thank you for your comments brooke, i also was told this by the doctor too but i have not taken my salbutamol in 3 days and are still getting these symptoms. i was told the effects of salbutamol last only a short while. thank you so much for your input, it is much appriciated.

bronchodilators and caffeine in tea are both stimulants and cause a rise in heart rate - when you combine them you may get even more of a response (called syngery) then you would see from either of them alone. You could try drinking herbal teas that are caffeine free and this help stop that affect.

I am a 65-year-old white female living in a relatively polluted part of Mexico (west coast tourist mecca). Shortness of breath and dypsnea seem to be increasing in frequency for the past two years. My lung x-rays are fine: no sign of any problems there, even though I am a smoker. Tests show a slightly high cholesterol reading. I have had deep veinal thrombosis, a couple of TIAs, and severe rheumatoid arthritis (for 24 years). Two years ago, my GP prescribed a salbutamol inhaler.

I had stridor 7 hours ago and rushed to hospital as I cannot have salbutamol. I had adrenaline IM and also nebulised. 7 Hours later my heart rate is still sitting at 120 at rest and I have tingling in my fingers and hands, waves on pain in my left chest (that I had at hospital nothing showed on ecg), and short of breath. Should I be worried????

Hi, I've been experiencing severe blood pressure spikes myself - although I'm much older at 59 yrs. I have been researching this because 2 years ago, I landed in the hospital because, despite many medications and medication changes, my BP kept spiking throughout the day. I couldn't do anything other than wait for the next episode to happen. What I've landed on is Baroreflex failure for me.

s doc says it might caz of too much of medicine use and thy say he got water in his heart i didnt get it plz anyone can help me to understand . he is 57y old .

I have not heard of EECP, and I will certainly research it and review it with my cardiologist. You are correct in assuming that I use a regimen of drugs to treat my heart failure, including lots of nitro throughout the day. I still exercise daily, but if I try to stretch it, my symptoms are appear, and my blood sugar spikes as a result of the stress on the heart ( or so I think). It is not uncommon in these circumstances to have my blood sugar go into the 400's.

since my bypass i have had what seems to be alot of fluid in my lungs in march my heart dr did a chest xray said minimal fluid in left lung and no need to do anything but it is now july i wake up 3 times a night with lots of coughing and spitting up a white mucus no swelling in the legs or feet but abdomen is bigger but real hard i am becoming real frustrated any help would be great i am 48 5ft 10 and weigh 205

That said, palpitations don't necessarily mean anything. the heart has to be evaluated to know exactly what it is you are feeling and if what you are feeling is dangerous to your heart.

Im laying in a hospital bed at Baylor All Saints Hospital in Plano Tx. Im on a transplant list right now they have me on a heart pump until I get a transplant or I should say IF i get one. My Patty was diagnosed with Heart Failure 10 days ago, he had been doing pretty good, not liking taking his meds but now he is NOT wanting to eat and when we make it liquid and squirt it down his throat, it has started coming back up.
