six-pack

Avatar n tn It takes some time for the weight loss to occur, but it is mostly the result of changing your diet. Change to low carb, high fat and protien diet. Get rid of sugar and gluten.
Avatar f tn I need a good workout plan for me without having to visit a gym. Are there any good, trustworthy and up-to-date sites that I can save to keep going back to do these exercises over and over each day? Or would anyone have any suggestions on where to begin?
Avatar f tn For me, hard work hard physical labor such as yard work, lifting, perhaps building a wall with stone ... this was the type of work that got me a six pack, but at the same time I was losing weight for a health problem (Celiac) so my body fat got low.
Avatar f tn Diet is # 1! women have four abdominal muscles. Your ab workout has to be done very slow! Only diet and exercise can get rid of the fat that covers them. For women in particular, belly fat is an issue that gets more challenging with age. But even with flat abs, to build strong sculpted muscles requires eating a balance diet. The diet should include proteins, whole grains, fruits and vegetables and limiting or avoiding refined foods and sugars.
Avatar m tn Before i was fat, but now i became thin, but now i feel weak, and i want to have a really good physique. I want to change my workout and diet but the desire of having 6 pack abs is forcing me to keep on going on the same diet (which is starving myself). So my main point here is that i want someone to guide me. I dont want to be thin i want to be ripped. I want to like go on the beach and to feel confident that i have a good shaped and ripped body.
Avatar n tn We don't actually make up a diet for you, because I don't know what's available where you live... but I can tell you that 1000 calories/day is not enough for someone your size because you need more than that just to keep for your resting metabolism. Also, you won't stay healthy very long by eating only eggs, potatoes and bread, because there are not nearly enough nutrients...
Avatar f tn m thinking YWCA, or similar. First thing you should do is get a workout partner. Nothing makes you stick to a plan like a partner that wants it too. The local gym/YWCA may have fitness classes and or exercise plans designed for your needs. Check it out before you get discouraged.
Avatar n tn However, the length of time it takes to get-six pack abs depends upon your gender, how consistently you train and whether or not you have an excess amount of body fat. Strength train consistently and follow a hypertrophy, or muscle building, program. That's a high frequency of training sessions, with each session being of high volume. Rectus abdominus muscles like all muscles in your body require a rest from strength training, so allow 48 hours of recovery time between training sessions.
Avatar f tn I exercise 6 days a week, and keep control my diet around 1500 - 1800 cal per day. I am a active woman in 41 & 165cm. I have started my exercise and diet plan almost 3 years, at the first six months, I lost from 140lbs to 118lbs (all time low). And I keep working hard but my weight is going back and off, around 120 - 125lbs. Recently I start the wii game (Active), and do more weight/resistant training in my daily exercise.
Avatar n tn For a six-pack to show, you must reduce body fat. The body fat percentage necessary to reveal a cut torso varies according to your genes and body type, but for most men, a percentage of 6 to 8 percent will reveal abs, while for women require a percentage of about 11 to 13 percent. To reduce body fat, reduce calories below what you burn daily, which can be determined by finding your basal metabolic rate. A 250- to 500- deficit daily will lead to a 1/2- to 1-pound weight loss in a week.

Avatar f tn About six months ago, I was short on food and lost about 30 lb. 5'8", went from 190 to 160 in about two months. During the initial weight loss, I experienced easy bruising, joint pain, weak bones, lightheadedness, muscle loss, weakness, low temperature etc. I also experienced fever and brown urine after intense exercise (which is one of my main issue as of right now).
Avatar n tn We all know that no amount of sit-ups or crunches will give you a six- pack! A six-pack is the result of a clean diet as stated above, low body fat and hard, hard training. Crunches are what I consider a good "finisher" at the end of your core training, poor form often results in not much else than a sore neck. Instead, work your core with dynamic stabilizing moves.
Avatar f tn These workout videos on Amazon, they had a 3 dvd pack which incl. A pilates video, a yoga video and a simple workout to slim and tone. Im pretty excited, and im gonna try em out tomorrow! I usually dont take the effort to do anything but this is my 2nd preg.
Avatar m tn Aside indulging in moderate amounts of physical exercise it is also essential to maintain a healthy diet plan. A healthy diet should consist of adequate amounts of carbohydrates, proteins, fat and plenty of fruits and vegetables to supply vitamins and minerals. Start with a healthy breakfast, moderate lunch and light dinner. I would also suggest a change in your exercise regimen. You may rotate between a gym, swimming, yoga, aerobics, jogging, cycling etc.
Avatar f tn It just takes a lot of discipline, and you have to be willing to take it to the extreme! Diet is a major factor!! Avoid deep fried foods, processed foods, refined foods and foods high in saturated fats. Eat foods that are nutrient-dense, high in fiber and low in fat, eat lean meats, low fat dairy, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts and legumes. No liquid calories.
Avatar m tn These stretch marks are affecting my bodybuilding and my well being. My self consience with my shirt off is at a all time high even though I had a six pack. I've applied cocoa lotion, bio oil, you name it I've tried it..nothing works :(.. Any help would be fantastic!
Avatar m tn No matter how many ab exercises you do, it won't show until the layer of fat is gone. Crunches and flutter kicks may give you six pack and but they won't show. Cardio helps burn fat and will remove that layer right off your belly. Anything that can get you heart pumping is cardio so make it fun! Dance fast to an upbeat song. Do jumping jacks. Run in place or just run. Look up at home cardio workouts for some fun ideas. Zumba is a great cardio workout.
Avatar n tn We don't really do diet plans, but you can do that via the Diet Diary app... it will help you figure out the number of calories you need/day, plus the amount of protein, carbs, fat, etc... Focus on lean protein, healthful fats, veggies...
Avatar f tn At the end of the week, count the number of meals that you ate according to your plan, divide that by the total number of meals, snacks, and workout shakes you had planned, and multiply by 100. If you hit 90 percent or more, nice work. If you didn't hit at least 90 percent, then your efforts should be dedicated to working on your dietary plan rather than troubleshooting physiological roadblocks to your weight loss.
