In my opinion all those diet pills lose weight fast etc there all not good foryou nor do they have a long term affect in order to keep the weight off you will proly have to contine with taking them.
Slim Fast was getting difficult to stay on track. I found myself cheating on the diet. My friend told me about the protien shake that Dr. Oz uses. There are a few recipes on his website. Right now I am using the Ultimate Breakfast Smoothie. It tastes awesome and it actually keeps me full for over 6 hours. I have zero cravings for food and sweets. I've cut back my dinner portion.
Actually, I have tried a LOT of different fasts over the years, and the most comfortable and most effective I've ever done is the "lemonade fast", or "lemonade diet." You can google it and get the recipe...It's amazing, and weight comes off really fast. I have a low blood sugar problem, but did not have problems on this fast.
any tips on cravings.. im not on slim-fast but it is a shakes and soup diet... also any exercise tips for being quite obese... the thought of doing anything like the biggest loser makes me feel sick.. something gentle but effective... any takers?
What are the long term effects of this type of weight loss and is it That badforyou to be on for a short while? Is using Adderall for weight-loss worse? So many "get thin" fast gimics out there and I just want to know the harmful aspects of using these types of products. Thank you!

Try walking at a reasonable pace. Also look into yoga as it's low impact and done at a slow very deliberate pace.
Be sure to watch what you eat as well - might also help the e-coli infection.

I agree with kimmit that you need a variety of foods - there's a reason for the food pyramids, etc. We really do need all of that stuff.
Protein is important to a healthy diet, but you must have the proper vitamins/enzymes to break it down.

"Fat Flush" is a detox diet, much like a fasting regime. "Slim-Fast" is not a natural product. I am getting confused by the terse dismissals being offered to people who have come here for support.
First off, there is no healthy way to drop pounds fast. When you lose weight, you want to do it slowly in order to keep the pounds off and have the weight loss last. Second, according to your weight tracker status on your profile, you are already in a healthy weight range, so why are you trying to lose more weight? It's not healthy to go below a certain weight and your body needs many nutrients, especially as a growing teen.

m on a restricted, low fat (no fried food, greasy food, fast food, peanut butter, and CHOCOLATE) diet bc my gallbladder and I can't have surgery till may when my son is born, so I crave anything & everything imaginable!
Fasting is BAD BAD BAD it's a sure fire way to gain twice the weight back once you resume you're nornal eating. Not to mention to other health issues that may arise because of fasting. Never fast no matter how much you want to loose weight.

I eat a yogurt everyday cus i know that helps and i make a pretty good supper what i can anyways i dont have a stove yet. The South Beach Diet is a diet that is low in carbs and bad fats. If you google South Beach Diet it will give you plenty of info. The diet encourages healthy balanced eating and if you stick with it, you can really see some results.
