I am getting a sore throat what are home remedies that you all use? I am pretty good with not getting sick but i dont like taking meds while im pregnant n im tryin to catch it bfore it gets bad.. i drink alot of gatorade n take my vitamins..

I was on antibiotics for strep throat/tonsillitis...the darn things kept blowing up in my throat. This did NOT help the esophagus one little bit, as you can well imagine! I feel like I have a golf ball stuck in my throat, and the doctor offered me some mouthwash??!!!??? I asked pharmacist and she said it was for sore throats. My throat is not sore, it feels like it has something stuck in it.DOH!! Anyway, the tecta alone is obviously not helping. My esphagus hurts like bleep everytime I swallow.

What are some good at home remedies for a sore throat and runny nose? I am 36 + 2 and just got this cold a day ago. I have been drinking tea with a tablespoon of honey and it helps but just a bit. Any suggestions would be great!

Did your doc even bother to do a strep test or anything? Strep throat can also cause ulcers in the throat and mouth and strep is definitely something that neeeds to be treated with antibiotics.

Well, yeah, but the remedies for an ulcer are different than the remedies for other gastric problems. It's hard to believe your mother about this, though, because as you probably know, an ulcer if not treated can eventually become a bleeding ulcer, which isn't wonderful -- I had one many years ago. I thought I had one like you and saw my doctor, who said I was too young to have one and let me go.

This time I went to the doctor because the back of my throat also had ulcers. The doctor swabbed one of the ulcers and said she was gonna send it to be tested for herpes and for shingles. She said if they didnt call then the tests were negative. So I didn't get a call, the ulcers slowly went away, and I was relieved. However, in the past week and a bit the ulcers have been reappearing, and the glands in my neck are swollen and painful.
