Avatar n tn It takes some time for the weight loss to occur, but it is mostly the result of changing your diet. Change to low carb, high fat and protien diet. Get rid of sugar and gluten.
Avatar f tn Be careful to eat balanced diet. Avoid taking sugars and fat in your diet. Losing weight is a slow process and issued not expect body changes before 2 to 3 months. I hope this helps.
Avatar f tn ve done tons of research about stomach fat and the best way to burn it is by a balanced diet and by drinking a lot of water and engaging in both cardio and strength training, but is there anything else? i workout usually everyday, at the least 5 times a week, very rarely 4. I eat quite heathy, taking in a lot of fruits and vegetables and trying to watch my serving sizes and portions.
Avatar f tn To lower your body fat percentage, choose lean protein and vegetables as your staples, and good fats (omega 3s and 6s) in moderation. Limit or avoid altogether sugar and simple carbs (including beer!), while doing 30-60 minutes of cardio 3-to-5 times a week. In conjunction to cardio, crunches (front and side crunches) and weight lifting will build lean muscle and speed your metabolism. The more disciplined you are, the faster you will see results. All the best.
Avatar m tn Before i was fat, but now i became thin, but now i feel weak, and i want to have a really good physique. I want to change my workout and diet but the desire of having 6 pack abs is forcing me to keep on going on the same diet (which is starving myself). So my main point here is that i want someone to guide me. I dont want to be thin i want to be ripped. I want to like go on the beach and to feel confident that i have a good shaped and ripped body.
Avatar n tn t to just lose weight, Im going for the athletic body and hopefully a six pack in three months. So my main goal is to gain muscle and lose fat simultaneously.

Avatar m tn Try Dr. Furhman's Nutritarian plant based diet. and Eliminate white stuff. Its not really a diet its a way of life. Eating more veges/fruit and less meats will really make a different in your life. Eat the recommended GBOMBS. I keep meat eating for special ocassions and weekends in moderation. I love bacon and red meat, but I leave that for a sunday or saturday and in moderation. :) You will really see a difference. I hope this helps.
3075809 tn?1355081008 I do hope to lose quite a bit breastfeeding though, then after I am done breastfeeding (6months to a year) then I plan on just eating healthier and less all together, taking my baby for walks in her stroller and working out with husband!
Avatar n tn However, the length of time it takes to get-six pack abs depends upon your gender, how consistently you train and whether or not you have an excess amount of body fat. Strength train consistently and follow a hypertrophy, or muscle building, program. That's a high frequency of training sessions, with each session being of high volume. Rectus abdominus muscles like all muscles in your body require a rest from strength training, so allow 48 hours of recovery time between training sessions.
Avatar f tn I exercise 6 days a week, and keep control my diet around 1500 - 1800 cal per day. I am a active woman in 41 & 165cm. I have started my exercise and diet plan almost 3 years, at the first six months, I lost from 140lbs to 118lbs (all time low). And I keep working hard but my weight is going back and off, around 120 - 125lbs. Recently I start the wii game (Active), and do more weight/resistant training in my daily exercise.
Avatar n tn For a six-pack to show, you must reduce body fat. The body fat percentage necessary to reveal a cut torso varies according to your genes and body type, but for most men, a percentage of 6 to 8 percent will reveal abs, while for women require a percentage of about 11 to 13 percent. To reduce body fat, reduce calories below what you burn daily, which can be determined by finding your basal metabolic rate. A 250- to 500- deficit daily will lead to a 1/2- to 1-pound weight loss in a week.

Avatar f tn About six months ago, I was short on food and lost about 30 lb. 5'8", went from 190 to 160 in about two months. During the initial weight loss, I experienced easy bruising, joint pain, weak bones, lightheadedness, muscle loss, weakness, low temperature etc. I also experienced fever and brown urine after intense exercise (which is one of my main issue as of right now).
Avatar m tn For the last 4 years I have been lifting weights and trying to following a low carb diet plan. My day starts out at 0400 when I hit the gym for my workout. At this time in the morning my BGL is usually 103-113. After my workout my BGL is about 15-20 points higher. Is this normal??
Avatar n tn We all know that no amount of sit-ups or crunches will give you a six- pack! A six-pack is the result of a clean diet as stated above, low body fat and hard, hard training. Crunches are what I consider a good "finisher" at the end of your core training, poor form often results in not much else than a sore neck. Instead, work your core with dynamic stabilizing moves.

Avatar m tn Aside indulging in moderate amounts of physical exercise it is also essential to maintain a healthy diet plan. A healthy diet should consist of adequate amounts of carbohydrates, proteins, fat and plenty of fruits and vegetables to supply vitamins and minerals. Start with a healthy breakfast, moderate lunch and light dinner. I would also suggest a change in your exercise regimen. You may rotate between a gym, swimming, yoga, aerobics, jogging, cycling etc.
Avatar f tn It just takes a lot of discipline, and you have to be willing to take it to the extreme! Diet is a major factor!! Avoid deep fried foods, processed foods, refined foods and foods high in saturated fats. Eat foods that are nutrient-dense, high in fiber and low in fat, eat lean meats, low fat dairy, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts and legumes. No liquid calories.
Avatar m tn The stretch marks just continue to get worse. I am applying lotion every day and I have a very good diet. I get my necessary nutrients and calories in every day. I can't figure out what else I could do to prevent the stretch marks from getting worse. Does anyone have an idea for me? I don't understand why I am so prone to stretch marks. They just keep appearing and the ones I already have are getting wider.
Avatar m tn No matter how many ab exercises you do, it won't show until the layer of fat is gone. Crunches and flutter kicks may give you six pack and but they won't show. Cardio helps burn fat and will remove that layer right off your belly. Anything that can get you heart pumping is cardio so make it fun! Dance fast to an upbeat song. Do jumping jacks. Run in place or just run. Look up at home cardio workouts for some fun ideas. Zumba is a great cardio workout.
Avatar f tn re sticking to your diet plan and getting adequate sleep, and your still at a standstill for a couple weeks, then make some food changes.
