in divided doses. The usual effective dose range is 160 mg to 240 mg per day. The dosage may be increased gradually to achieve optimum migraine prophylaxis. If a satisfactory response is not obtained within four to six weeks after reaching the maximum dose, Inderal therapy should be discontinued. It may be advisable to withdraw the drug gradually over a period of several weeks.Hope this helps you . Take care and regards !
