Hi, does anyone know i you can take Amitriptyline and Sertraline at the same time. I have been taking Amitriptyline for a while for depression and pain but 6 weeks ago I suffered a stroke and my depression is worse so was given Sertraline along with the other.

I have been taking the generic for Zoloft, Sertraline, for about 8 months now. I did another physical 3 wks ago, and it showed my TSH levels off and my Cholesterol as 276 with high LDL cholesterol also. My HDL level was high, which is great. I exercise and eat very healthy.
Hi,use of sertraline for more than 6 months is associated with weight gain,but the incidence is very less and that too not significant.Whereas topomax causes weight loss.
Please consult doctor before quitting sertraline as withdrawl symptoms are quite common.

Since we can not predict if your depressive symptoms will disappear after treating the anxiety, Sertraline seems to be a better option than anti-anxiety medication alone. With Clonazepam as an adjunct, you can expect a faster response.
or focus in on them more intently and decided that any odd feeling was related to the medication when in reality, it may not have been due to the sertraline. Remember, we are already anxious, and I was at least initially scared when I started taking it for the first time.
Also, are you in any form of counseling? SSRIs like sertraline will not 'cure' you of anything in my opinion.

hiya, i have just been changed from one anti depressant to another called sertraline, i have been taking it for just over a week, i have been getting terrible headaches, which feels like my head is going to blow, my skin is uncontrollably itchy to the p-oint of scratching until i bleed, i am having terrible pounding in my chest, with palpitations, not sleeping at all, feeling sick a lot, dizziness, tightness in the chest to the point of it feels like i am being choked and can not breath properly
i have been suffering from major depression and anxiety for more than 6 months, i tried different medication but nothing helped but recently my doctor gave me new medication called sertraline and after 2 weeks of taking this medication i feel 70% better than before. my main symptoms have started to vanish and i feel like full recovery is just around the corner.
So the only medication you currently take is sertraline? Perhaps a slightly higher dose would be more beneficial??
hi ive been put on sertraline 50mg for anxiety ive only just had one tablet i feel horrible my head hurts ive got a dry mouth and my speech is slurry i cant live with this hopefully i can just stop taking it.
citalopram did exactly the same to me i was on it for 6 months its not good i dont ever wanna take another anti-depressant again, will i be ok if i just stop after only one dose? i don't wanna do this again.
Mouth dryness is a somewhat common side-effect of sertraline. Sip water often, or chew gum/suck on hard candy to stimulate saliva.
I have had a severe background of anxiety but now cant take medication.. im feeling a little funky stomach feels kinda mixed headachr dizziness shaky chills. But i just wemt to thr bathroom and when i wiped i had slight very little little little of light pink on the paper i wiped again and ot was the samr and the same thing happened yesterday should i be concerned ??
Okay, now I think I know what you are taking, sertraline, which in the states is Zoloft. Plus your Xanax equivalent. These are medications that are often prescribed for OCD, anxiety, depression. The sertraline can have side effects. What are you feeling like? I don't want to list side affects because I don't want you to start looking for particular one. :) How much Sertraline are you taking and how much alprazolam do you take during the day?
Hi everyone. About 2 weeks ago my medication of Levothyroxine and Sertraline was increased to Levothyroxine 100 micro grams and Sertraline 50mg. About a week after starting these I got a positive pregnancy test (I took about 3 tests just to make sure lol). I have a midwife appointment tomorrow but my symptoms have been bare to none (Only cramping, tiredness and on/off headaches). I was wondering if any of these medications can effect a pregnancy test?
ive bn taking sertraline for around 10 years, very appropriate medication for my symptoms it seems but recently ive started having heart palpitations and am slowly sinking into depression again with thoughts of self harm although i dont think i would ever kill myself i do make little cut where it cant be seen. Any advice? brain fog is also coming back.
t induce at night but feel sleepy at day time thus disturbing my working days.I want to start with Rozerem for inducing sleep.I wish to take this medication for a month or two and discontinue and get my sleep naturally as usual.Can the sleep disorder rebound after discontinuation? I've also been taking sertraline since many years,could these two drugs interact,if yes what are the effects?
