Avatar n tn NO I never took any of these as most supplements are a waste of time and money. I'm not going to look them all up but usually you can do just fine with a healthy diet and regular vitamins. No need to buy any of this stuff - except if you want to waste money and most all of it is a hoax.
325086 tn?1217971180 I am tired of getting mixed opinions about supplements and vitamins. I am taking antioxidants, the Berkson approach (Milk Thistle, Selenium, Alpha Lipoic Acid), plus NAC, C, E, B-Vitamins, Resveratrol, L-Glutamine, Omega 3 from fish oil. Some Doctors and Community members think this is overdoing it. I'm Genotype 2 and was a non-responder to treatment. So far, on this regimine, my Liver Panels look good........High Albumin & Protein, normal ALT & AST with normal Platelets.
Avatar f tn The few available resources list common B6 toxicity symptoms as a feeling of pins and needles in hands and feet. There seem to be many other symptoms. Please, list your symptoms here.
Avatar f tn m hoping Quix will see this and advise, it links to a post by Georgious some days ago. Am I right in thinking that you said there is a list of supplements not advisable for auto-immune sufferers. I have looked but can't see it anywhere.
Avatar f tn Processed foods, pesticides etc are a good reason why most of the people have a lack of nutriments and vitamins/minerals therefore this is why i strongly suggest vitamins/minerals and superfoods supplements. Superfoods are foods that contain high amount of nutriments, vitamins and minerals and have antioxidant and many more proprieties. You must know that there are also natural anti-anxiety remedies and supplements available.
Avatar f tn Your situation is somewhat similar to mine. I also have had hep C 1b since 69 and was just diagnosed 2 years ago. I never had a bx so don't know what stage my liver is in. My VL is around 1/2 M and my ALT in the 120's. I have taken tons of supplements due to various issues such as pain, energy level, ect. It appears that some of those may have been related to my HC. Anyway, I went to a natural MD first so see what he might do because I was afraid of regular treatments.
Avatar f tn Because some research has shown that women with PCOS are insulin resistant, we need to really watch our sugar intake, while eating LOTs of raw, whole, live fruits, veggies, and superfoods..This along with exercise, stress reduction, (yoga is the best for me) and supplements have been shown to help other women.. I have been pretty down lately, due to the hair loss and skin problems, and have yet to give the natural path a complete go of it.
2175366 tn?1337651654 Some people get good results with "superfoods" such as bee pollen, royal jelly, spirulina because they are so highly concentrated with nutrients. Adrenal aids such as eleuthero and rhodiola can be helpful as well.
15355684 tn?1440035790 Can anyone suggest some superfoods that help improve the brain performance? Recently I found a superfood called Bulletproof brain octane oil that helps improve brain performance at Giddy Yoyo, a certified organic food product seller in Canada. Does anyone here have tried this product? or if someone who knows better superfood then please share.
Avatar f tn I have a mostly healthy diet with a day or two in the month where I eat junk, like popcorn and apple pie with ice cream I recently started mixing Amazing Grass Superfoods and Wheat grass in my morning smoothies. My smoothies include a helping of berries: blue, black, and strawberries with banana and grape juice. Not sure if the superfoods have causes this grainy stool, but I am concerned since it lasts for a couple of days.
547836 tn?1302832832 Please share what you agree and disagree from my list, and list what vitamin/ mineral supplements you are taking. VITAMIN A: FAT SOLUBLE For eye health. I try to avoid fat soluble vitamins seeing that the liver is a major processor and storage for lipids. Vitamin A has a toxicity level that may lead to liver failure.
1718215 tn?1317749366 This is not an endosement on my part but Gauf has been studious and serious and would likely respond to a Private Message if you sent it. You will note that his list of supplements is not static; it changed before, during and after treatment. This stuff is way over my head so I can't suggest anything but to research the best way you can.
928257 tn?1296673492 I'm 45 yrs old and for the past month, I've been taking the following supplements all at once, first thing in the morning: Schiff Omega 3 Krill Oil Softgel Lecithin softgel 400mg Super B Complex caplet Aspirin 81mg tab Claritin-D 24 Hr tab Today I added a Women's One a Day to my daily supplements. Avatar m tn I already know that high amounts of certain supplements like vitamin K and iron should be avoided when taking blood thinners but what other vitamins or minerals should be avoided? I've read that high amounts of vitamin E can cause problems but since the dose will be devided she'll only be getting around 133 iu.
Avatar n tn I believe that magnesium has muscle relaxing properties. As a cautionary statement, they probably list it that way to be aware that both BB's and magnesium can lower the heart rate.
Avatar f tn Wouldn't personally take Centrum -- all non-health food vitamins use non-absorbable forms of nutrients and use toxic artificial colors and fillers and binders. The company bought Solgar, which was once one of the best vitamin companies, and destroyed it because of their ignorance. So I'd stay away from the drug stores if you're looking for absorbable vitamins and minerals.
Avatar f tn s that have gotten pregnant, and FSH fluctuates, the other gal is right so I would really take lots of supplements-wheatgrass pills (available at health food stores), Co Enzyme Q, and DHEA is known to also improve eggs and fertility in women. Start with a low dose and work your way up.. DHEA gives me headaches if I take more than 25mg.
3211536 tn?1359385569 Can someone help me with compiling a list of questions for the U of Wa appointment I have Thursday.Thans.Hi Rivka I will try to message you tommorrow Snow.
Avatar m tn Things for anxiety slow you down. Things for energy sometimes speed you up, increasing anxiety. Ashwagandha is usually a good choice. Eleuthero is often a good choice -- I take both. Perhaps you just need time to get used to it. I've never heard of Organic India, so I can't comment on the company. I would have bought it from Planetary Herbals just because it's an old herb company owned by herbalists who started before this became big business. I trust them.
Avatar f tn I've been getting some PM's requesting Gauf's list of HR's supplements. I googled to find it instead of using Medhelp's search and found it easily. . For around a year now we have been getting them prepackaged from Hepatitis Technologies with good results. I am not selling for them or anything. I am just saying these have worked out very well for us.
