Avatar f tn I love spicy food and continue to eat it (I am pregnant) I was reading some very interesting research about trying different foods and how it's healthy for the baby (except for food that's been put off the table like fish rich in mercury, raw eggs etc we have to stay away from the unsafe food during pregnancy) but other than that if ur tummy can handle it by all means eat spicy :) but make sure u are eating all the nutrients and minerals necessary as well.

Eat non-meat sources (soy products, nuts), low fat vegetarian combinations (rice & beans, pasta & beans, soy cheese & pasta, salads with nuts & seeds), substitute dairy products (low fat soy milk/soy yogurt), use plant oils, non trans-fat margarines, and eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Eat daily high fiber breads and cereals (oatmeal).

Avatar f tn This is actually how i found out that I was pregnant. Around five weeks I completely and totally lost my appetite and I felt like absolute crap. This is completely normal and won't affect your baby. Your baby will continue to take any nutrients it needs from your body - even if you feel like you don't even have them for yourself. I suggest getting really cozy with saltines and some flat ginger ale.

He may turn his nose up at first because you've already put this "spoiled" thing in motion but ignore it as long as he's drinking water he can go a day without food. He'll soon understand that he's NOT getting your food and will get hungry enough to eat his own. Good luck!

If you can make a shake you like and add these kinds of super foods -- bee pollen and royal jelly are two more -- you can pack a lot of nutrients in a little bit of food. That's one option. But I think the advice to see a holistic nutritionist is the best advice, since that way you can get a diet tailored to the foods richest in the nutrients most helpful to whatever it is you're suffering from.

Avatar f tn I ended tx about the same time as your sister but I was only on for 24 weeks. I can't imagine going longer. I felt good the first couple of days off the meds but after that I may have over worked myself on the holiday weekend as I am exhaused everyday no matter how much sleep I get...I have no brain...I don't feel much different now than I did on the meds. Along with fresh foods, I have started a complete body cleanse (just yesterday).

The myth that gum either doesn't digest or that it stays in your system for several years was probably created to keep children from swallowing it once they had it in their mouths. If your baby is not getting enough nourishment then it's likely that something is wrong with it or you aren't eating enough of the right kinds of foods.
Avatar f tn When I take Vitamin B MY throat and lips swell and they get red and get very painful it affects my breathing. My body hurts pain in the body. Also foods that have Vitamin B cause me same symptoms so many foods that I cant eat because of the reaction.

You can probably look at some of the recipes online. I know many kids that are picky eaters and hopefully this phase won't last. Good luck and let me know when you find something that works.
