Avatar f tn Hi, my name is Lisa. It takes a lot to openly admit that. I have struggled thru the years with shame and guilt over it. I struggled with bulimia throughout high school and then it got much worse during my first two years of college. Living on my own leaves a lot of open room to get away with my bulimic behaviors. I started to try and lose weight in a healthy way. And like you I def. did crave some of my former binge foods or foods that just weren't considered "healthy.
Avatar f tn Caffeine in small doses isn't bad for you, just have to say. If you get your heart rate up with it it's a problem. But the standard acceptable amount is 1 cup per day. Sugar you should avoid more for health than anything, but I know I've personally had cravings for only sweets and me and baby are doing fine-the key is moderation, and not having a lot of it.
Avatar m tn There are a lot of hidden sugars in foods. Try creating a food diary for a week and highlighting all the foods that contain sugar. It may be worth discussing your diet with your Dentist who will be able to offer more advice. Another good tip is to try chewing sugar free gum after meals and liminting sugary foods/drinks to just meal times. Only drink water or milk in between meals.
Avatar f tn Eating any type of food, and especially high glucose foods when having a hypoglycaemic attack would bring the sugar levels up. Although a sugary food may be needed immediately, it is important to have slow energy release foods. As body shakes can happen for a number of reasons, it is wise to get checked out by the doctor.

Avatar m tn The probiotic blend contains soil organisms. Sorry, it just does. Bacillus subtilis, for one. The other probiotics you mentioned, from yogurt and such, don't contain the organisms you think they do. Also, unless you're getting raw milk yogurt somewhere, yogurt too is pasteurized after fermentation, so to get live organisms in it you have to add them back in.

1629183 tn?1299616789 The best sources of iron are meat, poultry, fish, eggs, and iron-fortified foods (foods that have iron added) or dark leafy vegetables. If you don't eat enough of these daily, it can cause problems with not enough iron. Are you on any medication? Some can interfere with the absorption of iron. Also, some intestinal diseases can cause you not to absorb the needed amount of iron. The pediatric specialist should do testing to see what is causing your anemia.

Avatar f tn I had my visit at 11 weeks. But basically my first visit was about getting to know me and my health habits.
