t need surgery and my bone was repositioned and i was put in a cast. I had my sixteenth birthday with a cast on my right leg and i have had to cancel my driving test as i can't drive with a cast on. I will be with a full walking cast for another 2 weeks (its been 5) and then i will have a short walking cast for another 3 weeks. How long after that can i drive again and also how long until i play soccer. I will be going to physical therapy.

I fractured the lower part of my fibula near the growth plate one week ago, and was in a Splint for 3 days.

I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone. He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.

Believe it or not, my van ran over my leg 3.5 weeks ago. Long story short: I thought I had it in park, but it was in reverse. I got out and it started rolling away backward downhill & I tried to chase it down the driveway. I never made it inside & fell, getting my left left run over by the front tire. Ouch, to say the least! Miraculously there were no broken bones, but of course LOTS of contusions, swelling and pain.

Hi..everybody!! I notice that my foot drop is getting worse. My toes will no longer bend up on the left side. At best, maybe 2 toes will respond, but will not fully go up. When I try to bend them down, my foot and leg has a mind of it's own. It will start to shake, and my toes will barely react. It is very weak. My ankle stops, and will not lift up above a 90 degree angle. As far as bending down, it is stuck as well and limited compared to the right.

yup me too I had one on my leg in England I lived in Deer country ..dh had to pull it out, yes I did get sick a few weeks later ... I am tested for Lyme it keeps coming up negative so every now and again I take anti biotics and treat myself ....I also draw the line at fleas, and mozzies... any suckers ...yuck .

I was given Morphine first time in my life I, when they check on me later, my entire leg was a 10 in the pain level. I stayed over night after talking with the Dr, he was concerned with the possible blood clot. I also had left hand tingles & numbness- it feels like when a body part goes to sleep, this time from my thumb to my middle finger hurt to be touched, also minor numbness in right hand. When I have a MRI of the spine & they place the back board under me.

Help! I'm at my wits end. Im 27 and I have been dealing with leg pain for the last 16 years. When it first started (the age I first remember,11 ) I took a short walk it went away. Now nothing I do works anymore. long/short walks, stretching, resting, hot bath/jacuzzi no longer works. No doctor will prescribe pain killers (which is only thing that provided temp relief) them to me because they dont believe me.

2 weeks ago I was hit by a car and had my leg broken, the knee socket crushed and my shoulder broken. They performed surgery on the knee about 12 days ago and are about to do surgery on the shoulder. I just realized that I came on to this forum in January of 2007. Had a short session with Oxycontin but long enough to become addicted. Didn't realize that even a month on oxy can cripple you mentally and physically. Went into withdrawal cold turkey and went through the same witdrawal symptons as others who were addicted longer. This forum and the many people here, who showed me a world of support were quite a bit instrumental in my managing to make it through the withdrawal.

s my story , i had a broken tibia and fibula as well i was trying tio help a female from getting beaten by his boyfriend , it was slippery oitside my right leg went forward and my left leg went backwards and my big ***( lol ) landed on top of my ankle and distored my ankle and broke my tibia and fibula , i went to the hospital where i stayed two nights then on monday i had to go see the bone doctor at the other hosiptal and told me that your fracture was a bad one .

I know it's good to have a sense of humor ...but I'm honestly sick of the pregnancy jokes already! Maybe it's because I work around a lot of employees plus I work with the public so it's pretty much constant but I'm so annoyed already and I'm only 27 weeks !!

Does anyone else get offended by jokes that people always make about STDs, particularly herpes? Since I just got diagnosed with herpes I find them very offensive now. My question is should I be offended? And why do people find herpes so funny?

So we just about finished Sky's room and it looks amazing. I was being stuborn and absolutly insisted that I hang her curtians...even though Ivan kept telling me to let him do it..but of course i didn't. So anyway while i was up on the step laddar it collapsed and my leg ended up getting stuck in it and i fell straight down. i ended up on the floor and at first i thought i was ok until i tried to get up and that when most of the pain started. i couldn't move my leg at all.

Hi Kritzee, At 19 chances are you've done all your growing, so the simple answer is - nothing that most people would consider worth it. The only possible solution is major surgery, but although it is available for cosmetic purposes in some countries (not ones where you'd necessarily want to undergo major surgery) it is mainly reserved for patients with dwarfism, or suffering from a severe leg-length discrepancy - and for good reason.
