It would certainly be a weird presentation of MS since he has no neurological issues (other than a seizure of course!). so they really expect to find something else but so far this is it. His neuro is consulting with a rheum. this week and we continue to look. The only other test they might do is a spinal tap. It does still fit the description of a seizure. Not all seizures involve paddling, slobbering and loss of bladder control. Those are basically what are considered to be grand mal seizures. Petite mal seizures can be anything from a twitching of the head to a state of catatonia for a brief time, which sounds more or less like what your girl had.

In oct 2012 over a 2 day period, loss use of his right side of body and was admitted back into hosp. where there did mri of head and cerv sping and lumber spine. all somewhat normal as they say. but white spots were found on frontal lobe butthey say its due to age. added symptoms then were core ataxia, spasticity, tremors , he was in a wheelchair for 2 weeks. before discharge they did say he had neuropathy and something with his vestibular wrong.
He thinks he had a seizure during the night. He said he had uncontrolled shaking of his entire body. He also experienced and episode where his tongue started burning entensely and curled to the back of his mouth. This lasted a few minutes, and afterward he was extremely fatiqued. I advised him to see a doctor but he has no insurance. He thinks he had a seizure. He has been having frquent headaches. He is a very healthy young man, who has never been seriously ill before.
The get has given Rosie my border collie a full bill of health physically...just waiting for results of blood test,but I know they'll say ok..got to see if these fits start again..she's prescribe some diazipan just in case...going back in two weeks...started making a journal and made a list of things to do.
