Avatar n tn I have been on thyroid replacement therapy for 10 years with no problem. Suddenly about 3 months ago in June I started to get anxious, depressed and exhausted. Finally my doctors ran more thyroid testing and my TSH was a 7. They changed my medication from 112mcg of synthroid to 150mcg daily about three days ago. Now I'm jittery and having trouble sleeping. Is this the symptoms of an out of whack thyroid/ Will it get better as my body adjusts to the new dosage? Please help.
Avatar n tn t on medication, but I feel jittery, it takes me forever to fall asleep. He told me the synthroid will level me off and I should feel completely back to normal in a few weeks. My concern is that perhaps I'm not hypothryoid and shouldn't be on medication at all, however I'm not well versed in problems with the thyroid and would appreciate any input you have.
Avatar f tn I have had problems with anxiety. Heart racing, jittery, weight loss, constant nervousness. I have tried a few anti depressants which only leave me feeling just as jittery. I was prescribed Ativan and Xanax for the shakes and jitters. Recently I have had my thyroid re-tested and my level is 0.6 which has dropped in the last 5 months from 1.8. I am still told by one of my doctors that it is still in the normal range and not to worry about it, and to go see a psychiatrist about more meds.
Avatar m tn I just was not feeling well so I went to an Endro and he some blood work and of course the tests were not accurate and he said I was on too much thyroid and it could effect my heart, He lowered it some and said to come back in a month. Last week, I went to my family dr., and I took all my lab work from the summer and he said that I don't have thyroid problems. He told me to quit it last week and that he was going to consult with the endro. this week.
Avatar n tn My doctor decided to see where my blood levels were at again along with testing my thyroid. EVERYTHING is normal. My iron levels are great and my thyroid is totally fine as well. The ONLY thing I can think of being an issue is side effects from Cymbalta. It is just unbearable. The only way I can explain the feeling is that it is like I drank multiple cups of coffee on an empty stomach. Just so shaky, foggy, and overall crappy. Does anyone have any insight or suggestions? Thank you!
Avatar f tn I'd eat small snacks throughout the day just to play it safe. I was the same way with my first. If I didn't have a snack every few hours I would shake.
Avatar f tn Had bran flakes and watermelon at 10am and by 3pm I was jittery. Why is this? Does it mean I need to snack more often?
Avatar f tn Every morning bout an hour after I eat breakfast I get very jittery, weakness and sometimes nauseated. I have eaten eggs, or banana, or even peanut butter crackers. I have had blood work and drs say it is all good. I had a blood sugar test and it was good. I also just had a h pylori test and it was positive but my symptoms are not the same for that. It has been 2 weeks since my first episode and I have changed my eating habits and drink more water too! I am 52 years old and I am overweight.
Avatar n tn what can I do since my daughter turned 18 she will not take her thyroid medication? I'm fearful this will cause death.
Avatar n tn What are some of the serious long term repercussions of having a TSH level of 0.03? I've had on overactive thyroid with my 1st pregnancy, this being my 2nd it has dropped lower and lasted a little longer. I've lost a LOT of hair and am constantly jittery. I had more bloodwork done yesterday and the Dr. said it has improved a little and want's me to wait 2 more months to see if it improves any more.
Avatar f tn In 2015 I had Triple Negative Breast Cancer and I did not have any Thyroid blood tests done that year. Last blood test 8-27-14 for Thyroid showed Free T4: .710, TSH: 4.15, FreeT3: 3.41. On 6-9-2016 Free T4:.679 (low), TSH: 2.43 (low), Free T3 3.83 (in normal range). I was prescribed by my Internist 25MCG of Levothyroxine Sodium. because I needed more T4 (she said). With the new medication I noticed anxiety, hot flash increase, dizziness, shakiness, jittery, moody.
