Hi there, I have been on Zoloft about 2-2.5 months. I slowly worked my way up to 50 mg, starting at 12.5mg, then moving to 25, then 37.5, and finally I've been at 50 mg for about two weeks now. My sweet spot seemed to be between 25-37.5 mgs--I was feeling pretty good at the time-- but my psych thought 50 would be best for my PDD+anxiety.
I started sertraline 50 mg 4 and 1/2 weeks ago for health anxiety, general anxiety and depression. Also 50 mg trazadone for insomnia. At the 2-3 week point I was experiencing some improvements- better appetite, socializing again, much less worry, sleeping better with the trazadone. At my 3 week doctor visit he decided to not increase my dosage since I was seeing improvement.
I would see about gradually upping your dosage. I took 25 mg for two weeks, 50 mg for three weeks, and last week went up to 75 mg. Next week I start on 100 mg. I had terrible headaches, dizziness, and nausea for about three and half weeks, but they've now subsided. The only side effect I experience right now is tremors in my hands.
i stoped this drug for 2 months and yesterday i decided to take it but the last prescription the pharmacy made each tablet 100 mg. and i forgot thinking it was only 25 mg and yesterday i took 2 tablets of 100 mg ( 200mg) thnking they were both only 50 mg. yesterday i didn't sleep as my legs started shaking and kicking all nights , my heart beats so fast, and i feel nausious and dizzy. now i'm still feeling the same and a little bit of fever.
Ok so I think that I might have overdosed on tylenol.Monday i took around 4900 mg of tylenol and tuesday around 4500 mg. Eniway It was a realy stuped thing to do. I read up things about tylenol overodse and I am crazy stressed out I have been so worried that I might have liver damage from tylenol overdose.I do not have any symptons but I have a slight pain under my left shoulder witch could be the first sympton.
- in the last year i drank alcohol only twice or 3 times as maximum
- i was diagnosed as depressed five years ago and i take antidepressants since then, I was taking (solotik) sertraline 50 mg and (tryptizol) Amitriptyline 25mg and trianil(Clomipramine) 25 mg, then i switched (by doctor orders) to (Seraline) sertraline 50 mg and (minitran) Amitriptyline hydrochloride - Perphenazine 25-2 mg.
hi guys i need to ask you about sertraline ,anxiety drug, my doctor prescribed me at the begining with one 25 mg tablet a day, and after 2 weeks two tablets of 25 mg (50mg ), and after that he advised me to start taking 4 tablets bring it up to 100 mg sertraline a day. i stoped this drug for 2 months and yesterday i decided to take it but the last prescription the pharmacy made each tablet 100 mg.
I might be pregnant and my psychiatrist told me not to worry about the embryo. He told me that even while I'm taking 15 mg of Aripiprazole and 50 mg of Sertraline daily, there is no danger. I'm really worried. if I'm pregnant,would these doses harm my embryo being taken daily?
I went home and continued experiencing these symptoms and finally went back to the doctor and told him I want to be put back on Paxil. This time he had me cut back down to 50 mg of Sertraline for 2 days and then jump to Paxil 25 mg for two days and then up to my usual 50. This was around 2 weeks ago and those symptoms are still sticking around.
Thanks so much. I am the "DD" and right now the only place hub goes is to the drs, and he drives his car around the block once every ten days or so to keep the wheels from getting flat spots. Hub was more alert today, even got up and took out the trash and recycling, walked around a bit,and generally felt better. The real test will be Tues and Wed - he takes his shot Mon night and that always amps up the anxiety. Maybe interferon kicks in the adrenalin.
I went back to my GP and accepted the sertraline prescription. I started low and worked up to 50 mg, after a couple of months I felt really good, almost normal again, the panic was nearly non existent and my mood had evened out. Did not last, we upped me to 100 mg about two months ago and I am still feeling so anxious almost all of the time.
Do you think I should try another increase or try another med?

i have been taking sertraline tablet 50 mg for a 2/1 month already and i haven't receive my period from over a month now what do i do i'm panicking whether i'm pregnant what do i do ?!
It worked out fine the first week up until i notice i'm late for my period for a month now and then i started panicking!
, and he told me to take some magnesium, take 100MG 1 day, and then 50 MG the next day and keep alternating -and don't worry about it. My Dr. did not give me any reason as to why the Zoloft makes my leg muscles twitch, or if it's a normal/harmless side effect. My question is: Is this muscle twitching experienced by other Zoloft users, and will this be permanent? Why does it happen? And what usually stops it, lowering or raising the dosage?
i was recently prescribed Zoloft for anxiety/depression and will be taking 50 mg (gradually starting with 25)... my doc said it was ok for me to drink just go slow etc.. i was just gonna get yalls imput bc im afraid i'll damage my liver or something.. i drink about every weekend and i will try and drink in little amounts... its just hard not to drink when people are pushing it at you from all directions and i would usually enjoy it and have a good time..
Im on generic zooloft 50 mg. (sertraline) I was on generic Prozac 40 mg...then it was increased to 80 mg, I had to switch because I was getting heartburn so bad.
I have not been prescribed from a doctor, but bought of the store in Thailand. Popped 50 mg to 100 mg per intercourse. Have used it often for two weeks, and noticed the lack of feeling on the tip under intercourse and even when I stopped using the pills. Now I have to have intercourse over at least 40 min to ***, which is very exhausting and tiring. I noticed it too while masturbating, take just to long time.
Will my penis become normal at any time soon?
The medical profession have no answers. I have suffered from idiopathic angioedema for 25 years, undertaken every allergy test and not found the cause. I have been taking 2 prescribed antihistimines Loratadine & Telfast every day which has helped to reduce the attacks to 2-3 per month. By sheer luck & perserverence I think I have found my solution, I started taking Sertraline 50 mg/day in November 2011 and have only had 1 attack in 10 months.
I was on 20mg of Fluoxetine but it wasn't making me feel any better so I got put on 50 mg of Sertraline. On the packet it says that I have to increase to taking two tablets after two weeks of taking one.
Even though I'm only taking one, I still feel extremely tired and I've begun sleeping much more than I should and it's made me late for college (I'm 17). If this is the case, should I still increase it to two tablets?
