Six pack under fat layer

Common Questions and Answers about Six pack under fat layer

six-pack

Avatar m tn No matter how many ab exercises you do, it won't show until the layer of fat is gone. Crunches and flutter kicks may give you six pack and but they won't show. Cardio helps burn fat and will remove that layer right off your belly. Anything that can get you heart pumping is cardio so make it fun! Dance fast to an upbeat song. Do jumping jacks. Run in place or just run. Look up at home cardio workouts for some fun ideas. Zumba is a great cardio workout.
Avatar f tn I know I have muscle definition in my stomach, I can feel it, (quite literally), but I have to burn off a layer of fat to be able to see them. also, I drink about a gallon or more of water a day, and try to eat very little sugar, besides in fruits. how long should it take to burn that layer of fat at this rate? are there any good workouts and or things to incorporate that will help with fat loss and abdomen muscles?
Avatar n tn Hi Everyone, I have been trying these for months and months but it doesn’t help me anymore. I am talking about six pack abs that I am trying to get. I joined a gym for this and the trainer told me that I would get them…but NOOOO!! That did not help me and later on I have tried a few tips that I have been suggested by my friends but that also was of no use (the whole thing helped the abs a little…but not as I wanted).
Avatar m tn So I don't know if I am being hyper-paranoid or something, but it seems to me like I have an oddly distended and large lower abdomen, despite having little-to-no belly fat (I even have a six pack... sort of). It can look "normal" if I suck it in really hard, but it always droops right back down if I stop. I also tend to feel like my abdomen is "full" after eating very little (i.e., it feels stretched out).
Avatar n tn For a six-pack to show, you must reduce body fat. The body fat percentage necessary to reveal a cut torso varies according to your genes and body type, but for most men, a percentage of 6 to 8 percent will reveal abs, while for women require a percentage of about 11 to 13 percent. To reduce body fat, reduce calories below what you burn daily, which can be determined by finding your basal metabolic rate. A 250- to 500- deficit daily will lead to a 1/2- to 1-pound weight loss in a week.
Avatar n tn We all know that no amount of sit-ups or crunches will give you a six- pack! A six-pack is the result of a clean diet as stated above, low body fat and hard, hard training. Crunches are what I consider a good "finisher" at the end of your core training, poor form often results in not much else than a sore neck. Instead, work your core with dynamic stabilizing moves.
Avatar f tn For me, hard work hard physical labor such as yard work, lifting, perhaps building a wall with stone ... this was the type of work that got me a six pack, but at the same time I was losing weight for a health problem (Celiac) so my body fat got low.
Avatar n tn My daughter is due late October and I am curious if I am supposed to put a onsie on her under her jammies? Socks? Contemplating my hospital bag and have noo idea how to do this. ....
Avatar n tn However, the length of time it takes to get-six pack abs depends upon your gender, how consistently you train and whether or not you have an excess amount of body fat. Strength train consistently and follow a hypertrophy, or muscle building, program. That's a high frequency of training sessions, with each session being of high volume. Rectus abdominus muscles like all muscles in your body require a rest from strength training, so allow 48 hours of recovery time between training sessions.
Avatar f tn Ok so here is the deal: I have been a member of my gym for about 10 months now, but i have been exercising for at least a year before that. My goal is to get a defined stomach area, but i haven't been able to do much. I want that girly six pack that you see on swimsuit models where it looks like their skin shrik wrapped itself around their lean muscles. Now this month i turned up the heat on my exercises. I do cardio for 2 hours now, then i hit the weights with all that i have.
Avatar f tn Hi, i'm 13 years old and i do not know what to do. My friends say i'm not fat, but i feel like i am. I am 7 stone 13 pounds and i do gymnastics 18 hours a week. I am not sure whether to go on a diet or not. Also, i am trying to get a six pack, but i don't know how to do so. I do sit ups and leg crunches but should i go on a diet too??
1010685 tn?1295032636 I did develop a strange area in both thighs towards the end of my second treatment… it became numb, and the layer of fat disappeared and left a slight depression about the size of a silver dollar in both legs. No lasting issues; the numbness and tingling (like neuropathy) disappeared within six months post treatment.
Avatar f tn For tops what I do is wear whatever top I want over a tank I know I can nurse in. Just pull up the top layer and the tank down when you want to nurse. I've been breastfeeding for six months and don't own a single nursing top.
Avatar f tn Exercises to pull in your tranverse abdominals (think of those as a corset around your core, the rectus abdominals are those which make a six pack) are planks (side and pushup position), isometric holds (think holding a pullup bar and pulling your legs up straight and holding for a few seconds at a time). But focus on your diet to get rid of stubborn belly fat. Cardio will also help shed the excess fat. Try walking on an incline for 20 mins, then build to jogging intervals for 20.
Avatar f tn The noises that a baby hears is muffled. You know how noises sound when you're under water? It's like that but it has water, organs, muscles, a layer of fat, and skin for sound to penetrate.
Avatar f tn Many articles written about the flat abs fantasy. One geneticist stated its all in the genes for having a six pack. The goal should really be to decrease belly fat. I work out a lot, but my body just will never have the Hollywood abs mythos and I am fine with that. You are right. Its not normal.
Avatar m tn Welcome to manhood, dude. Yeah, what you're describing is perfectly normal. You'll notice the veins in your arms and hands more often. They expand for a few reasons and when they do you'll notice that they pop up. If it get really hot they'll do it, especially if you're exercising, because you're body is putting more pressure on your blood to move it around more quickly. You'll also notice them if there is increased pressure on your veins.
Avatar f tn but my doc tells me its okay its just baby fat lol i tell her all the time im not a baby its regular fat..and she always laughs at me..dont worry about it...i always have a female doc.
Avatar f tn There is a medical name for this -- it is that the fat layer under the skin suffered some damage. Sometimes the dent will fill in over time (a long time) and sometimes it won't. People often write about this in inquiries on the Internet regarding a bad bruise on their leg that left a seemingly permanent dent.
1201433 tn?1328997637 Also, the subcutaneous layer of fat disappeared in the numb area, leaving a depression in the skin about tow or three inches in diameter. Everything eventually resolved; the most disturbing thing for me was the nerve damage/numbness, but it straightened out eventually.
225036 tn?1294509400 I was concerned because I had the same stuff coming from my incision and the surgeon told me that when they cut your layers of skin, there is a fat layer that gets cut too and that is what is draining (fat, basically). I am sure he said it in more medical terms. I told him, then "hey, let's drain all my fat while we are at it!" Thankfully, he thought that was funny. We did have to pack mine a little bit and then it granulated just fine - although I have a funky looking scar.
Avatar f tn My routine used to be shower, heat pack, injection, cool pack/heat pack, dance around a bit, apply fresh alo vera to site, let it all dry and then put clothes on. The stinging was most pronounced in my stomach. And then, at about the 3 week mark, I just gave up. Now my routine consists of the 20 second injection after my shower and that is it. The stinging is still present, and I avoid my stomach at all costs, but I guess I just wanted it all over as soon as possible.
