Hi my name is Mike and my wife is now currently in the hospital from overdose of seroquel and maybe other medications that she might have.
10+ years on Seroquel for sleep. That's roughly 3,650 pills and nights of restful sleep. Many say you can't get addicted to sleeping pills....but try saying that after 10 years and your body has no idea how to sleep without it. If I run out of pills or lose them....I lose my ever-loving mind. I cry, I panic, I don't sleep. I've tried a few times before and after so many days of not sleeping I can't control my outbursts.
I am having a baby due on Monday the 12th. I had to stay on my Seroquel the entire pregnancy. I was on 400 mg before becoming pregnant and tried to lower it down to 300 mg when I found out. I had to go back up to 400mg after the first trimester because I became moody, and angry.
I was on birth control that didn't work due to my hypothyroidism.
This is kinda my second Seroquel baby. Except with my first I was off my Seroquel during the first trimester.
i been on seroquel wen i was pregnant but i stop coupler weeks after i found out i was pregnant and now my child seems to have a behavior problem does that medication affects my child after i stop taking it
I was on lexapro and warned by my doctor that it is on the "schedule c" list for use during pregnancy. I believe that means it is possible for it to have negative effects on the pregnancy. I was also on hydroxizine and seroquel. I stopped taking mine over a month ago as we had decided to try for one more baby and I was afraid of the possible effects. I have 3 kids but wasn't on any of these meds before or during those pregnancies. Not only that but seroquel can prevent pregnancy.
I've read and read and talked and talked and even personally experimented with my own seroquel dosing. I'm a card carrying bipolar and typical of such folk have tried everything out there in pharm-world alone and in combination. For me, Seroquel is the ticket. I have one problem.
A few years ago I made a move to a more healthy lifestyle which includes diet, exercise, yoga, and meditation - all good things. I even went back to work.
Anyway, beyond all that, I quit taking 6 days ago but I had your help and I had some more help from Seroquel. Believe it or not I chilled by reading these posts and by taking 25mg of the Seroquel every 3 or so hours and 50mg before bed to sleep thru the night. Absolutely worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!! No WD symptoms whatsoever other than being a little groggy from the Seroquel.
Why are the withdrawal symptoms of seroquel the same as the withdrawal symptoms of heroin? I know that you shouldn't just stop taking it and I understand that it is a non-narcotic medication, but I still would like to know why the symptoms are the same? I am currently taking seroquel for anxiety.
I just started taking the Seroquel starter pack. FIrst 50 mg then 100mg. I wake up ny legs and feet hurt and are very stiff. My back, hip and head hurt. I took it at 9pm and it is 1pm. I still am in a fog. Don't even know how I have managed to take care of my 3 kids. My house is pure mess and I can't find the energy to clean it. Is it worth it? Am I suppose to stick it out and it will get better. Give me a 10mg oxycodone and I am superwoman!
also lexapro says it causes hair loss. i couldnt find anything about seroquel causing hair loss. seroquel is my main drug now, i take 300mg seroquel and 300mg seroquel xr at night. so i told my psy doctor and he said i could start tapering off my lithium, so it took me 6 months to get off of it. anyway i had a postive attuite when my hair first fell out in march this year. i was told it will grow back dont worry by the end of the year it will be back to normal.
Seroquel has now worked for 3 nights of sleep. I take clonazapam and lamtrogine. What could I add as decrease 1 of these? Is tegretol a good choice? Long ago I took lithium, but ballooned up in weight. Suggestions to discuss w/my doctor?
Does it really work? Because I have been given 10mg Diazepam and it hasn't helped that much with W/D's or stop the attacks. I have posted about this before and someone suggested that if I can't get Clonidine I should try to get Seroquel. I can't get into much detail on here, but I really need anyone who has taken Seroquel to PLEASE, post about how it made them feel, if it helped with W/D's? Did it let you fall asleep?
I take 200 mg of seroquel to help me sleep if i cut it in half will it still help me fall asleep!! I only have 12 days left of seroquel and i can't see the doctor until the 8th of next month so i'm freaking out about not being able to sleep!! Please help!!
