i went to the local clinic and the doctor told me it was herpes by looking at it, and gave me acyclovir 200g 4x a day for a week it cured my ulcers before the week is finished. on june 2013 i have another ulcers outbreak this time with a fever and its only on top and under my tongue. its mild compare to the first outbreak.i took acyclovir and it help to cure the ulcers. im having second though if it is really herpes. i dont see any blister forming before the ulcers appear.
two on the tip and one a little to the side. I was reading online that ulcerative colitis can cause sores to appear in your mouth and didn't know if this was a cause for the sores to appear. Now, I have one on the tip of my tongue that just appeared yesterday and today it has a white center. I'm kinda freaking out if it would just a regular ulcer caused by the colitis or if it is something worse like herpes.
I continue with mouth sores/ulcers and sores on my tongue. The ENT had no answers for me. I finally went to GI and had an endoscope today. No reflux, but I had esophogeal webbing that he loosened and took some biopsies. I am not sure what is esophageal webbing or what causes this. Anyone with insight? I also still don't have any answers as to what is causing the mouth ulcers for months now.
copegus - i have some of the normal sx but all of a sudden i have a very sore throat, roof of mouth and sore, raw tongue. my tongue seems to be very dry and it burns. i still have my tonsils and think i have gotten tonsilitis (sore throat & hard to swallow) this has been going on for a week now - any suggestions? anyone experience this before?
My partner has never had any symptoms of herpes (oral or genital) and has not so much as had a cold sore. My throat is so sore and very hard to swallow and the white spots are still clustered in one small area, with nothing elsewhere on penis or lips or mouth. The doctor I saw two days ago suggested it could be the cold sore virus (herpes) as canker sores unlikely as they would be randomly spread not clustered. He prescribed 200mg tablets of aciclovir five times a day for 5 days.

I'd be careful using L-Lysine ointment on your tongue. It's meant for sores
and ulcers. How long have you had the sore on your tongue? Is the sore
on top of your tongue or underneath your tongue? Just wondering.
I, too, have had a slight fever, but severe pain from ulcers on my tongue and on the roof of my mouth. The pain is from the tip of my tongue to the root, palate, throat, and even to my right ear. An MD glanced at my mouth and said I have a few ulcers and offered only some numbing mouthwash. I want to know why this is happening, not put a bandaid on it.
Have you gotten information on your similar problem?
Now, another week later (4/5 weeks after sex with that girl) I still have chapped lips, ulcers on my tongue and the spots on my penis have begun to show up more and more. I have also had for the past 4 days an INCREDIBLY painful and sore throat with spots on the back of it.
I'm not sure what to think. From day one I have thought it has been herpes, but I have had no herpes type outbreaks on my penis (that I know of?) - nor any cold sores on my mouth.
ve had the sore throat, but for the whole four weeks Ive had dry, chapped lips and outbreaks of ulcers on my tongue.
The sore in my mouth does not appear to be a blister and is not sore, it may be from me accidently biting the inside of my mouth maybe?
It simply feels like a rougher patch of skin within my mouth, and from as far as I'm aware, HSV2 doesn't tend to affect within the mouth, especially right at the back next to the molars.
Thanks for the replies, yes JJ I get the ulcers on my tongue (not anywhere else) just on my tongue and my glands get swollen and my throat becomes sore, then they disappear only to return again.
To Dochiru I went off my meds due to constipation but unfortunately now I am off the bladder meds I am having issues again!! So I fixed one problem but the old one is back (groan)! I was taking Vesicare for burning and bladder spasms and urgency and Gabapentin for nerve pain.

i went already to a number of ENT , the last 2 of them say i should remove my tonsils , if i want to get ride of the swollen lymph nodes & the sore throat , then this is the solution,
what i'm worry about is , i have my tonsils for my whole life , why just now it come chronic ( also could it be the reason for the swollen lymph nodes , sore throat & mouth ulcers .
At 9/10 days, a white sore on my top gums by my molars and a tiny ulcer on my tongue; at 17 days (and most days since), small white marks/bumps on my inner cheek that don’t hurt and I can almost move with my tongue (thrush??); at 21 days, small ulcers on the inside of front lip.
At 21 days I got diarrhea that lasted for two days. The other night (23 days in) I got a sore throat.
I was diagnosed with genital hsv1 in March. I never had any oral symptoms, but got my first oral outbreak in July. I got a swab test and the sore on my lip was indeed HSV1. At the same time I had severely swollen gums and ulcers on my tongue. Since then I've been having recurrent gum swelling and tongue ulcers twice a month. From what I've read, it is pretty unusual to have recurrent hsv on your tongue. Any advice or suggestions about what is going on, or why it is so bad?
I had the one under the tongue at the back of throat and thought I had a sore throatuntil others appeared in one cheek area. Used Biotene mouthwash 3-4 times a day and they started to clear up.. Also had lidocaine swish by prescription to paint on before eating. Didn't 'swish' in mouth because didn't want to bite myself with a numb tongue. It takes a few days for them to start to clear.
