My heart rate has been high and dr has been trying me on differnt meds to bring it down the last med was tiazac,,,,i stopped it on thursday last week,,,since then my heartrate has gone from the 70s to 100s but mostly staying in the 80s,and my blood pressure is fine im wondering would i need to still be on a medicine if my heart rate stays in the 80s, my dr gave me coreg to try because the tiazac made me so dizzy but since going off the tiazac things have calmed down,the nurse said if i went on t
ok they say I have PVCs i have no clue!!!! I stopped the tiazac after about 7 days and my blood pressure has gone lower than when i was on it and i am still very dizzy.........heart rate is in the 70s to 100s..My dr said go ahead and start the coreg,and to take it only when things are over a 100.Well my pharmasist told me that coreg is a drug that needs to be taken daiely not as needed so im so confused.
Hi I was on Tiazac for about 6 ot 7 days and i skipped a few days of it,i have been feeling extremely dizzy and i saw my heart dr yesterday and he told me to stop the tiazac and he is puttting me on Coreg 6.
I was on tiazac 360mg for a couple of years for high blood pressure.I started having palpitations, skipped beats. The longer I was on it the worse it got. It finally got to where I was having some beats so strong and violent.I told my cardiologist and asked to change medication or a lower dose.He told me to go back to my family doctor who prescribed it originally. As it was 6 weeks to see him, I decided to stop the tiazac. After a few days the symptoms went away.
I went to the ER, was given drugs and eventually coverted on my own. After extensive testing overnight in the hospital, I went home with Rymthol 225 mg. Within a few hours, I went back into A-fib, returned to the ER and was sent home still in A-fib but with a change in drugs: Rymthol 325 mg and Tiazac 180 mg. I converted from this episode shortly after arriving home. Had one more episode the following day lasting for about 1/2 hr.
I took tiazac about 7 days and have not had any since last wed would any of it still be in my system
I have taken a large amount of medications over the last 20 years: Depakote ER, Remeron, antipsychotic for short time, Hydrochlorothiazide, Atenenol, Trileptal, Luvox, Synthroid, Tiazac, Lipiter, insulin and some others. I have struggled most of this time with uncontrolable diarreahea. Eventually I started taking Imodium AD which helped to some extent. After a colonoscopy and tests for anything that shouldn't exist in the colon, ie: parasites etc.
My medication tiazac makes me feel sooooooooo dizzy im wondering if i coujld stop taling it,I have missed the last two days i know it stays in the body for several days,but wondering if i might have ill effects from stopping it i see my dr tommorow,i take it for heartrate,,has anyone stopped it before i think dr will need to find me another med
So in addition to my regular daily meds (Tiazac and Acebutolol), I take an Ativan as soon as a bad SVT starts. Just being able to do something -- even just taking a pill -- to try and make the event better seems to help a lot. I do the vagal maneuvres also, which help some of the time.
So intense that they feel like a heart attack. I have been to the ER many times. I have continued Previcid and a variety of prescriptions including: diazepam, amitriptyline, nortriptylene, baclofen, and reglan. antibiotics, probiotics, nothing has seemed to help.
i have been on monopril for many years for high BP- and was OK to take the hep c Tx. however while on Tx my BP rose again, and they added tiazac as well. BP is now maintaining well, and 42 weeks into 48 everyy things looks as if it is working well.
The cardiologist thinks my problem is because my diastolic BP increases with exercise. So, he put me on Tiazac 240 mg OD. The first few days, it made me more short of breath to the point that I couldn't walk across the room without stopping. And my cough got worse. It is a little better now(2 weeks later) but still worse than prior to starting the drug. My BP runs around 120/97 so it obviously is not enough. My BP was lower before taking this medication.
Does this sound normal?
t take this anymore. I have heart palpitations because of the reflux and I am taking Tiazac xc to help control them but it doesn't work that well. I have been sleeping sitting up on my couch for at least a year. I don't feel like I have been receiving good care from my doctors that's why I haven't been back. Everytime I go see the doctor it is a total waste of time and nobody seems to be able to help me. I have small children to care for and I'm always sick.
My first experience with a CCB was Verapamil. I had pretty severe side effects, spent a 1/2 day in ER because of it and was taken off the med. Now, years later, because I was due to have surgery they wanted me on a med to calm my heart. They said a CCB and I wasn't too happy about the idea. But they put me on a low dose of Diltiazem and it's been fine. Had the initial adjustment of fatigue, headache, dizziness.
Berntd, is the medication you are taking Tiazac? If you check the side-effects of the medication, constipation in some is mentioned. You may want to check back with your doc.
After hitting 40, I developed systemic hypertension and my last echo showed some left ventricular hypertrophy but normal EF and cardiac function. I have been on tiazac and HCTZ to combination treat the tachycardia and hypertension for about three years now and was doing well with an occasional palpitation but nothing else. Two weeks ago, however, I had a three-day period where I had several episodes of near-syncope while sitting at rest.
9 weeks. I had to go to the ER YESTERDAY because when i wipe i saw red/pinkish blood in toilet paper. The doctor did an ultrasound and said baby looked fine ( he/she even moved for us). The doctor also did a pelvic exam and said that everything looked fine. She also told me that 25% of woman bleed during pregnancy.. has anyone else had bleeding?

Just got to the er talked to my dr about the shortness of breath & dizziness I've been having & they sent me right over here.....
I found out I was officially preggo today through my blood test but now I'm have excruitiating pain in my pelvis on the right side so I'm at the ER.
So today I went to the er to get checked the nurses said im at 1cm and my contractions were 40 seconds apart they rum a few tests to make sure my water wasn't ruptured etc. Everything came back normal ...but my question is why wasn't I feeling any pain? Now im worried. Im 35 weeks long. Not to mention I loved the nurses and Obgyns ay mercy san juan great hospital!