Avatar f tn Was just diagnosed with Hashimoto's two weeks ago due to high TPO antibodies. I have had hypothyroidism for about a year-and-a-half and have been on 50 mg of Levothyroxine. I was stupid and stopped taking my levothyroxine when I had a sinus infection in the middle of September, which is when I think all of this was triggered. Can anyone give me their symptoms so I feel okay about mine LOL I keep fluctuating between hyper and hypo and I'm freaking out.
Avatar m tn i have days when my symptoms are very hypo (sluggish, exhaustion, cold etc) and a few times lately i have been feeling nervous, jittery and with much energy. just wondering. i am dx as hypo, take 150mcg of levothroxine and 1000mcg of b12/day. my TSH 5weeks ago was 120. i go back to dr. jan2.
Avatar f tn I find that I have to space them out by many hours or I get very jittery if take as an example Sudafed and my Synthroid together ... I make a judgment call and usually take the Sudafed in the AM and then do the Synthroid much later ... together they make me very anxiety ridden for hours.
Avatar n tn Hi, this could be due to neuropathy, low calcium levels, vitamin B deficiency etc. Other possibility is TIA (transient ischemic attack). How old are you? Any history of hypertension or diabetes? Please get calcium levels done along with thyroid status. Try vitamin B supplements too.
Avatar n tn Do you think this is too high to begin with? I have been on the medicine for 10 days. I am feeling a little jittery and my BP seems to be going up a little. Thank you.
Avatar n tn The last two days I have not been able to sleep, I get hot then cold and back and forth and i feel wide awake like jittery.
Avatar n tn My dose was just reduced last year for similar reasons although I was feeling alittle jittery and I lost a couple 2-3 pounds in the course of a month. I was really interested in where my levels would be after 3 months at the reduced level and interestingly everything came back in normal and I didn't notice any difference in how I felt and the couple pounds didn't come back. I kept waiting to feel "hypo"....never happened.
Avatar m tn Summertime has kicked in here in NC with a vengeance and its been nearly 100 degrees for many days and the longer I sit out in the heat, the more jittery I get, like that jittery feeling you get right before a panic attack hit, or at least mine did. I get so jittery I start hopping around in my seat, moving around, leg shaking and I just can't take it. And I'm talking only a few minutes in the heat...usually starts after I've been in the heat about 85 degrees for about 5 minutes.
Avatar f tn I felt a little depressed with the anxiety and he started me on Zoloft at the beginning of November. I have been having the jittery caffeine feeling with this med consistently having to take klonopin ..25mg in the am with the dose as it seems to be works about 5 hours post dose. These symptoms did get somewhat better over time but I have tried to stop the klonopin twice and the jittery feeling returns.
8485484 tn?1408936473 Does anyone else ever feel jittery or shaky and it seems like my heart is racing? I'm not sure if it's after I eat or what but it's happened a few times now... Is it someone that I should be worried about or is is normal during pregnancy? Ahh I hate the feeling!!
Avatar f tn It seems like you are inbetween hyper and hypo thyroid. Do you still have your thyroid?? What was the reson for starting the med's (diagnosis)? 25mcg is a very low dosage and suprising that you have any symptom's at all.
Avatar f tn 08 and not being on any type of hormone replacement cause one to have thyroid problems? First off it started I was having the jitters - haven't had this strange feeling in YEARS. That is just one of the symptoms and then the weight loss. I am a bit concerned about the weight loss though - NOT that I don't need to lose weight because I do, but not lose it when I don't know why I'm losing it.
Avatar n tn nothing specific except more anxious and jittery in the morning (when I take Cytomel) In other words, I felt better before this last change (in fact I didn't feel that bad when my TSH was .01). Anyway, I know I am not a doctor, but my endocrinologist (who is very well respected) has been known for looking at the numbers and not at the patient. So, any suggestions?
Avatar f tn So about 4 years ago I started having random vision blackouts which I passed off as hypotension. It went away and then about 2 years ago it came back and ever since then I've been having these vision blackouts everyday not a single to missed since then.Recently I had episodes of shaking but they come and go.Sometimes it'll be in my legs, sometimes my hands, and sometimes I'll get this jittery shaky feeling throughout my whole body.
