Avatar f tn I never Said that it would be caused by low testosterone but that it’s associated with it. A varicocele can impact testicular growth and hormone production.
Avatar f tn s, and this past year I have started to grow hair where it should NOT be, facial like a man and my stomach, is there any help for this problem? And what makes this happen ?
1752977 tn?1418221796 Sounds like you may have a high testosterone and/or low estrogen level. This may have also contributed to the miscarriages, but not necessarily. Hope you get an answer soon!
Avatar f tn It is my understanding from reading that an adolescent varicocele has ZERO impact on penis size and growth. Rest easy.
Avatar m tn I have been having excessive body hair growth and not so much growth in my scalp region. So is excessive body hair a side effect of levothyroxine?
Avatar f tn I have a total T3 in the upper end/top of the reference range due to using T4 and T3 for hypothyroidism. However, recently I developed moderate acne and noticed new hair growth at the corners of my mouth and in between my eyebrows. It turns out that i have a mildly elevated total testosterone level but normal SHBG. Could the elevated total testosterone be causing these symptoms and be enough to diagnose PCOS or is my elevated total testosterone in someway linked to my T3 use?
Avatar n tn I have some issues with my facial hair growth. I have dense hair growth on the sides of the face and neck, however the mustache is sparse. I don't think it is genetically inherited in my case. My father and all the brothers are having thick beard and thick mustache. I have read about Minoxidil, etc, I believe they are not effective for mustache growth. I have not tried using any testosterone gels in my life.
Avatar n tn is there a correlation between low testosterone and peyronies disorder ? If so, does treating the low t seem to affect the peyronies ,, by improving or at least slowing the progression ?
Avatar m tn So um.... I'm here because I had this big cyst on my thyroid, but I also have central hypogonadism. It's my impression that doctors in general for psychological reasons really really want to ignore hypogonadism. Anything but that. Also doctors are often very confused and mixed up beliefs. For instance, early pregnancy will stop a young women's growth because of hormones.
Avatar f tn no adrenal growth factor and growth hormone test and an mri or ct scan
Avatar f tn When I went through puberty I had little to no testicle growth. My testosterone is in the mid 400s, TSH is slightly raised. I constantly feel weak, very low energy and low sex drive.
Avatar n tn This would be a great question for Dr Lupo at the expert thyroid forum. You can find it toward the bottom rt side of this page under expert forum....just click on thyroid. There seems to be a lot involved here with the endocrine system. Sometimes you will see a combination of Thyroid disfunction and Adrenal disfunction....they actually go hand in hand quite often. Addisons is the name of low adrenals causing low cortisol. Possibly even the pituitary is involved?
Avatar n tn t know for sure, however, taking HCG makes your penis a little bigger if you are a teen and taking exogenous testosterone suppresses HCG. It might, at that stage in life, suppress penis growth (anyone know for sure)? No one in the world seems to know what testosterone does psychologically but believes people should wait until adulthood. Testosterone pills are the only versions of testosterone that are known to cause blood filled cysts on the liver and even cancer.
Avatar m tn I have been diagnosed with low testosterone and fibromyalgia. I am 33 and was diagnosed at about 28. I really think I have always had this as a problem, just undiagnosed till now. Can long term low T levels cause muscle fiber deterioration and chronic debilitating muscle pain. Sometimes I couldn't even tell you where it hurts, and I am always sick and ran down. My doc has me on a T cream.
Avatar f tn Thanks a lot... i appreciate ur helpful reply....
747152 tn?1240320709 Blood tests show I am low in human growth hormone, insulin growth factor, testosterone and DHEA. My Dr. thinks this is "nothing to worry about" but its quite obvious to me "this nothing to worry about" tumor is reaking havic in my body and causing the hormonal imbalance. My hair continues to thin and I have patches where you can see my scalp. I feel & look HORRIBLE and I'm just not myself, I look in the mirror and wonder who that person is looking back at me....

Avatar f tn I visited 4 pediatrics, and last one prescribed testosterone enanthate 25 mg every 4 week during 3 months, but she said that hasn't experience this kind of treat. I must explain that , I live in Poland- ultra Catholic country where this area- penis, sex is taboo. I have any chance to treat by endocrinologist, because that think that god's will. I want to help my son but I have doubts or I make good.
Avatar m tn Blocked sebaceous glands, swollen hair follicles and excessive testosterone production will cause such cysts. Generally no treatment is required but they become painful then it means they are infected,Then surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
393685 tn?1425812522 t know which one, when I was on progesterone cream is when the fuzz started growing all over. But years ago when I did the saliva test it showed too much testosterone and low in prog. and estro. Maybe just the imbalance. Anyone know what else to do about them.....other than shave? Maybe some home remedy to scrub them away ?????
Avatar n tn Was wondering if anyone out there has a confirmed high testosterone level and if removing a cyst on the ovary will change those levels. I have had a "cyst" for 10 years that I am removing because it keeps fluctuating in size and is now causing other symptoms. My whole ovary may be taken, but my hormones have neve been right anyway. Most doctors have just left it alone with followup U/S but I have had thinning hair and pain in the ovary, and now pain in my back on that side.
