Could the urinary infection or penicillin affect the test and is ten weeks long enough to test accuratly?I know 12 weeks is the usual time but do you think 10 weeks was good enough.

Now I am really freaking out that when he did the cervical exam, it caused the bacteria to go up my birth canal and will cause an uterine infection which will have bad consequences for my love bug.
I'm not mad about the exam, I realize it needed to be done incase the infection was causing preterm labor. My question is 2 fold.
One if my cervix is closed, does that mean he couldn't get his finger up my cervical canal?
On 12/13/11 I felt sick, no fever scratchy throat ear pain and headache. Doctor diagnosed me with pharyngitis/strep. I was given antibiotics for ten days. After about a week on them I developed a yeast infection and white tongue. I retested at 7 weeks ELISA HIV 1/2 ab test. It was negative. Sore throat continues but its off and and and ear pain. Retested one more time at 9.5 weeks with rapid oraquick HIV 1/2 ab finger prick test. Again negative.
Hey there, About seventeen days ago I engaged in low risk behaviour, performing and recieving oral fro another man. Earlier that day my throat was beginning to become sore, but after that encounter y throat has been sore for the past seventeen days and I've had some pain in my knee as well as swelling in the muscle near the webbing between my thumb and index finger. I've been tested for a whole range of stds, but nothing has come back positive yet.
Five weeks later I got sick with pharyngitis/strep. Took anitbiotics developed yeast infection and white tongue. No fever at all. Tested for HIV at 25 days, 7, 9.5, 11, weeks and now 89(1 day short)days. All were negative. Am I considered conclusive? I'm still having symptoms now I have pain in finger joints with swelling, fatigue, and bronchitis symptoms. Can extreme stress delay antibody production?

Hi, the symptoms described could be due to an infection, most probably streptococcal or a viral infection. Strep sore throat needs to be treated with an antibiotic as strep is a bacteria. Viral sore throat is best treated with rest, warm oral fluids and (OTC) tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen for pain.
I may be completely wrong and just have strep throat or the early stages of pneumonia (some of my friends have both of those, and I've been around them in the last few days), but I figured I would ask on here. I'm not sure what the typical time frame is for symptoms to appear, and I read that gonorrhea of the throat is typically asymptomatic.
it's a Strep, not Staph, infection. I know that Amox. is used to treat strep infections... we'll see if it works. I'll get restested in a few weeks.

m not sure that is what would of caused you to miscarry though. Strep b is a bacterial infection that can cause problems if left untreated when you deliver. I haven't heard it to cause any complications during the actual pregnancy but I could be wrong. What they do is when you go to deliever your baby they put antibiotics in your iv 4 hours before you give birth to prevent it going to the baby. As long as you get the antibiotics the chance of it passing is extremely slim.
I recently, 1 1/2 months ago, had a severe strep aureus infection in my arm. I had vancomycin IV 2x day for 7 days. I had severe cellulitis with it. Now I am experiencing severe pain and numbness in my hand and arm. The 4th and 5th finger of my right hand are numb with pain. The pain goes up my arm. It is waking me up at night. In the wrist portion of my hand, it seems to be "caving" in somewhat. The pain in the back of my hand and wrist are the worst. What can I do about the pain?
For the last six months I keep getting some sort of infection on my ring finger where my wedding bands are. It is a ring all the way around my finger that is red in color, itchy, sometimes there are clear fluid filled blisters, and then when it starts to heal it becomes dry and peels. Differentials here may include dishydrosis and a fungal infection. Fungal infection involving the finger nails is referred to as onychomycosis and they may cause some changes on the finger nails. If discharge is present in the area, then you may have the discharge cultured. The results of the culture will help determine the causative organism. This will help guide treatment later on. Applying topical antifungal cream with corticosteroid preparation will be able to help.
Do you have an LLMD? I would ask him or her, they may switch your Lyme meds temporarily if they aren't a good match for what the PCP wants to give you or ask your PCP to talk to the LLMD and work together on it. I worked for doctors in another life and that was done often. Good luck.
If it’s not treated, a finger pulp infection can cause a number of complications like spreading of the infection to the bone of the finger causing osteomyelitis, skin necrosis, septic arthritis and tenosynovitis (when the infection spreads to the sheath that surrounds the tendons in your finger). Hence my sincere suggestion would be to get it evaluated from a specialist and get the above mentioned treatment.

I got one rapid test,the test was negative and met lot of people..handshake..etc.After 4 days i got strep throat with lit fever,heat wave and burning head..I got antibiotic,2 days later just my throat its sensitive..I would like ask for you,was any risk for me?

Over the course of the day my symptoms worsened, I had a severly sore throat, swollen glands, headache, all of my joints ached but mot my muscles and had no fever. The next day I saw my family doctor. He tested for strep, (test was negative). He said my lungs sounded good, no sinus problems and blood pressure was fine. Said he had no idea what it was. I was instructed to take Ibuprofen and chloriseptic spray for thoat to help with pain.
If she is HIV positive and I happen to have a hangnail on my finger, what is the risk I catch HIV? Will presence of blood in addition to secretion increase infection risk?
