t throw the whole body of medicine out the window because of this -- we understand human beings sometimes do things for money that harm us or that no medicine has been invented that is perfect. Valerian does stink, that means you really got valerian, though cats love it but it does work for many people and has for centuries. Does it work for everyone? No. Can it produce side effects, particularly in people like you who don't know how to properly use them or which companies to trust?
I know there's probably been hundreds of posts regarding Valerian, but I thought I would post my thoughts on it as well. :)
As I had posted a few days ago, I tried Cymbalta and had really bad problems with the side effects of it.
So, since I was still feeling anxious, I decided to give an herbal remedy a try. I stopped by the store on my way home last night and picked up a bottle of Valerian.
The bottle recommended that I take three pills prior to bedtime.
I tapered off more slowly, and in addition, I am taking Magnesium supplements (Mag is used in hospitals for women in preterm labor to stop contractions) need kinda high doses, check with a professional nutritionist or naturopathic doctor on dose) stops the GITTERS. Also, am taking Valerian Root and Melatonin (health food stores have this). Valerian is a natural herb that calms you down and helps with depression, and Melatonin also calms you down and helps you sleep.
Are these two drugs compatable levothyroxine and sertraline hcl? Does your thyroid control your blood sugar?
I'm a 30yr old male. I was on Sertraline approx 10 years ago for depression and it seemed to work until a crash. For one reason or another over the years, my treatment has changed several times. It is 2011 and i have found my way back to sertraline. I am currently taking 10mg of buspirone 2x day and 15mg of mirtazapine for major depression and generalized anxiety. I have been feeling constantly tired, apathetic and despondent.
Fluoxetine (Prozac) is usually prescribed for depression, not anxiety. I would question my doctor about his choice of meds. That is simply my opinion. That he had you Xanax, which IS an antianxiety med makes sense, although I wish he would have made a different choice there as well. Another strong opinion. It's good that he is suggesting you now get off it. Do so ASAP. It should be easy for you to stop since you are taking it prn (as needed) and state that 30 pills last you 3 months.
I am searching for help with herbal supplements. I am wanting to try valerian root to ease my stress/anxiety. Anyone know if it is safe to take with Paxil?

I have had migraines for the past 20 years, normally I experience 3 or 4 migraines a year but since I have been taking Sertraline I have had many more than usual. I am sure that it is the Sertraline because I normally take it before bed and have woke up several mornings with the leftover pain from the migraine I had while sleeping ( before Sertraline I have never had a migraine during the night ).

The sertraline lol now I take celexa and its not really making me feel too different from the sertraline but, im always all over my bf now ahaha and as for the anxiety the sertraline basically killed that monster lol
My doctor prescribed me Sertraline 25mg on top of my existing med. The first day I took Sertraline I got stomach upset and diarrhea; reduced to 12.5mg now. I m suffering side-effects like I'm having a fever(fatigue, sweaty, chills at times). On top of that, my menstruation's cramp is exceptionally bad this time, not sure it was affected by Sertraline. I am not sure this med would help me anymore. Hope someone could induce more positive effects about Sertraline.
Hi,use of sertraline for more than 6 months is associated with weight gain,but the incidence is very less and that too not significant.Whereas topomax causes weight loss.
Please consult doctor before quitting sertraline as withdrawl symptoms are quite common.
Hello Ireland from UK. I took 150mg Sertraline once daily. I am on a different drug, but still take 150mg in one go. No problem with that. Your new doctor is right.
hiya, i have just been changed from one anti depressant to another called sertraline, i have been taking it for just over a week, i have been getting terrible headaches, which feels like my head is going to blow, my skin is uncontrollably itchy to the p-oint of scratching until i bleed, i am having terrible pounding in my chest, with palpitations, not sleeping at all, feeling sick a lot, dizziness, tightness in the chest to the point of it feels like i am being choked and can not breath properly
i so hoping by Friday I feel some relief iv had my last 100mg of sertraline today as it's been hell for me on it I just hope the 37.

Are the symptoms I am experiencing a side effect of sertraline? I am on day 16 of taking 50mg sertraline after switching from cymbalta to try and find a saferdrug to try for pregnancy. Week one I was emotional but that settled down and week two was manageable and i felt generally calmer. However by day 14 anxiety smptoms worsened and i am feeling flushed in the face and tingly in arms and waking early feeling unable to cope with nerves and sweating. Should I stick it out?
