Is it ok to drink slim fast while pregnant? I have gained too much weight so far. I started out tiny and now my mid section is huge! I'm not looking to lose weight but eating hurts. My lower back is in excruciating pain and I know it's from the weight gain and due to my belly sticking so far out. I'm only 25 weeks pregnant and I feel the only option is to eat tiny meals to keep up my energy because after I eat my stomach feels so tight b it just hurts.
I'm considering lap-band surgery to lose the extra weight that I've gained over last 30 years. I was born with only one kidney. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 2 years ago. And my doctor just added a second high blood pressure medication as my bp was getting out of control. I am worried that my only kidney will be damaged. Can I qualify for medically needed weight reduction surgery?

Now I take benefiber X 2 per day and activa. I eat meat only a couple times per week,I only eat meat when I am relaxed. My major sources of protein is cheese.
I had lap band surgery about 2 years ago. I have lost over 100 pounds. I exercise 4-5 times a week for approximately 90 minutes. I do cardio, water aerobics, wt. training, spinning, yoga, body pump, and "boot camp" training. My biggest problems continue to be that I still use food as my drug of choice and have a problem feeling satisfied when I can't eat enough to medicate my pain.

In August of 2006 I had the lap band put in and I was almost 300 lbs. I had my lap band put in and am now 189 lbs. Now that said, I had my lap band removed 2 weeks ago. I followed all the rules that should get you healthy and keep you healthy with the lap band inside you. But the side effects of the lap band had a drastic negative effect on my body to the point of me having it taken out. For the past 3 to 4 years the toilet has become my best friend.
I'm 24, 5'7", 204 lbs currently. I recently (since March) have lost 20 lbs through diet and exercise but it seems like I'm at a stand still, and in the last week I have actually gained a pound and a half even though my diet and exercise regimen has not changed.
I am considering having the lap band surgery. I am on 75mg Levothroxine. I continue to gain weight. I went to a weight loss center and only lost water weight. I spent several of dollars each month but could not keep the weight off. Have anyone been successful with the lap band surgery having thyroid disorder?
Before I gained the pregnancy weight Woth my second I couldn't gain or lose. As far as I know the lap band isn't covered by ohip but bypass is. I don't know the process & I only see a nurse practitioner so they aren't supportive or much help. Idk what to do.
