i have just had the worst stomach virus i have ever experienced. for 16 hours i was constantly being sick every thirty minutes. dr's were about to admit me to hospital when i stopped being sick. i;m 9 weeks pregnant, does anyone know if this will affect my baby.

I am 20 wks n 2 days and I have a stomach virus. I can't keep anything down. I am constantly vomiting. Will this affect the baby?

Everytime i eat i get the feeling as if i would jave a stomach virus not nausea like in the first trimester its not horribke but makes me not want to eat could it be something else im 30 weeks

Ooo gosh everyone in my house has a stomach virus, really worried about my 1yr old, she's not eating anything only sips on water, also worry I might caych it. .that would be no good. I'm 38wks today! !!

( Woke up with a sick little one today and then after lunch started getting any upset stomach headache back ache and having to have frequent regular bowel movements. I hate stomach viruses:( On top of that got the flu shot yesterday so I am achy from that too and I haven't ate but once today bc food sounds horrid. Anyone else going through this while pregnant?

The symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting, low grade fever up to 100 degrees and possible cramps are caused by many things, virus or bacterial. However, the most common cause is a virus called Norovirus. It is spead from person to person by fecal oral contamination.

It could still be a stomach virus, however, it could be a bacteria or even parasite. I recenlty had a stomach virus that lasted about 7-8 days. Have you ever been tested for or diagnosed with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)? Your headaches could very well be a sign of dehydration - with all the diarrhea, you can get dehydrated pretty quickly. Be sure and stay well hydrated - water, ginger ale, sports type drinks are all good.

As long as you don't have a high grade fever then your baby isn't in any danger. It's just no fun for you to be sick and pregnant. Sorry hun!

ve cleaned everything in the house so I was wondering if it was a stomach virus should I be safe from catching it again by now?

I'm 6 months pregnant and I believe I have a stomach virus. I've been up since 3 am with diarrhea and throwing up non-stop. I've called my primary care doctor 3 times with no answer and I have an appointment tomorrow with my OB doctor. What can I do or should I do in the mean time?

So since 6 this morning I have been puking unable to keep anything down including water. I am pretty sure it's a virus but I'm scared that I am already dehydrated. I feel very light headed and my stomach hurts from puking. I just called my doctor waiting on a response back. Have any of you experienced this and they told you to go to the ER? Hoping it's not that serious. I even took my nausea medicine and it didn't help.

Then by the first of this month it hit me pretty hard my symptoms where, that pressure in my head was getting worse, not able to sleep much, stomach pain, diarrhea, not much of an appetite but I ate cause it help the stomach pain go away. So that lasted for about five days, during that time I took some Benadryl because I thought I had a sinus infection but it didn't help much it just put me to sleep.

I had a blood transfusion in 1976 while giving birth to my last child (placenta previa), the baby lived for three days,and my liver tests were always normal until this past March. I went for my first routine colonoscopy and the GI was suspicious about the results of my blood work and sent me out for more. DX with hep c 1a. I am now 56 and I can only guess that was when I was exposed. Although, you never know for sure.

Hi, I'm due August 15th with my second child and during my first pregnancy I never had this problem so I'm a little worried. Last night I woke up because I was having really bad stomach pains and it lasted about 20mins and I passed back out. So I'm 17 weeks and four days pregnant, first time. So I got really sick with a virus last friday, and I was throwing up non stop and diarrhea from about seven pm to about three am. So since then, my stomach has been rumbling, but not bc I'm hungry. Just out of the blue it will start to do it. So I just wanted to know if this kind of thing is normal?

Sorry for the TMI but this is my second day with terrible diareha (sp?). I have no other symptoms. My stomach doesn't hurt, no vomiting, no nausea, no other symptoms other than not being about to be away from a bathroom. Its ridiculous. Does this happen in pregnancy or maybe a virus? Again, i dont have any other symptoms.
