Avatar n tn Unfortunately, the long-acting bronchodilator has the potential to cause some of the symptoms you experienced due to the Pro-Airâ„¢ HFA (salbutamol sulphate) Inhalation Aerosol. This may require some patience on your part. Good luck Be sure that all doctors you see, as well as all family members, are aware of your severe reaction to the antibiotic so that you never again are given an antibiotic remotely related to the one that caused the reaction.
1344892 tn?1276541735 However, Salbutamol, also known as Albuterol which is a Class of drugs known as Anticholinergics is known to cause tachycardia and can also cause an increase in blood pressure. Some are able to tolerate this medication with no unwanted side effects...while others suffer from common side effects. I was using Combivent a combination of Albuterol/Atrovent which exacerbated my Afib. My Dr said that the Albuterol was responsible for the exacerbation and suggested that I try using Atrovent instead.
Avatar m tn Many people have trouble with Foradil 12 mcg (formoterol fumarate), but I have used this long-lasting inhaled non-steroidal powder with no side effects whatsoever. It is much longer-acting than albuterol sulfate. And the effects are rapid. As Tammy2009 stated, there are ocassional flare ups. I hope things settle down soon.
Avatar n tn Although it can cause nervousness and many other ill side effects, bad temper does not seem to be one of them. The temper could stem from the asthma itself...because she is 6 she is still trying to find ways to express feelings, pain, etc. It's possible that she's acting this way because she's feeling nervous from the medication or from the asthma itself...remember that it's a scary thing not being able to breath.
920032 tn?1550680156 The very best mucolytic I have found (and no side effects whatsoever) is vitamin B5. Try taking 500 mg daily. That will probably work. I take 1000 because I have chronic bronchitis. I am glad you got off steroids. I too developed adrenal fatigue. That stuff is poison. I substituted natural anti-inflammatories and mucolytics and my breathing, like yours, is much improved. Steroids were actually worsening my condition.
Avatar f tn I am not really familiar with aerocort, but I did do a little research on it. Aerocort appears to be a combination inhaled corticosteroid (ICS - as indicated by the "cort" in its name) and salbutamol (a long acting broncho dilater). This would be similar to Advair or Symbicort. You cannot be addicted to this medicine. You have a chronic disease and this medicine keeps your lungs open so that you can breathe. It is necessary for you to live. It will not harm you in any way.
Avatar m tn I heard that symbicort has less long term side effects but after over a year my FEV1 scores haven't improved at all on it
Avatar f tn I was prescribed Ventolin HFA and Asmanex. I took these medications and had a lot of side effects from both medications. The side effects felt worse than the actual symptoms. I continued taking the Asmanex and did not really notice any difference in my breathing which further leads me to believe that I may not have asthma. I have been prescribed Xoponex HFA and Flovent but I am afraid to take them because of the side effects that I experienced last time.
Avatar n tn Hi, I am a 43 year old female and was put on Advair over 1 yr ago. I have never had any Asthma attaks but was having tightness of breath and feeling i wasn't getting enough air and could barely walk. I never had any allergy or Asthma problems my entire life. After i was put on Advair my breathing problems became worse. I started having more problems with my health. I couldn't breath out of my nose and i constantly had a drip down my throught.

Avatar n tn I would like to limit the amount of medication that I inhale or take due to possible side effects, so if anyone knows of any remedy that might treat this burning sensation, then please reply back to me.
Avatar m tn I think you are lucky that your salbutamol is working , palpitation is its side effects, leave it
Avatar n tn What will happen if you don't rinse your mouth out after you use the Proventil HFA inhaler?
Avatar f tn I was born with eczema and I started to have bronchospasm few years ago. The doc said it might be asthma and prescribed me with salbutamol. However, i found that I don't have the common syptoms as asthmatic people .e.g wheezing or coughing, and it doesn't disturb my sleeping as well. I just feel the bronchi contract and chest tightness which go away after few minutes later without taking the inhaler. I've taken the inhaler before but i found it no use, so i didn't use it anymore.
Avatar m tn Thanks, With Ventolin getting some side effects and thus stooped its use after 5-6 days.
Avatar f tn Im just a little concerned because i used it once so far, and i know that sometimes the side effects can be really severe (ive been having REALLY bad drowsiness, but thats just annoying not much of a big deal) but it also seemed that the inhaler actually made my chest pains worse. It just made it seem like i had this huge gulp of air caught in my chest.. like i needed to burp but couldnt make it come out.
Avatar f tn If I have had a severe Asthma attack my rib cage is sore, usually on the left side near the inner side of my ribs by my breast. I also have coughed so hard I have cracked my ribs. I found using a warn heating pad helps after about 15 minutes. So you are not alone, but I would mention it to you Dr. to be on the safe side. I hope this has helped you.
Avatar n tn Hello~You said you have been to two doctors, have you been to a cardiologist? I really think you should ask for an echocardiogram, stress test and an event monitor that is worn for either 24 hours or an entire week. If the pain is related to your heart, then it will surely show up in at least one of these tests. If all these test have good results, then I would suggest seeing a chiropractor, you may have some pinched nerves in your mid to upper back causing the pain.
Avatar m tn can i give salbutamol in 1st trimister thretened abortion?
Avatar f tn You are welcome to take what you want from mine if it makes sense to you... Rena Conclusion: The episode in March certainly sounds suggestive of a generalized nocturnal seizure and there appeared to be no obvious precipitating factors. The other episodes consisting of an olfactory hallucination could represent an aura and the one episode accompanied by confusion may have represented a complex partial seizure. Her EEG on March 19th was normal.
