Avatar f tn Theoretically for your age you'd still be withing the age range of pediatric MS, even rarer than PPMS but the diagnostic rules of RRMS would still apply.... Your clear MRI and entire list of symptoms is suggesting that its unlikely to be due to a neurological condition like MS, MS literally means many scars and the symptoms are caused by those brain and or spinal cord lesions (scars).

1653487 tn?1303527762 I just recently had my first (that I am aware of) seizure at 35 years of age... My husband witnessed the episode but I have no memory of it happening. This happened in my sleep this past Sunday night (March 27th)... After two days in the hospital and the plethora of tests, the MRI came back normal but the EEG showed abnormalities in the back right lobe of my brain. I was placed on an anti-seizure medication - Keppra 1000mg and told that I can not drive for at least 6 months...

Avatar f tn It has been two days since his last seizure but he still hasn't fully recovered, he doesn't know his commands, the people in the house ( including me ), or the other dogs and cats in the house. I want to know if he will even recover from this or if there is something I can do to help. He keeps pacing and whining, even in the middle of the night. Should I bring him in again? Could there be something more serious going on?

If either of these types of seizure spreads to involve the whole brain, your seizure is called a secondarily generalized seizure. The more I looked over the artical - my gut says to get an MRI. Avatar f tn However I will try to provide you with some useful information. It is possible to have two different seizure types. Some people may have a focal seizure which may then secondarily generalize into a grand mal seizure. Others may have multiple foci for seizures, but this is less common. The majority of seizures can be effectively managed with medication. If you are on a medicine and it is maxed out, another medication can be added.

656243 tn?1231291652 Many of us do not WANT to be on meds, but when the quality of our lives is compromised, when we can't work or take care of our kids or even get out of bed, sometimes there is simply no choice. Some have tried to deal with it with only therapy, and for some, that has worked out well. Some have tried a combination, (which I advise) and that works very well as often you can get by with less medication if you also have the support of a good therapist.
Avatar f tn Problem is there are many possible causes of flashes and spots. When you say you have seen different types of eye doctors that should include a comprehensive Eye MD ophthalmologist and a Eye MD retina/vitreous specialist. If you have seen both and nothing serious found its not likely serious. A reasonable approach would be to see if anything new develops or if present symptoms get a lot worse. If so then you might see an Eye MD neuro-ophthalmologist.
