Female For someone who is trying to lose weight and already is somewhat overweight, this will translate into fat. Try meal replacement bars instead. Those are often anywhere from 100 to 200 calories and are tastier and just as filling. Watch the sugar on anything, though. I kind of liked the texture of the bar but would have eaten it just to get eating out of the way.
Avatar f tn I agree that this is a scheduling issue, but it's not necessarily a health issue, except when you aren't eating at all... that's not good. Even if you can't do it regularly, try to at least go for a jog around your block once or twice a week or do workout videos (like the well-known P90X videos) that are quick to whip you into shape at home. As for meal plans, combining complex carbs and protein is your best bet for gaining muscle.

326352 tn?1310994295 Meal replacement shakes blended with low fat milk or soy milk and some banana or frozen peaches makes a great nutritious and delicious breakfast. Protein bars can replace fat-filled snacks. If you replace two meals a day with the shakes and eat one colorful meal, with protein snacks in between, you will lose weight and keep it off. Once your weight is down to your goal weight, you can eat 2 meals a day and replace one with a shake, keeping the protein snacks in between.
