Avatar f tn What happened to you? You used to be a nice guy! Have you stopped taken pax? Let me tell you something I don't know your age but I'm 69 and In great shape!! I'm on coumadin and have to be careful on my protein intake as in interferes with coumadin and I have to watch my vitamin K as you know that helps clotting so I'm limited to my greens. My six pack isn't what it used to be. I'm at the gym 5 days per week! P.S.
Avatar n tn We all know that no amount of sit-ups or crunches will give you a six- pack! A six-pack is the result of a clean diet as stated above, low body fat and hard, hard training. Crunches are what I consider a good "finisher" at the end of your core training, poor form often results in not much else than a sore neck. Instead, work your core with dynamic stabilizing moves.

I joined a gym for this and the trainer told me that I would get them…but NOOOO!! Strength train consistently and follow a hypertrophy, or muscle building, program. That's a high frequency of training sessions, with each session being of high volume. Avatar f tn I know I have muscle definition in my stomach, I can feel it, (quite literally), but I have to burn off a layer of fat to be able to see them. also, I drink about a gallon or more of water a day, and try to eat very little sugar, besides in fruits. how long should it take to burn that layer of fat at this rate? are there any good workouts and or things to incorporate that will help with fat loss and abdomen muscles?
Avatar m tn No matter how many ab exercises you do, it won't show until the layer of fat is gone. Crunches and flutter kicks may give you six pack and but they won't show. Cardio helps burn fat and will remove that layer right off your belly. Anything that can get you heart pumping is cardio so make it fun! Dance fast to an upbeat song. Do jumping jacks. Run in place or just run. Look up at home cardio workouts for some fun ideas. Zumba is a great cardio workout.

But focus on your diet to get rid of stubborn belly fat. Cardio will also help shed the excess fat. Try walking on an incline for 20 mins, then build to jogging intervals for 20.
Avatar f tn Many articles written about the flat abs fantasy. One geneticist stated its all in the genes for having a six pack. The goal should really be to decrease belly fat. I work out a lot, but my body just will never have the Hollywood abs mythos and I am fine with that. You are right. Its not normal.

Avatar f tn I am six weeks and four day along.the week before I found out the scale said i was 200lbs. I gained 35 lbs this winter witch I'm not proud of. Anyways I feel so fat and big already at six weeks. Will I gain a lot more? I constantly feel full and I have pressure under my ribs. No morning sickness yet or any other symptoms. I'm really afraid to gain to much weight and also feel like I no control over my eating. Any advice?
Avatar f tn You get a flat stomach by dieting, any exercise will help build some muscle there but most people have a six pack underneath the fat already, and everyone has a "flat stomach underneath the fat.. This is why and on skinny guys don't count :P Also, a lot of people's pooch or whatever you call it has a lot to do with inflammation of the digestive track.

Avatar m tn So I don't know if I am being hyper-paranoid or something, but it seems to me like I have an oddly distended and large lower abdomen, despite having little-to-no belly fat (I even have a six pack... sort of). It can look "normal" if I suck it in really hard, but it always droops right back down if I stop. I also tend to feel like my abdomen is "full" after eating very little (i.e., it feels stretched out).
Avatar n tn I have what I describe two extra breast under my armpit, I alway cover up my arms so that no one see my extra breast. I was told by my then female doctor that I was fat!! and I need to lose some weight, really !! dowm to size 12 from a size 14 and guess what my breasts under my armpit are getting bigger rather than smaller. now I am getting a sharp burning pain under both armpits.
