I just like the amount of nutrients in the form of chocolate milk i can get! Makes a great difference if I need a boost before working out or just need something to keep me going while I make dinner. ^_^ Anyways, some of them certainly don't taste very good. My favorite so far comes from Wal-Mart.

But lunch meat or peanut butter and jelly that they can make themselves, and hey, I'm not above ramen noodles as they can now boil water. But try to keep eating in a pattern. My boys eat regular meals and then have snacks and I do try to avoid constant eating all day long.

There are a few recipes on his website. Right now I am using the Ultimate Breakfast Smoothie. It tastes awesome and it actually keeps me full for over 6 hours. I have zero cravings for food and sweets. I've cut back my dinner portion.

Studies show that intermittent fasting is not harmful as long as you're eating healthy food when you do eat. Some studies show that limiting your food intake to certain hours of the day is actually better for you.

1968463 tn?1374757813 What I may do, is just make sure to also eat small meals with my meds. Or, I can do what I know works....slim fast shakes two times a day and good sensibel meal for dinnner. I honestly think that it is more the feeling bad and not being as active as normal that has me gaining weight. i just dont think that I want to go so extreme while dealing with everything else I have going on. I think that it would just be impossible for me too do anyway.

Avatar f tn another thing that helps me make it between meals is to make a slim fast shake. they are meant to replace meals so they have lots of protein and other nutrients. it helps me make it from lunch to dinner and then often I eat less at dinner because I'm still full!
Avatar f tn Welcome to the community. Try walking at a reasonable pace. Also look into yoga as it's low impact and done at a slow very deliberate pace. Be sure to watch what you eat as well - might also help the e-coli infection.
Avatar f tn I just remind myself that once my baby gets here how would I handle her eating habits? I wouldn't want to give her fast food all the time or pre-made meals because it's not nutritious. So that gives me motivation to get up and cook even though I don't feel like it. Trust me, I know how you feel. Plus, I've always hated cooking lol. But it's not all about me anymore.

Trying my best to put weight on but it's hard for me. So I came across homemade protien bars. made from oats,protien powder, peanut butter,almonds,milk, honey,chocolate, almonds and I decided to add in a multivitamin crushed into the flatjack mix. Isn't much fiber tho.

Avatar f tn I Failed my first glucose test. My sugar was 143 and supposed to be 140. So I have to go back for the 3 hour one. The doctor told me that the 3 days prior to my next test I have to eat 2 candy bars or a bowl of ice cream with every meal, every day. That's 18 full size candy bars in 3 days.... Huh?! Has anyone else been told this?
Avatar m tn when you eat a carb (yes fruits are carbs) eat it with a protein. An apple with a cheese stick or peanut butter. Find KIND bars at walmart. They are almost like eating a candy bar (I buy the dark chocolate ones) only 17g of carbs and only like 6 ingredients in them. A very good snack. I eat every two to three hours. The nutritionist said to try to stay around 45g of carbs for each meal and 15-20g for snacks depending on how many you eat each day. I eat 3 meals and 2-3 snacks a day. Good luck!

Avatar f tn Oat meal can be cooked in about 2 minutes, is very healthy and keeps you full until lunch... no better choice in my opinion.
Avatar f tn Just wanted to add that I, and a friend of mine, too, upon first trying Slim Fast thought there was magic in the shake, and thought we could eat whatever we wanted and take the shake and it would somehow do the work for you. Heh, well I learned you can't do a meal and a shake and that the secret is that it is about 200 calories per can, and it fills you up with protein, vitamins and minerals, so you don't get hungry.
