Common Questions and Answers about Sertraline lorazepam

zoloft

Avatar m tn Im on 50MG sertraline third day on it, and I've been on lorazepam .5MG been on for about 2 months, the lorazepam helped a lot and helped me become ok in public but then I had a bad breakup and didn't eat for about a weekend and things started to look better I started eating again but I'm scared that I have a anxiety disorder and that once I'm done taking the lorazepam for months it won't fix my underlying issues.
Avatar f tn You must speak to a medical professional, we can't give you any advice regarding medications. Anti-depressants and psychiatric drugs can take time to work, there aren't instant cure pills. With all the meds you are taking, call your doctor or at least speak to your pharmacist.
Avatar n tn I had to stop taking Mirtazapine last night as the side-effects I was getting from it are apparently rare and will not go away. I have already taken Citalopram, Sertraline and Mirtazapine for my anxiety but didn't get on with them. I have a phone appointment with my GP this evening and would feel better knowing I had an idea what medication might work best for me. I don't want to take Prozac or anything that will make sick/vomit, dizzy or mimic other anxiety symptoms.
Avatar m tn OK, we're going to make a list here....... You state that you have always had some anxiety in the past, but it apparently wasn't severe and would pass. BUT.........it WAS there. Your first "episode" was a choking sensation and you couldn't swallow, but this feeling passed. It caused you some anxiety, as it would any of us, and this apparently caused the feeling to return which felt like someone was lightly chocking you.
Avatar m tn No I dont take any pain meds. However Im on two medications one is sertraline 100mg/daily, then as needed Lorazepem. Which I took two of those on monday.....
Avatar f tn Is there any possibility that your primary care physician could prescribe a minor, short-acting anti-anxiety drug such as Lorazepam for a severe panic attack while you wait? In addition, while you wait, I'd recommend a lovely, little old book by Dr. Claire Weekes. It is 'Hope and Help for Your Nerves,' available online. This is such a helpful book for understanding and dealing with panic! Dr.
Avatar f tn I have been suffering from anxiety disorder and hyperventilation for the last three months. During the time I took Lorazepam and bisoprolol tablets to control it. After not being successful for long term, my psychiatrist suggested to go fot antidepressants. I took Sertraline 25mg for 4 days straight, however the headaches were so severe that we had to stop the medication. Today it's my 4th day of not taking the medication but I am still having the headaches, hours long.
Avatar m tn Are these two drugs compatable levothyroxine and sertraline hcl? Does your thyroid control your blood sugar?
Avatar m tn I'm a 30yr old male. I was on Sertraline approx 10 years ago for depression and it seemed to work until a crash. For one reason or another over the years, my treatment has changed several times. It is 2011 and i have found my way back to sertraline. I am currently taking 10mg of buspirone 2x day and 15mg of mirtazapine for major depression and generalized anxiety. I have been feeling constantly tired, apathetic and despondent.

Avatar m tn I have had migraines for the past 20 years, normally I experience 3 or 4 migraines a year but since I have been taking Sertraline I have had many more than usual. I am sure that it is the Sertraline because I normally take it before bed and have woke up several mornings with the leftover pain from the migraine I had while sleeping ( before Sertraline I have never had a migraine during the night ).
Avatar f tn Hello everyone, three months ago I started with pgad, which is a condition that you feel unwanted sexual arousal, it is horrible, I couldn't even sleep, at some moments It goes away and others it will return. I went to more than 12 different doctors, anyone knew what was happening. I have ocd, this year is going to be my 5th year with ocd and with anxiety, with despersonalization and irreality.
Avatar n tn The sertraline lol now I take celexa and its not really making me feel too different from the sertraline but, im always all over my bf now ahaha and as for the anxiety the sertraline basically killed that monster lol
Avatar f tn My doctor prescribed me Sertraline 25mg on top of my existing med. The first day I took Sertraline I got stomach upset and diarrhea; reduced to 12.5mg now. I m suffering side-effects like I'm having a fever(fatigue, sweaty, chills at times). On top of that, my menstruation's cramp is exceptionally bad this time, not sure it was affected by Sertraline. I am not sure this med would help me anymore. Hope someone could induce more positive effects about Sertraline.
Avatar f tn Hi,use of sertraline for more than 6 months is associated with weight gain, but the incidence is very less and that too not significant.Whereas topomax causes weight loss. Please consult doctor before quitting sertraline as withdrawl symptoms are quite common.
429209 tn?1224166589 i was on lorazepam (ativan) for 5 years....over those 5 years, knew NOTHING about this drug other than it was what my doctor prescribed for me for my sleep issues after trying every other single thing out there on the market, both prescription and OTC and natural....began at .5 mg....because your body gradually builds up a tolerance to this med, it takes more and more to achieve the same goal....so after five years, i was taking 3 mg and even that wasn't helping as much anymore.....
Avatar n tn I was just prescribed Lorazepam it's the .5mg dosage. I recived the drugs yesterday. I am going on a trip this weekend I i got them to help with the flights The doctor wanted me to try two last night just to see how my body reacts. Well two wasn't doing to much, so I took two more... and more... uo to ten. It really just made me drowsy, a little slow and wabaly. Do you think there are worse conseqences to come? I know it was a very stupid thing to do!
6168959 tn?1379392259 HI, I take prozac daily, but still have panic attacks and real unease throughout the day. my doc put me on lorazepam to help with it, and said take @ 1 mg pill 3 times a day....it helps, but makes me so super tired! is this normal procedure for doctors? the prozac is the best antidepressant i think i've ever been on...makes me feel alot like myself if you know what i mean, but why am i having to pair it with lorazepam? am i wrong in thinking prozac is doing such a great job?
1247613 tn?1268785691 The anxiety had become extreme to the point of serious panic attacks. My mother sent me something called lorazepam, she tells me that if I have an attack, I should take it. I wanted to ask a doctor's opinion before I actually take it at the time of my panic attacks which usually occurs at night. Oh also, if it maters, I haven't had my period in almost 2 years and I have asthma as well as a history of UTIs. So... should I take Lorazepam for my panic attacks with all this history?
142722 tn?1281533616 He called in Lorazepam. Is this med. addictive? It is for my bipolar. He said it was short term. The dose is 1mg and it says to take it when very agitative.
