I have been taking the generic for Zoloft, Sertraline, for about 8 months now. I did another physical 3 wks ago, and it showed my TSH levels off and my Cholesterol as 276 with high LDL cholesterol also. My HDL level was high, which is great. I exercise and eat very healthy.

It is 2011 and i have found my way back to sertraline. I am currently taking 10mg of buspirone 2x day and 15mg of mirtazapine for major depression and generalized anxiety. I went to more than 12 different doctors, anyone knew what was happening.
I have ocd, this year is going to be my 5th year with ocd and with anxiety, with despersonalization and irreality.
I am currently taking sertraline for mood swings and have been taking it for about 5 years. I also have recently been put on topamax for migraines. I have read about all this wonderful weight loss. If anything I have gained. Could these 2 medicines together be holding me back from losing> I would like to go off of the sertraline.
25 mg Clonazepam after breakfast. Sertraline after lunch and 0.25 mg Clonazepam, 2.5 mg Propranolol and my regular thyroid medication after dinner. I am trying to wean off Propranolol. Is this correct schedule?
Would I become hypertensive or hypotensive after the initial dosage? Please do reply.

I say this agreeing that anyone with depression can benefit by exercising, but you know, pro athletes suffer depression and they certainly get their exercise. Nobody knows what causes depression, and no medication yet invented cures it, they just tamp down the symptoms. If you were taking medication and it wasn't working, psychiatrists will often add medications to it.
I am on 25mg sertraline, day 8 for anxiety and panic attacks - so far only really feeling the side effects and no real relief yet but am very hopeful given all the positive comments I've read online - if I can just last until it starts to kick in. Also hoping that I won't require a higher dosage.
Before that - in August 2017 I started taking Aripiprazole, which induced severe depression. I stopped taking it after 3 months and got prescribed antidepressants (Sertraline) and Sulpiride. Stopped taking Sertraline in September 2019. I was also tapering off Sulpiride (from 200mg) since January 2021 and stopped taking it on 11th May.
The problem:
I have 0 results from exercise and diet, i.e. I can't lose any fat.
- in the last year i drank alcohol only twice or 3 times as maximum
- i was diagnosed as depressed five years ago and i take antidepressants since then, I was taking (solotik) sertraline 50 mg and (tryptizol) Amitriptyline 25mg and trianil(Clomipramine) 25 mg, then i switched (by doctor orders) to (Seraline) sertraline 50 mg and (minitran) Amitriptyline hydrochloride - Perphenazine 25-2 mg.
It is a good fit. I ended up in a psych ward for 3 days because I ate a bottle of Prozac and everything else made me feel dead inside. I remember wanting to cry and my eyes actually hurting from trying and I couldn't. It sucked and I hate that people have to go through these feelings

Hi everyone. About 2 weeks ago my medication of Levothyroxine and Sertraline was increased to Levothyroxine 100 micro grams and Sertraline 50mg. About a week after starting these I got a positive pregnancy test (I took about 3 tests just to make sure lol). I have a midwife appointment tomorrow but my symptoms have been bare to none (Only cramping, tiredness and on/off headaches). I was wondering if any of these medications can effect a pregnancy test?
Now its pretty much nothing at all unless I drink this tea called smooth move. I have really bad health anxiety and I was on 25mg of sertraline until my insurance stopped and I could no longer afford it. I stopped taking the sertraline a little less than a month ago. I don't know if stopping the med is a cause for constipation. As of about 4 days ago ive just been super bloated especially at night. I usually get some relief from it in the morning but no use of the bathroom.
Now its pretty much nothing at all unless I drink this tea called smooth move. hello i felt the same way in may and june this year but i have been on zoloft till the present and i can work and exercise and see a counselor. you should know you aren't going crazy your arent' going to die. Try leaving your home just for a few minutes each day and you will notice nothing is happening to you, nothing to fear. take deep breathes ..
I started taking Sertraline. Its been 3 weeks now. I am on 50mg for 3 days now and I can't sleep at night. If I try to sleep I wake up and can't even stay asleep for more than 2 hours. During these episodes I feel anxious and out of control. Is this normal. Has anyone ever experienced this before on Sertraline. If so what did you do to help yourself. I am a mother of 4 and a full time student.. I am under so much stress and worry even more so since this Covid19 Pandemic.
Are these two drugs compatable levothyroxine and sertraline hcl? Does your thyroid control your blood sugar?
Hello, I have recently started taking Zoloft for about 6 weeks now and I've had insomnia. But when I take it in the morning I feel sluggish for at least a couple hours and feel Ike I need a nap. I'm only on 25mg now but my doc said I may need to up my dose for full effect. She also prescribed lunesta which did help me fall asleep but I only sleep for like 3/4 hours then I can't go back to sleep! Which also makes me tired. She suggested splitting the dose.
I might be pregnant and my psychiatrist told me not to worry about the embryo. He told me that even while I'm taking 15 mg of Aripiprazole and 50 mg of Sertraline daily, there is no danger. I'm really worried. if I'm pregnant,would these doses harm my embryo being taken daily?
You have been prescribed Sertraline for mood swings and also it is working well for you, your correlation of using Sertraline and getting migraines might be ok, but it is always better to discuss with the doctor who prescribed the drug about its possible side effects and a substitute thereon. You might consult a migraine specialist also to get an evaluation and update on drug use. Try relaxation techniques to decrease stress. Keep posting your views. Take care.
Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows the difference between apo-sertraline and pms-sertraline?
I can't afford to purchase my prescription for pms-sertraline, my mom takes the apo version and gets her prescriptions for free under gov't funding. If there's a difference, I obviously won't take her meds but if it's the same thing I don't see the harm.

It does NOT contain HCG and therefore will NOT affect the results of a pregnancy test. I started sertraline (Zololft) when I was breastfeeding my last baby and became pregnant this time while taking it. I am currently 16 weeks pregnant. While there have not been any major studies done as to the affects of sertraline and pregnancy, it is one of the more commonly prescribed antidepressant meds by ob doctors because there has not been a defiante link made to issues with the fetus.
The sertraline lol now I take celexa and its not really making me feel too different from the sertraline but, im always all over my bf now ahaha and as for the anxiety the sertraline basically killed that monster lol
Often options include trying other meds with less of this particular side effect (for depression/anxiety often pristiq, effexor, cymbalta) or adding another med to the sertraline such as wellbutrin/bupoprion. It can take some trial and error but it can get better!
