Common Questions and Answers about Six pack diet exercise plan

six-pack

Avatar f tn if anyone knows ways to get me motivated and/or an exercise plan that I could start off at and gradually increase please tell me. can anyone help!?
Avatar n tn We all know that no amount of sit-ups or crunches will give you a six- pack! A six-pack is the result of a clean diet as stated above, low body fat and hard, hard training. Crunches are what I consider a good "finisher" at the end of your core training, poor form often results in not much else than a sore neck. Instead, work your core with dynamic stabilizing moves.
Avatar m tn First you're only 16 so you're still growing. But understand this! The steps to get the low body fat levels necessary to show six-pack abs are very, very strict than those you'd have to do to drop a few pounds and reach a healthy weight and, may not even be possible, depending on your genetic makeup. A six-pack is when your body fat level is low enough to reveal the segments that divide your front sheath of muscle fibers on your torso.
Avatar n tn Hi Everyone, I have been trying these for months and months but it doesn’t help me anymore. I am talking about six pack abs that I am trying to get. I joined a gym for this and the trainer told me that I would get them…but NOOOO!! That did not help me and later on I have tried a few tips that I have been suggested by my friends but that also was of no use (the whole thing helped the abs a little…but not as I wanted).
Avatar f tn Exercises to pull in your tranverse abdominals (think of those as a corset around your core, the rectus abdominals are those which make a six pack) are planks (side and pushup position), isometric holds (think holding a pullup bar and pulling your legs up straight and holding for a few seconds at a time). But focus on your diet to get rid of stubborn belly fat. Cardio will also help shed the excess fat. Try walking on an incline for 20 mins, then build to jogging intervals for 20.
Avatar n tn For a six-pack to show, you must reduce body fat. The body fat percentage necessary to reveal a cut torso varies according to your genes and body type, but for most men, a percentage of 6 to 8 percent will reveal abs, while for women require a percentage of about 11 to 13 percent. To reduce body fat, reduce calories below what you burn daily, which can be determined by finding your basal metabolic rate. A 250- to 500- deficit daily will lead to a 1/2- to 1-pound weight loss in a week.
Avatar f tn m afraid my new diet plan is not helping. I now eat alot of fruits and veggie and only have one serving of meat a day (usually a chicken cutlet the size of my palm). I run almost every alternate day and cycle occasionally. The average distance I run each time is between 5km to 7km; sometimes 8km on a good day. I usually complete my 5km runs in 40-45 minutes. Do you think I need to increase my meat intake to build more muscles so I can burn off more fat?? Thank You.

714220 tn?1230600824 We tend to stick mostly with diet and exercise here in order to make lifestyle changes to keep off whatever weight we lose. You might try Weight Loss Alternatives - I'm sure someone there could help you. Good Luck.
332074 tn?1229560525 I have worked out for three years straight. 5 nights a week. 1 hour of cardio and 1 hour weights. Yet I have not lost any weight. I have been dianosised with high blood preasure, thyroid problems, insulin resisstance and just did get diagnosised with sleep apnea. My problem is, I have sooo many food allergies that alot of the foods that are good for a diet, I can't eat. Is there anyway I can achieve weightloss with the foods that I can eat?
Avatar f tn Be careful to eat balanced diet. Avoid taking sugars and fat in your diet. Losing weight is a slow process and issued not expect body changes before 2 to 3 months. I hope this helps.
Avatar n tn Make sure you get some exercise since exercise builds muscle and muscle burns fat. Any type of exercise will do, as long as it's something you enjoy and will stick with.
Avatar f tn It could have been the pill, but since you had a period since the pill I doubt that was it either. A lot can mess up your cycle. Changing your exercise, or diet, and stress. Sometimes women just don't ovulate and don't have a period. I would give it more time and if you still don't have a period talk to a Dr. They may be able to put you on birth control or something to get you regular again.
Avatar m tn A push-up not only helps you to get a stronger upper body, but also a stronger midsection. It incorporates the stabilization muscles of your core, combining an upper-body pushing movement with a plank. It is, in fact, one of the best and most basic exercises for your midsection. Push-ups are a higher value plank.
Avatar f tn Dieting is probably a no. Eatong healthy is a yes, but make sure you eat often so you get all of the nutrition you need in a day. Exercise should be limited until you talk to your doctor. Every body is different. I am 7 weeks, and i am not allowed to exercise because i have a past of anemia. So, just either call your triage nurse or ask at your first appointment!
Avatar f tn re still young so you better be mindful of what you eat and see to it that they are healthy and good. With mindful eating, you can discipline yourself until you eventually go into a certain diet plan.
Avatar m tn I am basically posting to see if what I am saying is true, do you indeed need a diet plan tailored to you and an exercise program tailored to your specific needs? Thanks in advance.
649848 tn?1534633700 I enjoy the Jillian Micheals DVDs (ie. 30 day shred, shred it with weights and 6 week six pack). I work long shifts 4 days a week so i can usually get in a workout 3 maybe 4 days a week. Its worked for my weight loss and I really enjoy exercising at home. Great cardio and gives you a good burn!
Avatar f tn You will find out if you can control cholesterol through diet and exercise. Cholesterol is a long game. So, you can give yourself six months or nine or a year to see what you can do on your own. If it becomes apparent that you can't get the numbers into a safe range, then you can decide whether a statin is worth it. That your total already dropped so much, that's pretty amazing! Sounds like your diet plan is good.
Avatar n tn Just go to You Tube and look up ab exercises. There will be a million of them. The above post is referring to interval training, and that's going to be hard to do if you can't get away from your kids for awhile, and isn't going to be easy to do if you've never done it. Again, none of us know what your physical condition is right now, so we can't know how much you can handle.
