Common Questions and Answers about Seizure in italian

Avatar f tn Reglan (metoclopromadine) is a very cheap medication, unfortunately, it is also metabolized in the kidneys, so a too high dose results in toxic levels in the blood. My husband and I discovered that completely bypassing the GI tract by using reglan injections worked much better in the end. Chica didn't get the extra pyramidal side effects (extreme restlessness, shaking and trembling) from the reglan injections that she got from the oral meds.
Avatar n tn As I read these letters I am bawling, I am in that same situation. My baby Maggie, an Italian greyhound 111/2 years old has CHF. She is in the last stages. Meds are not helping anymore. I've been coaxing her to eat with anything, from hamburgers to chicken. It worked well for awhile, now she only eats sometimes. She coughs and gags when she eats and her energy is low.she coughs a honking cough randomly throughout the day, without provocation. I wish she could pass in her sleep.
Avatar n tn Again, this is not craziness, but rather the result of an imbalance in certain chemicals in the brain. This is treatable with a combination of medications and counseling. I strongly recommend you be evaluated by a neurologist for your symptoms, with further testing and referal to a psychiatrist as he/she feels indicated. Thank you for using the forum I hope you find this information useful good luck.
Avatar n tn Dear Doctor, I'm an Italian woman aged 33. 5 months ago I had a seizure that left me with a dystonia in the face. Then things got worst with continuous seizures lasting for hours : the muscles of my face went up and down, like in a series from right to left. I also felt contractions in my arms and feet. I had a permanent headache that nothing could relieve. Partial epilepsy was diagnosed at EEG, and left hippocampal sclerosis. I was put under Valium and Depakine for 2 days. Relief, at last!
Avatar f tn Hi, I would like to know if having epilepsy in men can necessarily cause problems in their sexual relationship.
Avatar n tn This can help establish the etiology for your son's epilepsy such as a small tumor, hippocampal sclerosis from a possible seizure in infancy with a fever, or birth injury. If your son really has temporal lobe epilepsy coming from only one side of the brain, then he has a great chance of dramatically reducing his seizure rate with removal of the abnormal brain tissue.
Avatar n tn Dear Friend, VNS - Vagal Nerve Stimulator. In general, it prevents seizures by sending regular, mild pulses of electrical energy to the brain via the vagus nerve. Vagus nerve is the tenth cranial nerve and is having an inhibitory effect in general and hence epilepsy is prevented as it's a spike activity. Now i will answer your specific concerns - My question is since the VNS is still on, if she is having seizures will they show on the eeg?

Avatar f tn The ruled out an allergic reaction to seizure meds, deemed it neuropathic, treated it with anti-seizure meds, and left it at that. It was a stabbing, shooting pain in the joint of the mandible, that radiated outward, when i began to drink something, sometimes brought on by other things. My lips itched and burned and were numb, as was my tongue, like shingles. My jaw ached, my skin itched, burned and was numb. The man at the ms society said that was the best description he had heard.
2174134 tn?1337414182 then 8 hours later i woke up in an abulance (and i was living in italy and i didnt speak any italian so i couldnt understand a word they were saying to me, but my auntie was next to me she spoke a little bit on english) then I had an EEG they said said they eltrical waves were abnormal, then i had an MRI and they found a cyst and thought it was from the accident so everyone was worrried.
1382889 tn?1505074793 I thought they had faded to just rare shadows of what once was, but last night they all came back. Oh, not in a flood but in a trickle. As each one came my eyes spontaneously filled with tears and completely brought me back again to that night, that terrible night that I felt I was in hell. I tried to stop thinking about it but as each recollection came, I couldn't stop exploring it.

Avatar n tn I took these artifacts from an elderly Italian woman to have locked in the safe. When it was time for her to be discharged, the government wanted me to attest that I knew these belonged to her, I believed they were, but I had to know. I had this book called "The History of the World". I followed it and found myself in presociety times. I was in a cave living with an Italian family. We gathered water and food. The artifacts were there with her ancestors.
Avatar n tn He breaks out in hives, although the location varies - it could be the groin, the waist or even in his head, in which case he is temporarily blinded. However, he had learned if he takes an antihistamine beforehand, such as Loratadine, he usually will not have a breakout. Every once in a while he gets a craving for beef, so just takes the antihistamine. He also has an epipen in case it starts to appear in his head.
1571878 tn?1354953383 More importantly, I am 4 days clean of dextromethorphan aka DXM aka Robitussin aka a self-imposed prison. Like Emily has done for thousands lost in the fight against Tramadol, I would like to provide a space for those who are losing their lives to DXM. There's still time to fight, and we need to support one another. This is NOT A SPACE to debate the 'merits' of DXM use.

Avatar n tn First off, I'm a 51 year old woman of Italian decent with a long history of very strange symptoms and health problems. When I was a teenager in high school I had a bout with blurred vision that last quite awhile. I remember it vividly because it was very upsetting and I could barely see. My mom took me to the doc who thought it was allergies. Then it went away as fast as it came. Never thought much about it again until now.
Avatar m tn Well first hello group. My first time posting anything in public. I am in trouble and I need help. Situation I have been taking 40 50 mg caps Tramadol per day for the last year or more. I am scared ******** to stop them.

Avatar n tn You haven't posted for awhile so I don't know if you problem is resolved but.... Just curious if they tested your son for either Celiacs or a Wheat allergy? (also for endocrine disorder or pituitary tumors). My son (when he was about two) had slipped from 50% percentile on height to off the charts (like below 5 ot 3%). He also had weeping eczema. He was undergoing authorization for growth hormone therapy when we took him off wheat for his eczema. At some point he had an EGD which was neg.
Avatar n tn It has always been difficult to read even simple books to him - his attention seems to wander. He is very interested in making pages turn, less interested in what's on the page. He was saying "Da" since 1 year old, but has not expanded on that into "Mama", "Dada". (He just recently began saying "More" when signing "more") His attention seems to fade in and out.

544292 tn?1268886268 Hi Tramadol Warriors, Many people have come here for many years, giving support and getting support. Because I still believe that Tramadol is unique in it's ... terror and torture of humans, this thread continues. The people who can understand what you are going thru are the people who have kicked it and there's people here who come back to lend a hand. You also will never need an understanding ear as much. You can do it. You can quit. You do not need to be a slave to Tramadol.
Avatar n tn you and the rest of the world (well everybody in this forum) are looking for an opiate that a person can't build up a tolerence as quickly too. a while back i was looking through a quarterly from england called "the british journal of addiction." (those limey's take their dope real serious) i came across an article that pon- dered just that question. the author talked about a opiate deriv- etive called levo-phanol.
667923 tn?1421466324 I asked for a fluid pill so I could try it and I didn't get it and I don't undestand that. He seems to think I have an infection in which is possible since i do keep nasal congestions and some in chest. All of my weight is right underneath my breast area and I can't sit for long periods or stand long either. I just feel like I am smothering.
