There is a great website called care2.com. Just go to healthy living and search the recipes. You can specify vegan recipes. The majority of their recipes are vegetarian, but if you take it one step further and go for the vegan recipes, you'll be able to avoid the dairy and the eggs.

If weight conscious and diabetic start by lowering your carbohydrate intake. Eat organic whole grains, vegetables, fish and poultry, and fruits, and lean beef and pork. Avoid foods made with white flour; breads, crackers, pasta and white foods like rice and potatoes as these quickly turn into sugar after eating.

Spend your time cooking healthy, delicious recipes and eating food you take an interest in, instead of following your bad habits and eating without thinking.

Avatar f tn I was diabetic before pregnancy. And when I discovered I was pregnant I had to really watch what I ate. Eat 6 small meals a day. It helps you not become super hungry where you overload on stuff your not supposed to eat. I don't have and meal or snack ideas. I just load up on protein and watch my carbs. So for instance if it's tacos for dinner I would just change it up to a taco salad all the meat and cheese veggie fixings with a tortilla or a serving of rice on the side.

Avatar f tn I also found Hemp Milk at Whole Foods which is completely dairy, soy and salt free, in addition to salt free soups, chicken broth and other quick prep stuff. The diet is extremely restricted, but it's only for a limited time and for a very, very good reason.

Is there some easier way to add it into my food diary then adding all the ingredients and dividing by the percentage I had? Or without loosing information like I would if I added them as a day, then added the caloric, fat, and protein info into a new food. Am I missing something, or could this be a potential improvement to the food diary?
