Common Questions and Answers about Sonata sleep aid

sonata

Avatar f tn Have you tried Ambien or Sonata? I take Ambien (have been on it for about 4 years) - some nights it works well and others it's like I've taken a tic tac - but there are nights when nothing short of getting hit over the head with a hammer is going to help me sleep! I used to be on the CR version of the Ambien, until my insurance decided it wasn't going to cover that formula any longer, so now I'm back to the 10mg dose.
Avatar m tn Hi peoples. Back again, sorry. I see that you good folks know something about sleeping problems. I've had those for years. Can't get to sleep, then in the morning don't want to wake up. I don't mean I don't get "unsleepy", I mean consciousness isn't to be desired. That's a different thing.
Avatar f tn My Dr has me on Sinequan. Sinequan for sleep???? It isnt even helping the anxiety attacks let a long putting me to sleep. And everytime I go back for appt they just increase the dose. Why cant they give me a real sleeping pill like Sonata?? I am very frustrated and getting pretty crabby cause Im soooo sleepy!! I dont even want to be around myself right now let along others.
Avatar n tn Everyone is different and I think even times are different - for years I would read to no avail - taking Valium,or whatever the current popular sleep aid of the day was, as the only way I could sleep. So I guess my advice is hang in there and keep trying to find something that works for you - talk to your doctor about medicine options but know that sometimes adding relaxation techniques, book reading... or game playing.. may be helpful too.
Avatar f tn A good natural sleep aid is camomile tea. In some stores (like Walmart) it is even called sleepy time tea, Im 12w6d and it really helped me on those restless nights and its all natural.
Avatar f tn I just switched to 3rd shift and I'm finding it difficult to sleep enough during the day. Is there a sleep aid that I can safely take while pregnant. I'm currently 14 weeks if that makes any difference.
1580703 tn?1651904887 I started clonezepam for my sleep apnea, I twitch all the time in my leg/arm before I fall asleep and I seem to have slept well even without bipap once I felt this urge to write something and I started twitching like I had a seizure for a few minutes
Avatar n tn re having trouble falling asleep or going back to sleep if you wake up during the night. My doc prescribed Sonata. Amusingly, it works great as a placebo: I haven't taken a single pill yet; just knowing it's there if I need it has been enough so far. Good luck!
Avatar m tn Hello all ! I am back after a few days of rest and detoxing (11 days now!). And i feel really great today!! I'm still a little worried about sleeping though. Anyone have any sleep aid suggestions? Something OTC. I took my last clonidine last night, and am trying not to think about losing sleep tonight.
Avatar f tn I've been suffering from insomnia for a few years now. Been prescribed almost every sleep aid available; the OTC's are of no benefit, and the sleep aids I have been prescribed have not been beneficial either because my tolerance to controlled substances is so high due to medicinal treatment for other chronic illnesses. Can anyone suggestion a sleep aid that has helped them achieve more than 1-1/2-2 hours of continuous sleep?
Avatar m tn I've searched the web and here and no really good answer. I'm taking a Sonata about 3 or 4 oclock in the morning. It does cause some jitters next day. Now I've started Sam-e and a Super Beta Complex and the Jitters are unbearable. I take some Xanax and it helps some. I can't take much and still function. The question is ... Is it the Sam-e or the Super B Complex causing the extreme jitters or anxiety?
Avatar f tn I am depressed over this as well as postpartum issues and have just been put on Celexa for anxiety and depression as well as Sonata for sleep by a recommended psychiatrist. The Sonata is too short-acthing though. I called the doc on call but he does not want to prescribe anything stronger until tomorrow, if adding melatonin and/or benadryl does not help. I am currently wearing a holter monitor and have also worn en event monitor recently.
Avatar f tn I take melatonin when I cannot sleep, which is a natural sleep aid and it actually really helps me. Maybe you could try to find some sort of natural sleep aid that will help you? Also I have only lasted 17 days as my longest time sober, but during those 17 days on the 17th day I was actually able to fall asleep on my own and get about 5 hr sleep, but the best part was that my restless legs were no longer restless lol. Good luck to you and keep fighting, ten days is great!
Avatar f tn You can try taking Melatonin. It is a natural sleep aid that you can find in your local vitamin aisle.
