Six pack diet and training

Common Questions and Answers about Six pack diet and training

six-pack

Avatar n tn A six-pack is the result of a clean diet as stated above, low body fat and hard, hard training. Crunches are what I consider a good "finisher" at the end of your core training, poor form often results in not much else than a sore neck. Instead, work your core with dynamic stabilizing moves. Using more muscle groups to balance and move, you can burn more calories and build a stable center, which is exactly what you need to be stronger in everything you do.
Avatar n tn We all know that no amount of sit-ups or crunches will give you a six- pack! A six-pack is the result of a clean diet as stated above, low body fat and hard, hard training. Avatar m tn Before i was fat, but now i became thin, but now i feel weak, and i want to have a really good physique. I want to change my workout and diet but the desire of having 6 pack abs is forcing me to keep on going on the same diet (which is starving myself). So my main point here is that i want someone to guide me. I dont want to be thin i want to be ripped. I want to like go on the beach and to feel confident that i have a good shaped and ripped body.
Avatar n tn However, the length of time it takes to get-six pack abs depends upon your gender, how consistently you train and whether or not you have an excess amount of body fat. Strength train consistently and follow a hypertrophy, or muscle building, program. That's a high frequency of training sessions, with each session being of high volume. Rectus abdominus muscles like all muscles in your body require a rest from strength training, so allow 48 hours of recovery time between training sessions.
Avatar f tn s in the past three weeks through diet and exercise. In general I am probably feeling a little better.) Thanks for your time and any feedback.
Avatar f tn s Gym, which is one of the hardest core gym in the country, and I watch a lot of sports, and almost nobody has six pack abs except the ones who use steroids or have remarkable genetics. You guys have been reading too many Arnold Swarzenegger publications.
Avatar f tn I do cardio every day at the gym 3 days anaerobic and 2 days aerobic. Strength training I do on Mon,Wed, and Fri.
Avatar f tn Unfortunately there isn't enough information about what you're exercise routine is. If all you're doing is cardio and legs...... You're not necessarily going to lose weight and it definitely won't get you a six pack. You're nutrition is going to be about 90% of it but if you want to see those abs you're going to need to change up your routine.

Avatar f tn ve done tons of research about stomach fat and the best way to burn it is by a balanced diet and by drinking a lot of water and engaging in both cardio and strength training, but is there anything else? i workout usually everyday, at the least 5 times a week, very rarely 4. I eat quite heathy, taking in a lot of fruits and vegetables and trying to watch my serving sizes and portions.
Avatar n tn Just go to You Tube and look up ab exercises. There will be a million of them. The above post is referring to interval training, and that's going to be hard to do if you can't get away from your kids for awhile, and isn't going to be easy to do if you've never done it. Again, none of us know what your physical condition is right now, so we can't know how much you can handle.
Avatar f tn I've been exercising for long time and i can feel my six pack (when i push my finger on my belly) but it's hidden under a layer of fat. Why? What should i do? Any tips?
Avatar n tn Eat at least five servings of fruits and vegetables per day to provide your body with the essential minerals and nutrients needed for healthy weight gain before training. Fruits and vegetables contain glucose, which will provide your body with the necessary energy for a successful workout. In addition, the high fiber content in fruits and vegetables will prevent constipation that may occur when eating large amounts of carbs and proteins.
Avatar f tn I used the blackout curtain method which helped a lot. I just put blackout curtains up in her room. And if she was in her pack n play, i just kept all the blinds shut and had a dim light on. I started around 3 months but she didn't start sleeping through the night til 8 months.
Avatar n tn Hi Everyone, I have been trying these for months and months but it doesn’t help me anymore. I am talking about six pack abs that I am trying to get. I joined a gym for this and the trainer told me that I would get them…but NOOOO!! That did not help me and later on I have tried a few tips that I have been suggested by my friends but that also was of no use (the whole thing helped the abs a little…but not as I wanted).

Avatar f tn I do 20 minutes of cardio and wt train with a circuit type atmosphere while keeping my cardio up during my wt training. I had a hysterectomy at 51, do I need my hormones checked? My job is very physical and I easily walk > 8000 steps and 6 flights.
Avatar m tn A push-up not only helps you to get a stronger upper body, but also a stronger midsection. It incorporates the stabilization muscles of your core, combining an upper-body pushing movement with a plank. It is, in fact, one of the best and most basic exercises for your midsection. Push-ups are a higher value plank.
Avatar f tn It just takes a lot of discipline, and you have to be willing to take it to the extreme! Diet is a major factor!! Avoid deep fried foods, processed foods, refined foods and foods high in saturated fats. Eat foods that are nutrient-dense, high in fiber and low in fat, eat lean meats, low fat dairy, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts and legumes. No liquid calories.
Avatar m tn Both my father and younger brother have been diagnosed with Low HDL, my father had a quadruple bi-pass at 53, and my brother was 15 when he was first diagnosed with a high Total/HDL Level. I have always been fit but earlier this year I too was diagnosed with: HDL:34 LDL:119, Total:181, Triglycerides:141 My doctor said to increase exercise and take fish oil. I'm coming up on the six month mark and I got a health screening through my work, as a preview, before I went back to my doctor.
Avatar m tn People who are new to working out they should start off their training program with 2 effective abdominal training sessions per week training each of the abdominal sections, start off slow and just do 4-5 sets of crunches at each session. Then, as you feel they are getting less sore and better conditioned for that type of workout, you should add a few more sets to each session or throw in new exercises, like hanging knee raises.
Avatar f tn Exercises to pull in your tranverse abdominals (think of those as a corset around your core, the rectus abdominals are those which make a six pack) are planks (side and pushup position), isometric holds (think holding a pullup bar and pulling your legs up straight and holding for a few seconds at a time). But focus on your diet to get rid of stubborn belly fat. Cardio will also help shed the excess fat. Try walking on an incline for 20 mins, then build to jogging intervals for 20.
Avatar n tn If you are wanting to loose weight rather than build more muslce I would drop down on the weight you are lifting for your strength training and do more repetitions that way you are still working your muscle but not bulking up so much. Cardio helps maintain your weight so I would recommend more strenth training than cardio but if you are worried about running building up your leg muscles you could do your cardio on an elliptical machine or a stationary bike. Good luck!
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis 2 years ago. I spent 17 days in the hospital and received high dose oral steroid treatment to treat it. It went away; however, the problem has resurfaced. My doctor has recommended I start a six food elimination diet. My question is: is there anybody doing this diet and how are you avoiding these foods? They seem to be in everything at the store. MY SFED consists of egg, milk, seafood/shellfish, tree nuts/peanuts, soy, and wheat.
