six-pack

Avatar n tn I thought it was a mild flareup due to winter season and my regular dx gave me a Prednisone pack. With flareups like this in the past, a Prednisone pack typically did the trick. This time it did not. I finally went to a pulmonologist who ordered me a PFT as I had not had one in a number of years. The results were not good. Pulmo said I had very poorly managed asthma and results showed a moderate to severe asthma classification.
Avatar m tn TAPSE 24mm, my RVSP was 25mmHg (TR 2.27m/s) Photo is here: http://www.medhelp.
Avatar f tn I've been exercising for long time and i can feel my six pack (when i push my finger on my belly) but it's hidden under a layer of fat. Why? What should i do? Any tips?
Avatar m tn m a 32 y/o male who has never smoked, and lead an active lifestyle. I also have a history of chronic anxiety and nasal polyps for the past 5 years. Over the past six months, I have felt more "short of breath", which I started to notice a few weeks after having a pulmonary function test. I'm still able to work out, and the shortness of breath varies and I don't notice it when my attention is somewhere else, but I do notice it at rest.
Avatar f tn For me, hard work hard physical labor such as yard work, lifting, perhaps building a wall with stone ... this was the type of work that got me a six pack, but at the same time I was losing weight for a health problem (Celiac) so my body fat got low.
Avatar n tn My TLC is high (129% of predicted) and RV is very high as well (143%) but my RV/TLC ratio is within normal limits. (111% of predicted) ...would this still support a diagnosis of air trapping? Also my FRC and TLC are both high, but my FRC/TLC ratio is within normal limits. would this still support their diagnosis of hyperinflation? Is it possible that i just have abnormally giant lungs for my age and height? my FEV1/FVC is normal 83.52% or 102% of predicted.
Avatar m tn I fear to stay a child all my life - maybe because of my food choose (only very healthy) and my extreme training programm to become a six pack ... that was because I was one or two head lower than the others in my class when i come to grammar school.. always being one of the worst in sports.. Well - now I dont do so much sports and I am eating everything that is fat ... I do the opposite of health food and eat everything you shouldnt do according to scientists ..
Avatar f tn Today was injection day - Week 39. When I went to refill my pill container, I discovered I missed two AM doses, six pills. Will this compromise my treatment? Took 2 tranquliziers, haven't needed them for a long time.
203342 tn?1328737207 I just saw The Changling last night for the first time. That was so good but so sad! It's still worth watching, though, if you all haven't seen it yet. And I know, I'm probably slow here! But, hey, I do usually wait till things are out on DVD. It's just too dang expensive to go to the theater anymore and this way we can watch in our jammies with our own popcorn! So, what have you all seen and recommend?

Avatar n tn a 2nd ablation until the six month mark has passed and everything has calmed down...basically it takes a full four to six months to know if the procedure is a fail or not......and listen to Jenny she had some good advice for you ....all in all in the first 4 months after my ablation i had i think 3 different incidences where during one of those i had to be converted...its a no brainer...iv line and an additive to calm my heart down and convert it back the ways its supposed to be...
Avatar n tn We all know that no amount of sit-ups or crunches will give you a six- pack! A six-pack is the result of a clean diet as stated above, low body fat and hard, hard training. Crunches are what I consider a good "finisher" at the end of your core training, poor form often results in not much else than a sore neck. Instead, work your core with dynamic stabilizing moves.
Avatar f tn Hi, I've seen on the forums a few times the mention of that movie "The Secret" can anyone tell me is that movie related to the book that Oprah talks about? Can anyone tell me how to get it? I went to Block Busters and to a little place in my neighbor hood and to the local Library and they didnt have it at any of those places. I appreciate any info any one can give me.
Avatar n tn For a six-pack to show, you must reduce body fat. The body fat percentage necessary to reveal a cut torso varies according to your genes and body type, but for most men, a percentage of 6 to 8 percent will reveal abs, while for women require a percentage of about 11 to 13 percent. To reduce body fat, reduce calories below what you burn daily, which can be determined by finding your basal metabolic rate. A 250- to 500- deficit daily will lead to a 1/2- to 1-pound weight loss in a week.
Avatar f tn Would the following results clearly show if a patient was being tested for restrictive v obstructive lung problems. I ask as part of the test results have been blacked out although i can faintly see number results for things like TLC, RV/TLC [which i haven't put on] Thankyou for your help Pre Act Pre Pre % pred pre SR FEV1 - 2.78, - 2.70 - 97 -0.23 FEV1/FVC % 80.
Avatar f tn I need to pack my daily lunch healthier than I have been any suggestions
Avatar n tn The CLC0, actually DLCO, is definitely, significantly reduced. The borderline TLC and the definitely reduced RV and RV/TLC ratio are suggestive of restrictive lung disease. You failed to list the result of the FEV1 which would be the most important measurement for evaluation of asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), although the low TLC value would be against the diagnosis of either of these 2 obstructive lung diseases.
